1960 Ford F100 Short Bed 292 Y Block V8, Automatic Transmission.
This truck is in very nice condition condsidering its age. This is one of those trucks that has never been messed with and never been restored, but survived. The 292 Y Block engine runs, but will need a tune up, the transmission works, but slips, will need to be rebuil or maybe the bands just need to be adjusted. This truck was a daily driver 1 year ago according to the previous owner. One small ding in the front right fender as seen and the tailgate could some work, but still works. Has sheetmetal cancer rust at both lower corners in the cab as seen and a little cancer rust in the passanger door (the pictures of the rust are extreme close ups and not that bad). The body is very straight The floors are solid and the bed looks good. This is a truck that can be driven as is with the mechanical issues repaired as stated above or can be worth over 25K if restored. Truck has surface rust as seen in the pictures. At Least one tire does not hold air. Both door glass has cracks, but the windshield and rear glass look nice. Basically this is a rare shortbed that is an outstanding candidate for restoration and is a complete truck. Has a 2 barrel holley carb. The battery will be removed, i use it for my other car and it will need a wire from the coil to the distributer, im using the one from the same car. The original color was yellow, but now its white and flaking off, so a lot of the yellow is showing.Brakes are firm. This is an old truck that needs a lot of work to look great, so if you need a picture of a certain spot, let me know and i will provide it, if you want to call me to discuss it, please do. My Name is Tom and my number is 925-321-7643. This truck is sold AS IS as all of these old truck are. For you RAT ROD Guys, they dont get better than this one. Have clear title (Non-Op) Registered in California through 8/31/2013. This is NOT a salvage title truck. Wont last long at this price. Treat this truck as a non-runner for now, again the engine does turn over, but i just dont want people to think there gonna hop in this truck and drive it.
This is truely just a great solid truck. 5K would make this truck worth 15K. The numbers definately pencil out on this one. I only buy and sell trucks that make sense for me and whoever buys them from me.

2015 Ford F-150 configurator is ready to go to work
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Ford is inching towards the on-sale date for the eagerly anticipated, aluminum F-150 pickup. While we're preparing to drive the new truck (expect our take on it sooner rather than later), the best-seller has reached another, albeit more minor, milestone as its online configurator has officially been switched on.
We took to Ford's consumer website to mess about with it and see just how ridiculous of a truck we can build. Among the fun things we discovered were these two nuggets - the most expensive truck we could configure was not the top-end Platinum model, but instead the King Ranch, which rang up at $65,955. The other exciting discovery? The new truck would be available in a questionable shade called Blue Jeans (shown above with the optional contrasting Caribou paint). Yep, Blue Jeans.
You can head over to Ford's consumer page and build your very own aluminum F-150 now. Take a look.
Ford and Chrysler reducing summer plant shutdowns
Wed, 22 May 2013Most domestic automaker assembly plants traditionally take a couple of weeks off during the summer. The shutdowns give each plant time for much needed repairs and maintenance, and in some cases, help better align production with demand. Not this year, though, as demand for many models is outstripping what Ford, Chrysler and General Motors plants can produce.
Ford has announced that it will shorten its annual summer shutdown for most North American plants from two weeks to one. The shorter shutdown will increase the carmaker's annual North American production by 40,000 units on top of the 200,000 extra units that it was already planning to produce this year versus last. Automotive News reports that Ford produced 2.8 million vehicles on this continent in 2012, and that output this year has already increased 13 percent through April.
Chrysler, meanwhile, is also operating at full tilt and plans to run some plants through the summer with no shutdown at all. Those not getting a break include Jefferson North where the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango are assembled, Toledo North that will assemble the new Cherokee, and Conner Avenue, home of SRT Viper production. Other assembly plants will be down for a single week, while all of Chrysler's engine and transmission plants except one in Indiana will continue operating with no shutdown this summer.
2015 Ford Mustang specs revealed, GT to pack 435 HP
Thu, 17 Jul 2014The 2015 Ford Mustang sounds great so far - at least on paper. Ford has just announced specs for the latest version of the iconic pony car in Dearborn, telling Autoblog that it will pump out as much as 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque from its 5.0-liter V8.
Those gaudy figures power the naturally aspirated GT model, and they easily eclipse the "more than" 420 hp and 390 lb-ft that Ford originally estimated.
The 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder makes 310 hp and 320 lb-ft, and it's the first turbo Mustang since the 1986 SVO.
