I am selling my 1967 Ford F100 Ranger Short Bed Truck. I had plans on hot rodding this truck but simply do not have time. The truck is in overall great shape. 352 FE V8, power steering, all trim intact, body is straight, frame is solid, glass is intact and in great shape, vent windows work, interior is in great condition including gauge cluster, and floors are solid. Included in the auction is a 2003 Ford Crown Vic front suspension that is complete, hub-to-hub, bolt in replacement for the twin I beam suspension. This is a great fitting front suspension upgrade that give the truck a 5-6 inch lower stance, rack and pinion power steering, and 12 inch disk brakes. This truck would make the perfect candidate to restore, hot rod, or rat rod.

The mileage shown on odometer is believed to be correct. 8417 mile. I am not the original owner of the truck but the trucks condition shows no indication of the odometer turning over. The interior, exterior, and bed floor condition support the odometer reading. The transmission is missing. it was removed at one point and was not available when I purchased the truck. The body is in overall solid condition. The paint is original. The body panels are straight and not dented or beat up. The trim in all intact and in good shape. The glass is all intact and in good shape. There is some rust as the pictures show. The tailgate is the worst spot on the entire truck, it will need replaced. The drivers door has a nickel sized hole in it that will be an easy repair. The left cab corner has a rust hole in it, but not rotted away. The right cab corner is in good shape. Both inner cab corners are soft but easy repairs. The doors open and shut solid with no "drop" when opened. Both door jams and rocker panels are in great shape. The interior is in great condition showing very little wear. The carpet, dash, seat, gauge cluster, and steering wheel/ column show very little wear. Both fabric door panels are starting to sun fade. The frame is in good shape, it has some rust scale towards the rear but nothing that is structural. The frame is solid. the right front inner fender has some damage below the battery tray from a leaking battery. It is repairable. The cab floor is solid. The bed sides and floor have some surface rust but along with the rest of the truck are straight. The pictures show the true condition of the truck. It is in overall great shape for being 47 years old.

This truck can be taken either way. It is nice enough to restore but could easily be turned into a hot rod or shop truck.
If you have any questions or concerns about the truck please email me or call me at 330-472-8009.

Thanks,
        Ken

2015 Ford Mustang to make world debut on Dec. 5 [w/video]

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Between a bevvy of spy shots, speculative renders and insidery images from the halls of Car and Driver, we've got a pretty decent idea of what the 2015 Ford Mustang might look like. Still, we're excited to see the real deal as soon as possible.
Turns out that Ford has told us just when that first official look might come, too, although it has chosen somewhat of a backdoor fashion for dropping the news.
The video below popped up on the Ford Mustang YouTube channel this morning, promoting a social media effort called #MustangInspires on. The video and hashtag ask fans of the pony car to share pictures of the car - or "photographic stories of inspiration" - on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. But the truly interesting part of the video description is that which mentions taking "the cover off the all-new Mustang" on December 5. Consider our calendars marked.

Ford Focus Electric gets $6,000 price drop, now starts at $29,995

Mon, Oct 20 2014

In early 2013, the Nissan Leaf shed a massive $6,500 from its $35,200 base price to offer a new starting price of $28,800. Since then, we have seen numerous other plug-in vehicles get smaller price tags, from the Honda Fit EV (lower lease price) to the Chevrolet Volt (around $5,000 lower) to the Mitsubishi i (a $6,130 drop). Last year, Ford lowered the $39,200 price of the Focus Electric by around $4,000, but that hasn't been enough to get the Ford EV to really compete, saleswise, with other plug-in vehicles on the market. But wait, as they say, there's more. This past weekend, Ford lopped another $6,000 from the price of both the 2014 model year Focus EVs currently on dealer lots as well as the redesigned 2015 models that are now rolling out (they're basically the same car, minus some appearance changes). Ford spokesman Aaron Miller confirmed to AutoblogGreen that the Focus EV will now start at $29,995 and said that reducing the price should make the Blue Oval's only pure EV competitive. "We hope by reducing the price we're giving consumers another reason to consider it," he said. Through the end of September 2014, Ford has sold just 1,534 Focus EVs in the US (the model sold 1,335 in the first nine months of 2013). For comparison's sake, the Nissan Leaf starts at $29,010 and sells around 3,000 units a month in the US. Miller notes that the Focus EV has been selling the best on the West Coast, and is also doing well on the East Coast. After that, he said Atlanta and the Great Lakes area also see decent sales of model's admittedly small pie. We can only assume that offering the EV for under $30,000 will make that pie somewhat bigger.

Weekly Recap: Marchionne's Manifesto again calls for industry consolidation

Sat, May 2 2015

Sergio Marchionne isn't taking no for an answer. Despite public rebuffs from General Motors and Ford, the leader of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles continues to push for consolidation within the auto industry. His latest assertion came Wednesday when he said a combination of FCA with another automaker could net savings of $5 billion or more annually. No, this isn't about selling his company, he claimed, it's about cutting costs. Put simply, the auto industry wastes money, Marchionne said during FCA's earnings conference call. Companies invest billions to develop basic components that all cars use, but many consumers don't care how they work or recognize the differences. "About half of this is really relevant in terms of positioning the car in the marketplace," he said. "The other half, in our view, is stuff which is neither visible to the consumer nor is it relevant to the consumer." In 2014, top automakers spent more than $100 million on product development, FCA estimated. Marchionne said consolidation could save up to $1 billion on powertrains alone, noting that almost every automaker offers four- and six-cylinder engines. Not everyone has to make their own, he contended. "The consumer could not give a flying leap whose engines we are using because they are irrelevant to the buying decision." That's pretty provocative for enthusiasts, but less so for average consumers. Still, there are major differences in power and efficiency ratings, even among similar engines. Skeptics could argue consolidation would also weaken competition and reduce choices for car buyers. Marchionne stressed his presentation, curiously entitled Confessions of a Capital Junkie, wouldn't require closing factories or dealerships. It's not his final "big deal" as CEO, intent to sell FCA, or a way to elevate his company up the automotive food chain. He claims he wants to fundamentally change the industry and its habit for burning cash. "The horrible part about this, and the thing that I find most offensive, is that the capital consumption rate is duplicative," he said. "It doesn't deliver real value to the consumer and it is in its purest form, economic waste."
