PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!! Every effort has been made to give a very accurate description of this truck. It is a very good restorable 1951 F1 half ton pickup with a 1948 - 1950 front clip. It does not currently run because the old original wiring harness was removed and new harness never installed as planned from previous owner. Has a 1969 Ford 200 cubic inch six cylinder engine from Mustang and automatic transmission from Mustang as well with Ford style automatic shifter on floor. No title. Bill of sale only!!
Cab: Very good cab overall with no rust in floor boards or cab corners. A square hole was cut into floor for some unkown reason years ago. Roof panel and back cab panel are good with minor repair in its past history. Both doors are excellent with no rust in bottom of doors and only minimal damage to doors. Windows are in both doors. Inside window cranks and door levers are intack. Dash has been cut to accomodate late style radio. Original heater. Original seat and fuel tank. Original steering wheel, horn button and column. Original dash instruments. Left running board is good but right running board needs replaced. All glass is intact.
Box: Overall a very good restorable box with good tailgate, front gate and side panels that are far above average for trucks this old. Both rear fenders have some rust, but are straight and workable fenders. Tailgate has a few holes drilled in it but is a very good tailgate otherwise. Wood and bed strips need replaced.
Front clip: As pictures show there is body filler in both fenders. As a rule that usually means rust in these areas. However the body filler is NOT due to rust. Years ago body men used slider pull hammers to pull dents out via drilling small holes into damaged area and then used the slider hammer to pull dents outward and reshape the dent back to original. Then body filler was applied over the drilled holes and damaged area. When looking up inside the front fenders you see old body filler coming through the drilled holes, but no evidence of rust repair ever in the fenders. The only rust is the usual surface rust, but the front fenders are workable.
The grill is in good to average condition with some damage but repairable. Hood is good with minimal damage and hood moldings are missing along with front bumper.

2014 Ford Fiesta gets fuel economy bump to 41 mpg
Fri, 07 Jun 2013The 2014 Ford Fiesta is in showrooms now with refreshed styling and new performance ST model, but it's what isn't yet available that should help the Fiesta stand out from the growing crowd of subcompacts. Aside from the new 1.0-liter EcoBoost model coming later this year, Ford recently told us that a new Fiesta SFE trim level is on the way that should put the updated Fiesta at the top of its class for fuel economy.
The new Fiesta SFE will hit an estimated 41 miles per gallon on the highway when equipped with the six-speed automatic transmission. The current listing on fueleconomy.gov shows the 2014 Fiesta getting up to 29 mpg city and 39 highway, but the SFE will get minor aero tuning and a recalibrated engine controller to help bump the highway figure past rivals like the Chevrolet Sonic and Nissan Versa - both of which top out at 40-mpg highway. There's still no word as to when the small 1.0-liter EcoBoost will show in the US, but Ford has indicated that engine's fuel economy isn't expected to be released until October.
Ford says 70% of its models to get stop-start by 2017
Sun, 15 Dec 2013Ford is following up on a report we posted a few weeks back that the Blue Oval would be adding stop-start technology to its entire model range. Now, the Dearborn-based automaker has announced that the fuel-saving feature would be available on 70 percent of the company's range by 2017.
Ford claims the technology will improve fuel economy by around 3.5 percent, although its actual effect will vary based on how the owner drives - apparently up to a 10-percent improvement is possible for those who sit in heavy traffic (Los Angelenos, this means you). The latest recipient of the technology is the updated 2014 Ford Fiesta with the company's three-cylinder EcoBoost powerplant.
Part of the reasoning for the new addition has to do with cost. Ford claims the tech is affordable and easy to implement. "Simply put, Auto Start-Stop helps customers use less fuel, which is an important component of Ford's Blueprint for Sustainability," Ford's global powertrain vice president, Bob Fascetti, said.
Ford open to diesel, hybrid or electric Mustang? [w/poll]
Sun, 08 Dec 2013The Ford Mustang may not be the first vehicle that comes to mind when you think of environmentally-friendly forms of transportation. The arrival of the turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the new Mustang could do a lot to combat that perception, but the EcoBoost engine may just be the tip of the iceberg in that regard.
Speaking with Ford powertrain boss Bob Fascetti at the reveal of the new Mustang in Australia, GoAuto reports that the Blue Oval automaker is considering offering its latest pony car with a diesel, hybrid or even electric powertrain in the future.
"We're not looking at diesel at the moment, but given where we need to go with fuel consumption we are looking at all our options," said Fascetti. Other options could include a nine- or ten-speed automatic transmission to replace the current six-speed unit in order to help improve fuel economy and emissions for the Mustang, although figures for the current lineup have yet to be revealed.
