Offered to you in this auction by Rusty Nuts Originals is a wicked cool 63 Uni Rat Rod truck. This truck has tons of character and always steals the show! This is not your little sisters truck, its covered in rust and satin cleared original paint. It was a former electrical service truck out of Melbourne Florida with 49k original miles. It has a perfect running inline original 6 cylinder and a 3 speed on the column transmission. It runs like a top and drives like a straight axle Cadillac. Both front and rear axles have been flipped lowering the truck about 3 inches. It also has period steelies and Coker wide whitewalls that are roughly 85% and a rough cut lumber bed floor. Its not the fastest thing in the world but it runs great and drives just as good, no sloppy steering and no wondering all over the road. It has a recovered factory seat with liscense plate head liner. All the guages, turn signals, headlights, cab lights and heat all work properly. It also has completely new brakes on all 4 corners, come drive it home! It needs absolutely nothing but a new owner! As it sits, $4500 will buy it but I also have a couple of drivetrain options that we'd be willing to build for the right customer at the right price. At $6500, I will install a SBF 351W and FMX automatic transmission, that deal would drive it home, complete with the 351 and auto trans, new exhaust and new drive shaft. If you're interested in that option or have something else in mind or just have questions on the truck, you can contact the shop at 864 387 6887 or 864 449 8421 after 6pm EST or shoot us a direct email at andy@rustynutsoriginals.com. You can also check us out on the web at the website following andy@...... or find us on Facebook by searching Rusty Nuts Originals or clicking the link at the bottom of our webpage. We also have an everchanging inventory including other hot rods and rat rods and vintage Harley Davidsons ranging from Flathead and Knuckleheads to Panheads and Shovelheads, please contact us with any interest! As with all of our auctions, this truck is for sale locally and we reserve the right to end the auction at any time should the truck sale locally before the closing of the auction. This truck is sold with a clear SC title. Shipping is entirely the responsibility of the winning bidder. |

Autoblog's June 2019 Editors' Picks
Wed, Jul 10 2019Each year we review, test and rate hundreds of brand-new cars, trucks and SUVs. We rate these vehicles using the Autoblog score, giving a select few our Editors’ Pick. Here are the best cars we drove in June 2019. 2019 BMW 8 Series Everyone on the Autoblog staff loves a good grand tourer, so we were excited to get behind the wheel of the revived BMW 8 Series, specifically an M850i Coupe. A good GT needs to be as fast as it is stylish and comfortable, and the new 8 Series delivers. We particularly like the 523-horsepower twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8Â’s copious power and smooth ride quality, even on MichiganÂ’s pockmarked post-winter roads. We dig the interior design, too, though not everyone was in love with the exterior. ItÂ’s not the best-handling car in its class, and doesnÂ’t hide its sizable proportions very well, but itÂ’s still worth a look if youÂ’re looking for a big, fast cruiser. 2019 Ford Expedition Crossovers may be the hottest vehicles on the market, but thereÂ’s still a sizable demand for traditional body-on-frame SUVs like the Ford Expedition. These behemoths offer plenty of space in addition to truck-like capability. We like the Expedition's smooth ride, powerful twin-turbo V6 and sharp exterior design, though the interior can feel a bit cheap, especially on some of the more expensive trims. Adding options quickly puts it into Lincoln Navigator territory, and itÂ’s hard to recommend the Ford over the Lincoln when the latter packs the same capability into a far nicer package. Still, the Expedition is as good or better than the competition in most respects, and thatÂ’s why itÂ’s one of our picks. 2019 Toyota 86 Few cars at any price point are as much fun as the Toyota 86 (and its twin, the Subaru BRZ). We like the 86Â’s balanced chassis and sharp steering, and while itÂ’s not as nimble as its close rival the Mazda MX-5 Miata, the ToyotaÂ’s back seat and trunk make it a more usable vehicle. But while we like the 86Â’s driving position, the rest of the interior feels cheap and dated, especially the infotainment system. We complained about the anemic powertrain back in 2012, and itÂ’s only gotten worse as the years have gone by.
FL man fatally shot after urging driver not to do donuts in a Mustang
Tue, 18 Nov 2014Bradley Holt (pictured), the older half-brother of University of South Florida freshman quarterback Quinton Flowers, was killed in a random act of violence last week.
The 24-year-old Holt was throwing a football around with local kids in Allapattah, a neighborhood in Miami, when a yellow Mustang showed up and started doing donuts in the street. Holt, worried about kids playing in front his apartment complex, walked over to the driver and asked him why he was "driving so crazy with so many kids out here?"
The driver left. Holt's sister said the driver came back "about 15 to 20 minutes later" and fired two shots at Holt. One of them hit Holt in the back of the head, killing him.
Ford acquires Livio to bolster connectivity biz
Thu, 26 Sep 2013Ford Motor Company has announced the acquisition of Livio, a Ferndale, MI-based software development company best known for aftermarket in-car connectivity devices, but also as a supplier of technology for proprietary systems for automakers. Livio, co-founded by Sigal and Massimo Baldini, will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Global Technologies.
"With the additional expertise Livio provides us, Ford intends to continue to lead the next generation of in-car connectivity with technology advancements that give consumers more options to access their devices on the go," said Paul Mascarenas, chief technical officer and vice president, Ford Research and Innovation, in a statement.
Ford is clearly trying to beef up its in-house tech capability around telematics and device connectivity. While the Blue Oval has been a leader in these areas with SYNC and MyFord Touch in terms of getting the systems into as many cars as possible, the execution of the applications have been criticized for glitches.
