1965 Ford F100 Truck
She ain't perfect
BUT
She Cranks Easy!
She Runs Good & Strong!
She Rides Smooth!
&
That 352 V8 Engine Sounds SWEEEEEEET!!!!
I fixed the truck up to be a daily driver but it has the potential to be easily restored or made into a Hot Rod!
I'm selling it because I have another "daily driver" now
& I want something else old, to fix up, that can go & play in the Alabama Mud!!
I have the trucks original Operator's Manuel!
The original "Ford Truck Owner Identification" Card!!
& The 1965 Pre-Delivery Service Sheet!
The writing on the inside of the "Operator's Manuel" says the Truck was purchased from
Ralph Collins Ford - Albertville, Alabama.
I purchased the truck in Alabama & I live in Alabama,
so it is likely this truck has been southern owned & in Alabama its whole life!
The Truck is covered in its original chrome.
Best I can tell only two piece of chrome need work.
The tail gate latch handle mounting plate is rusted &
the Chrome piece for the center of the steering wheel is not attached.
(But I do have the Steering Wheel Piece)
- All of the gauges work, Gas, Speed O, Mileage...
- The wipers work & have new blades installed.
- The Tail lights & Brake Lights work.
- One Tail light lens is damaged & will need to be replaced, but the light works fine.
- The Blinkers do not work, the stick is there, but when
- The headlights work on dim & they shine bright enough,
When I purchased the truck it had been neglected for a few years.
It was running but needed some TLC.
- So I Took out the gas tank, cleaned, repaired, repainted & reinstalled it.
- While I had the seat and tank out, I Pulled out the original floor liner, repaired it & re-coated.
- I also Cleaned the cab floor, sprayed it with a rust preventive coating,
- re-painted it & re-installed the original floor liner.
The seat cushion is in good shape but the cover was not.
I covered the foam and stabilized it with tape, so it would be comfortable
but could still be recovered later. I installed a seat cover.
All of its glass in the truck is in good shape.
The windshield has a "road bruise" that is about 1/2 inch *See photo
The windows roll up and down.
The doors will lock but only the drivers door will unlock from the outside.
The doors shut good and tight.
The tail gate opens and closes easy.
The cig. lighter works!! (who can live without a place to charge there cell phone, Right?)
The lighter is not shown in the photos but it is tucked away in the ashtray.
The Ashtray & Glove Box open & close easily.
The original radio is installed but the antenna is not hooked up, so I have not messed with it.
The original sun visors are in good shape.
The truck has its side mirrors and rear view mirrors in place.
The interior light works.
The head liner is missing but the side pieces are installed.
The trim and clips for the headliner are still in place.
The door panel covers are missing but all the trim and clips are still in place.
(Price those trim pieces on Ebay & you'll see what a good thing it is that those are still installed!)
The truck does have some surface rust but I have found no rust holes in need of repair.
My mechanic said the underside looked good as well.
Overall the body is in good shape for its age.
The drivers fender has a clean split at the bottom,
The passenger fender has a small dent.
The tail gate has a dent.
There is a long scratch in the paint on the passenger side bed there are various scratches and flaking paint.
It appears the truck had a DIY paint job at some point.
So look at the photos and you be the judge!
The radius arm bushings were replaced & the truck was fitted with new shocks,
so for a '65 she rides nice, now!
The carb was cleaned, new points installed and the timing adjusted.
The truck cranks up easy and the 352 V8 sounds soooo.... good!
AND
RUNS GREAT!!
This truck has some serious get up & go and is a lot of fun to drive!!
All four tire on the truck are NEW!
They were purchased in June of this year.
The spare tire is not new.
The truck does not have power steering but it steers and handles well for me
& I'm a girl!
The truck is 3 speed on the column.
The truck is geared low and will usually pull a hill without downshifting.
The truck will git up and go in all the forward gears and reverse!
The truck had dual exhaust when I bought it, & I have not had any work done to the exhaust system,
so I can't really tell you anything about it.
I think I have told you all I know about this good old truck, but if you have questions,
please feel free to ask. You can send me a message through Ebay or
call me: Thori Brewer 706-506-2982.
The truck is also for sale locally, so the auction is subject to be ended early.
Please be sure you can complete the purchase before bidding. I have given a detailed description of the truck & provided photos, & offered to try to answer any question you may have.
The truck is not perfect but it cranks, runs & drives, so the only reason for a refund of your deposit & not completing the sale will be if, for some unforseen reason, the truck will not crank or pull its self out of my driveway when you come to pick it up. This Truck is not being sold subject to a test drive. It is a 48 year old un-restored truck you are made aware it is still in need of work.
The winning bidder will need to make a cleared $500.00 deposit through PayPal with in 24 hours of the close of the auction. The balance will need to be paid in cash (the green stuff, no checks) & the truck picked up with in 7 days from the time the auction closes. The truck can not be picked up, if the paypal deposit is not yet cleared.
If the truck has not been picked up within 7 days the deposit will be retained and the truck re-offered for sale.
Call me to make pick up arrangements or email me your contact information.

Porsche 911 tops a list of must-have classics, but No. 2 is more of a surprise
Wed, Aug 9 2023No surprise here: In Europe, the Porsche 911 is the most sought-after classic car. Surprise here: Slip-streaming the 911 in the most sought-after chart compiled by the Car & Classic marketplace is the Ford Mustang. Using the Google search engine as a means to pick the winners, as well as the average prices achieved on the “Car and Classic” website, the venerable 911 was tagged 1.45 million times per month according to data stretching back 15 years. The number of 911Â’s sold though the C&C marketplace was 21,141, at an average price of 58,409 pounds, or $74,300. FordÂ’s pony car, still a popular choice for buyers in Europe, placed second on the list with 1.2 million monthly searches. The average sales price over 15 years was 31,107 pounds ($39,570), and the number of older Mustangs sold reached a total of 8,332. Models that also finished among the charted top 10 include the Land Rover Range Rover, the Corvette, the ultra-classic British favorite Jaguar E-Type and the BMW 3 Series. “Whilst a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS could set you back the best part of GBP500,000 ($636,000), there are many more affordable models, which bring the average sale price of a 911 on Car & Classic to GBP58,000 ($73,800) – the third highest average selling price of any make and model on the site,” explained Dale Vinten of Car & Classic. According to the site, the Jaguar fetched the highest average selling price: a whopping 89,000 pounds, or $113,000. But thatÂ’s peanuts compared to a Series 1 Roadster in excellent condition, said Vinten. For that, “you can expect to spend up to GBP250,000 ($318,000), A Series 2 or 3 will cost less, as they are not as desirable, but in decent condition you can expect to pay around GBP40,000-GBP50,000. Even a barn find 1969 E-Type Series 2 Roadster can set you back to the tune of GBP33,000 ($42,000)." Launched in 2005, Car & Classic is among EuropeÂ’s most popular classic car clearinghouses. It also runs a stand-alone auction site.
Mulally wanted to kill Lincoln as late as last year, Fields vows to turn it around
Mon, 30 Jun 2014Lincoln fans might want to give incoming Ford CEO Mark Fields a pat on the back for having a hand in saving the brand from the chopping block last year. He's among the people spearheading the rejuvenation of the division away from its stodgy image to appeal to younger customers.
According to two unnamed sources speaking to Bloomberg, CEO Alan Mulally was ready to kill Lincoln last year. Following the slow production ramp-up of the MKZ combined a with a costly ad campaign, Mulally was frustrated and openly suggested dropping the brand. However, Fields and Jim Farley, Ford's marketing boss, convinced the CEO that the brand was worth saving. They also created a plan to prevent similar problems for new models in the future.
It seems that one part of the strategy may involve waiting until new models are at dealers before starting a big ad campaign for them. Lincoln global director, Matt VanDyke, recently told Autoblog that the division is holding off on a full marketing push behind the new MKC crossover to prevent the supply problems that plagued the MKZ last year. Its big offensive begins in the fall when the CUVs are at all of the dealers and consumers are at home watching more TV. VanDyke also told Bloomberg that Fields, Farley and Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of the Americas, have more direct oversight over new product launches now.
Ford rethinking vehicle launch strategy
Tue, 07 May 2013With a new boss at the helm, Ford is looking at new ways to improve its vehicle launches in North America to prevent recent issues that have popped up with models like the Lincoln MKZ, Ford Escape and Ford Fusion. Speaking with Automotive News, Ford's new president of the Americas, Joe Hinrichs, revealed a few ways the automaker plans to avoid early build issues such as the engine fires on certain 2013 Escape and Fusion models and months-long delays for customers to receive their MKZs.
It sounds like the root of the problems may have been Ford's relationship with suppliers compounded by the fact that the product surge came on the heels of the recent industry-crippling recession, and in the AN article, Hinrichs says improvements are being made to reduce problems during the launch of new or redesigned models. Three such improvements that were implemented during the first quarter of this year including more rigorous quality comparisons, better use of computer technology to catch major problems sooner and hiring engineers to work closer with suppliers.
