I have for sale my 1953 f100 short bed project truck. Its an extremely solid and straight truck! I painted the frame with ppg single stage with hardner chassis black. I sanded all the body panels and primed the fenders, hood and cab of the truck and blocked it. There's no rust at all on the truck. the roughest part of the truck is the bed there's some small dings here and there on the bed of it. I painted the truck twilight black metallic from hot rod flatz. the interior and the grille of the truck is two toned with diamont platinum grey metallic base and diamont clear. the inner fender panels, the floor pan inside and out have been undercoated along with underside of hood. im selling as a rolling chassis. the bed i've put brand new braces and bolts stained and cleared both sides of plywood board, brand new factory style tailgate. I have brand new bed extensions front and rear that have not been put on the truck but will go with it. all parts were bought through mid fifties ford company. ive got brand new black carpet that goes with the truck as well. Its got brand new set of vision legend 18x9.5 wheels with a set of Dunlop tires. the wheels are 5x5 bolt pattern because that's the only style of rim I could find that was an 18 inch so its got 4 wheel billet adapters. Ive got a rack and pinion I'Il send with the truck as well. I have the factory radiator that goes with the truck as well. 4 brand new wheel cylinders go with the truck. ive got the drivers side window but all the glass and both wing windows is needing replaced. only reason im selling this truck is because ive got to many projects and don't have the time to finish this one. this truck is all factory stuff except for wheels tailgate and the bed rails. Everything for the truck ive got is all pictured. This truck is a project still. Its just a rolling chassis no motor or transmission. I had planned on putting a fuel injected sbc with overdrive trans but like I said just have way to many projects going on at once and have to let this one go. The truck will go with a bill of sale only. ive got a lot more pics and can get more just let me know what you would like to see.If you have any questions feel free to contact me at 6205211447. Thanks Nate

Ford and GM link bonus checks to quality scores
Tue, 29 Apr 2014The poor first quarter earnings of Ford and General Motors are having an effect all the way up the food chain. Both automakers struggled with recalls in the first three months of the year, and, according to The Detroit News, they have responded by increasing the percentage of bonuses tied to vehicle quality for salaried workers, including top executives.
GM announced that 25 percent of bonuses (up from 10 percent) for all salaried workers would be tied to its vehicle quality standards. The automaker revealed in its financial report that it spent $1.3 billion on recall-related repairs in the first quarter, and net income was down 86 percent.
Ford also increased the quality proportion of bonuses for about 26,000 salaried workers all the way up to CEO Alan Mulally from 10 percent to 20 percent. The company announced in its report that the amount paid out in warranty and recall claims was about $400 million higher than expected in the first quarter. Its net income fell 39 percent from the previous year. "The change reflects how critical quality is to our overall business," said spokesperson Todd Nissen speaking to Autoblog.
And the Top Gear UK Cars of the Year for 2013 are...
Tue, 17 Dec 2013Those loony Brits at Top Gear have named their Car of the Year, and if you're thinking it's the McLaren P1, Jaguar F-Type, Land Rover Range Rover Sport or Rolls-Royce Wraith, we're sorry to inform you that none of those Anglo automobiles earned the crown. In fact, the winner of Top Gear's most prestigious award is quite the surprise.
Of course, those cars weren't without their own awards. The P1 was the top hypercar (sorry, Porsche 918 and Ferrari LaFerrari), while the F-Type netted best convertible and the Range Rover Sport was voted SUV of the Year. Other honorable mentions included the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black and S-Class, the Porsche 911 GT3, the BMW i3 and the Ferrari 458 Speciale. The winner, though, wasn't even a high-dollar supercar. It was the Ford Fiesta ST.
Yes, the Fiesta ST beat out some off-the-wall cars like the revolutionary Volkswagen XL1 and the bonkers Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak, not to mention all the cars we listed above, to take the title of Top Gear Car of the Year. And if you've driven one, you'll completely understand why.
Europe's most-wanted classic car is... the Ford Mustang?
Sat, 28 Sep 2013Over the span of its 49 years and five generations, the Ford Mustang has held a special place in the hearts of automotive enthusiasts in the US, but, as it turns out, this car is also very popular amongst European car lovers. Earlier this summer, AutoScout24 - a new and used car shopping site in Europe - polled around 75,000 European "car lovers" (not sure how they vetted the respondents) to see which cars were the most popular, and the Mustang came out on top over iconic European classics like the BMW M1 and Volkswagen Beetle.
In the whole of Europe, 37 percent of those polled dream of owning a Mustang, but that number jumps in individual countries like Austria (42 percent) and Spain (41 percent). Rounding out the top five popular classics in Europe are the Mini and Citroën 2CV. Find out which cars made up the rest of the top 10 in the press release posted below.
