Hello,

You are viewing a 1966 Ford F-100 Longbed Stepside 2 wheel drive pickup. This truck was owned by the original owner for approx.40 years in the state of Texas 'till '07. It has had 1 repaint on a 99% rust-free unrepaired body, driver quality paint, done in enamel in its original color. Shows just over 60,000 miles. Powered by the original 352 V-8 which was regasketed, runs smooth with no smoke or noise and holds very good oil pressure. 3 speed manual column shift trans, column is not sloppy and shifts smoothly with no gear noise. Rear axle is a "9 with 3.25 gears also quiet. Steering components and king pins are all tight. The glass is all good with no edge fogging or cracks, mouldings, window felts and runs are also in good original condition. Recent updates include rebuilt carb. starter, alternator, brakes, clutch, heater core and hoses. All lights and gauges operate except alt. gauge, dome light and washer pump. The original spare is still mounted under the bed, the original owners manual with in service date is in the glove box along with the selling dealers license plate frame from Sequin Texas. This is very trust worthy old truck I have driven all over with no problems, it drives and handles very well for a vehicle of its age. If you have any questions please call for a honest discription.

Thanks,

A couple things I forgot to mention... It has a slight exhaust leak at the right manifold only when cold and under accelloration. Rest of exhaust is fine. This is also a radio delete truck from the factory. The dash has not been chopped up to install one. Thanks!

Toyota sells six of 10 of hybrids in California

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

In an apparent shot back at Ford's increasing market share of electrified vehicles and claim that it accepts more Prius trade-ins for its own hybrids than any other car, Toyota has flexed a muscle and played the numbers game to put the Blue Oval in its place.
Leaning on its hybrid market dominance in California, the Japanese automaker stated that six out of 10 hybrids sold in the Golden State are Toyota models. And it keeps coming: Year-to-date through May 2013, Toyota sold five times more hybrids than Ford. One of every two hybrids in California is a Prius model. In addition, Toyota notes that it has sold 1.5 million Prius vehicles in the US, 90-percent of which are still on the road today.

Ford recalling 205k Edge and Lincoln MKX units for possible corrosion

Thu, 30 Oct 2014

After the horrible weather last winter, it's hard to look forward for the season to return this year. For those readers in much of the country, the snow is going to be flying soon, and with it comes salt on the roads. That means Ford's regional recall for the 2007-2008 Edge and Lincoln MKX arrives at the perfect time because they are at risk for corrosion.
The campaign covers 204,448 examples of the models in 21 states, plus the District of Columbia and some provinces of Canada. In total there are 186,024 vehicles in need of repair in the US and 18,424 in Canada.
According to Ford, it's possible for the area, "under the reinforcement brackets where the fuel tank is mounted" to corrode. If this happens, there might be a gas smell in the vehicle or even a fuel leak could develop. In fact, the automaker reports that one fire could be related to the problem but no injuries or accidents are reported.

Surprise! More Ford and Lincoln cars found with marijuana

Thu, Jul 27 2017

Ford is starting to have a serious problem on its hands. Today, ABC 7 in Detroit reported that another batch of Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ cars were found packed with 227 pounds of marijuana. This is a little over a week after Fords in Ohio were found stuffed with marijuana and only about two months after Fords in Minnesota were found full of weed. All of the cars traveled on train from Mexico to their destination. All in, several thousand pounds and several million dollars worth of marijuana has been discovered. According to the report, Immigration and Customs Enforcement found the cars at the Ford Rail Distribution Facility in Woodhaven, Michigan, just south of Ford's world headquarters in Dearborn. ICE became involved after a Ford employee reported the cars to Woodhaven police. It's unclear when and where the cars were packed with marijuana. With the cars in Minnesota, it's believed that the weed was added after leaving the factory but before being loaded on the train. Spare tires were removed and the space was used to smuggle the marijuana. Related Video:
