One nice solid 1959 Ford F-100 pick up truck. The truck is a 1/2 ton short wheelbase with the fleetside bed,the overall condition is very nice driver condition it is not show perfect but above average driver quality. The body is very nice the truck was painted once I think in the late seventies or early eighties, the paint is in nice condition but it does have some chips and scratches and some spots where the paint is thin where it has been polished, there also are some spots where the paint has been touched up. I don`t see any rust issues in the body other than a little spot on the bottom inside below the hinge on the passenger door. There are some spots on the body where you can see the body filler cracking, all this is minor and cannot be seen unless right on the area. The tailgate does have some damage where it has broke and been rewelded, also it has a some dents in it along the center section. The inside of the bed is nice with minimal wear and tear.It does have snaps attached to the bed side where it had a tonneau cover at one time. The grille and bumpers are all nice. The rubber around the windows does show its age.The wheels are not the stock wheels and are 15 inch with newer BF Goodrich Silvertons wide whitewall tires. The engine and transmission are both all stock with the exception of the engine exhaust crossover pipe has been remove and dual exhust installed,it also has the Petronix conversion done to the stock distributor. The engine runs good with no real issues it could use a good tune-up and possibly a carb overhaul to make it really purr. The trans is the factory granny low 4 speed trans it works good with no issues, the rest of the drivertrain as far as I know is in good shape.I have put quite of trouble free miles on the truck and it drives stops and rides nice for an old truck. It has no power steering or brakes. The inside is nice as well it has what appears to be a factory headliner that covers the floor and the sides of the rear window. The seat and floor mat are both nice as well the I/P lights wipers all work. The truck also has a vintage Dixco tach with vintage Stewart warner temp and oil pressure gauges. The truck would make a nice driver for the entry level Classic car person,A nice period 1960`s hot rod base to start with or a nice solid piece to do the frame off restoration. Please ask any questions and it is avaliable for personal inspection or test drive if you are local. I will require a 500.00 deposit within 48 hours and payment in full at pick-up. The truck is licensed and road worthy but it is not a comfortable long journey ride.I have the California title in hand.So if you are looking for a nice ride for next summer here it is !!!!

Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names
Tue, Mar 17 2015Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.
2015 Ford F-150 specs revealed, EcoBoost 2.7L to make 325 hp and 375 lb-ft [w/video]
Tue, 22 Jul 2014Our new man Greg Migliore is in attendance at a Ford media event at the Blue Oval's Dearborn, MI headquarters today, and he's reported in with a handful of the 2015 F-150 stats that we've been dying to know. Ford is slow-playing the news release here, but we can still offer up some interesting output and performance figures after half-year of waiting.
We have all be quite aware that Ford's shift to aluminum construction would save a lot of weight for F-150 models, and the results we're hearing now are duly impressive. For instance: in Super Crew trim, a 2015 F-150 is a whopping 732-pounds lighter than was its closest 2014-model-year equivalent. That's like hauling three middle-aged dudes to your bowling alley's league night for free. Polish your balls, guys.
Ford isn't willing to offer up any actual curb weights just yet, but if we take that 732-pound loss and extrapolate with the 5,128-pound curb weight of the 2014 F-150 Super Crew with the 3.7-liter V6, we can guesstimate that 2015 models will measure out in the 4,400-pound range. That's impressive.

In terms of new car debuts, this is a really big one - not unlike all of the Corvette madness that kicked off the 2013 automotive season. So to make sure you haven't missed anything, here's a wrap-up of everything you need to know about the 2015 Ford Mustang.
