1956 Ford F-100
Short-bed Truck

Up for sale is a stunning Ford pickup truck.  1956 is the best year of all the trucks.  This truck is really fun to drive and gets tons of looks.  It sports an awesome sounding Y block with headers and 4 speed transmission.  I just had it painted  BMW Vermillion Red.  The entire truck was disassembled for paint.  Doors, fenders, truck box, hood etc.  It wasn't a cheap paint job.  The paint was even wet sanded and buffed.  The paint is near perfect.  You will not be disappointed and for the price, it's a steal and will bring miles of smiles.  So here is what was done.

  • Engine was checked out by my mechanic and serviced
  • Engine detailed
  • New dual exhaust installed
  • All lights work
  • New radial whitewall tires
  • 7" new rims with caps and rings
  • New custom paint
  • New chrome handles
  • New chrome mirrors
  • New chrome tail-lights and marker lights
  • Custom wood bed and stainless beds trips
  • Updated upholstery and new carpet
  • New headliner and sun visors
  • New glovebox
  • Firewall pad replaced

The truck does not have a heater.  They are pretty easy to find and install.  Not much need for them in AZ.  If you want one installed, let me know, maybe we can work that in for you.  And the wipers may need a new motor.  I just haven't inspected that detail all the way through.  It may just be a loose wire.  Other than that, this truck is in pretty good shape.  And you will not be disappointed.  Please call me if you have any questions.  I have tried to be as detailed as possible.  The truck has a clean title.  Again, call with any questions.  Jason-480-619-835three.

Although this trucks runs great, it's a 1956 classic truck.  If you don't live here in the Phoenix metro area, then I would consider shipping it.  Don't jump in to a classic truck and drive it across the country.  I also do not extend or intend to imply that there is any warranty.  The truck is purchased AS-IS.  If you have concerns, please pay to have someone come inspect the truck for you.  If you have a (0) experience, please contact me before bidding to qualify yourself.  Good luck and bid with confidence.

Ford of Europe celebrates Mondeo's 20th anniversary

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Ford's European operations are celebrating a milestone of sorts as the Mondeo, the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter D-segment sedan in the old country, celebrates its 20th anniversary. The mid-sizer, which was sold in the US for a short time as the Contour, has been a far more popular vehicle in Europe - even receiving regular praise from one Jeremy Clarkson.
Narrated by Cockney actor Ray Winstone, the video goes through the Mondeo's years and how it's evolved from 1993 to the as-yet-unreleased fifth-generation model, which is essentially the same as the Ford Fusion that's sold in America. Take a look below for the full video from Ford of Europe.

2015 Ford F-150 appearance guide takes the truck from mild to wild with options

Thu, 31 Jul 2014

We already know that the 2015 Ford F-150 has a base price coming in at just $395 more than the 2014 model, despite all of the new standard tech and aluminum-intensive construction in the upcoming version. Now the Blue Oval is finally giving us an idea of what that extra money actually buys customers, with the release of the appearance guide for its latest pickup.
The guide basically explains everything you could want to know about what changes occur among the multitude of trims on the 2015 F-150. There are five levels for the new truck. Although, that is something of a misnomer because most of them are also available with either Sport or Chrome packages, plus the FX4 Off-Road option with Hill Descent Control, an electronic-locking rear axle, off-road shocks and skid plates. With 13 available colors, including 4 new ones, and 14 wheel designs in various sizes, pickup buyers should have no problem specing one to fit their style.
The lineup starts out with the base XL with a black grille and fascia and 17-inch wheels. However, across most of the range the Sport and Chrome packages are also available to add either body-color or chrome accents, respectively. Next up is the XLT with a standard chrome grille but also available with a black, billet-style one with a body-color surround. Things really start getting plush with the Lariat model with leather trim, a three-bar front end and 18-inch wheels. The King Ranch sticks with that look but adds power running boards, 20-inch wheels and two-tone paint. Finally, the top-dog Platinum is all about bling with yet another frontal design, chrome door handles and mirror caps, a big logo running across the tailgate and more.

Has the 2015 Ford Mustang gained hundreds of pounds?

Sun, 01 Jun 2014

Automakers face competing interests when it comes to developing a new generation of vehicle. On the one hand, companies want to build their cars to be safer and better handling, with more equipment and maybe even larger dimensions over the model it's replacing. On the other hand, they strive to keep weight down to the benefit of both performance and fuel consumption. Usually something has to give, and in the case of the new 2015 Ford Mustang, those efforts may have resulted in a weight penalty of two or three hundred pounds.
This according to Blue Oval modifier Steeda Autosports, which states that "the 2015 Mustang ended up gaining 200-300 pounds in this remake". Despite the Mustang not being on the market yet, it would appear the leading Ford aftermarketer has been given early access to the 2015 model to help jumpstart its tuning efforts (a rather common development among trusted tuners). If Steeda's assertion is accurate, that would make the challenge of getting the new pony car up to speed for both Ford and aftermarket customizers like Steeda that much greater.
We're waiting for official word from Ford on the veracity of Steeda's claim, but if true, it's bound to be a bit of disappointing news for legions of Blue Oval performance enthusiasts. Watch this space for more.
