This is a 1956 Ford Truck Custom Cab Big Window. This is a Project Truck! No Motor or Trans!. I will do my best to describe the truck. I picked the truck up and work that's been done on it was done by previous owner so I can only tell u what I see. Truck is put together with some bolts missing since the guy I got it from was in the process of restoring it and loss interest again this is a Project and is ready for transport but will need restoration!!

Body: This is a all Original Truck, Body is Straight and has already had some work done to it. The cab is good other than the rear cab corners have some filler on them. (I guess that's the way he repaired then). The Dash and Roof are good no Rust and Very Nice Dash, no extra holes has Fresh air heater that works I tested it. Wiper motor (works I tested it) and other parts go with it (please see pics) all parts for interior seem to be in tact. Fenders and bed are in good condition and straight. Hood does need a little straighten towards rear of it, nothing bad. The Doors both are in need of repair Both Lower parts are Rusted out, I will include a Good Pass Door with only surface rust NO Rust through! I don't have a driver one. When I got it, it had no Steering column or Box.  Over all Nice Start to Complete an Original BW Truck!!!

Frame: This is as Original as its gets Nice Straight uncut Frame with all brakes in tact, comes with Original Spare Tire Bracket, This is as good as it gets for a Clean Original Frame. Check the Fire Wall out Very Nice not cut up and Nice inner fenders not cut up!!

Wheels on rear are Wheel Vintique  and are wider than stocks which is on the front, Tire are no good just rollers. I put a piece of Ply wood in bed just to load parts if need, Tail gate is good not perfect but straight and original.

Over all this really is a Great BW Truck! You wont be chasing parts for it since most all seem to be there. I do have rear Glass that goes with it. and I will include an Original Stock seat, It is Just Bare Frame but does have tracks.

This is what a 3D-printed liquid metal Ford Torino looks like

Sat, 12 Oct 2013

Artist Ioan Florea has encapsulated a 1971 Ford Torino with 3-D-printed liquid metal transferred onto the car using technology that he developed, and the result is a stunningly shiny, seamless design.
"The surface has the highest coefficient of reflectivity never achieved before," Florea told us in an e-mail, using "nano-materials and nano-pigments that create an internal three-dimensional structure and dictate the polymer how to behave." Sure... We'll leave it to him to make any more 3-D-printed liquid metal-transferred art pieces.
Florea grew up in Romania, and the motivation behind picking the old Ford as his canvas came from his childhood memories of what an American car is - "big and wide and fascinating," he says - and the European name of the car itself, which it shares with an Italian city.

Autocar pits Formula Ford against Germany's finest

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Ford has quite the racing pedigree, but usually, its racers are relegated to the track. Not the new Formula Ford EcoBoost, though. It's a turbocharged, open-wheeled racer complete with a 200-horsepower, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine... and it's legal on the roads of the UK.
That's stressed in this video from Autocar, with the mag going so far as to show the car's tax disc and license plates. Being a road-legal offering, it's tempting to see just how well an open-wheeler that delivers racecar-like performance while also netting over 100 miles per gallon (assume this is on the British cycle, for obvious reasons) stacks up against modern performance cars.
Autocar lined up the Formula Ford against an Audi R8 V10, a BMW M6 Gran Coupe and a Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG in a number of situations to see which would come out on top. Take a look below for the full video.

National Geographic Channel balances Ford F-150 on four coffee mugs

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

Proving that there is still something to be learned on television these days, National Geographic Channel recently introduced a new series called Duck Quacks Don't Echo. On the first episode of this science/comedy show, host Michael Ian Black proposes the idea that a truck can be supported with a ceramic coffee mug under each wheel - yes, he says that the entire weight of a truck can be balanced on just four coffee mugs.
Looking to find out whether this is fact or myth, the show uses a regular cab Ford F-150, weighing in at 4,800 pounds, and four average coffee mugs. Lowered onto the mugs, the idea is quickly put to the test. Can the cups hold up under 4,800 pounds? If so, what, exactly, would it take to break them? Scroll down below to find out.
