You are looking at a very clean and well maintained 2004 ford explorer limited awd with a 4.6L V8. The exterior is white Tri-coat metallic with black leather interior. Window vent visors, bug shield and sunroof deflector all painted to match. Tinted windows, manga flow exhaust, optima red top battery, brand new tires and brakes on all four corners, weathertech floor mats and cargo liner, factory pioneer premium sound system and tow/haul package. Has a power sunroof and every available option from factory other than navigation and third row seat. I am the second owner of this vehicle and purchased it with 19,000 miles, mainly all highway miles from traveling for work. Always scheduled maintenance from ford dealer and meticulously maintained. Truck looks almost brand new except for a little wear on drivers seat and some very small paint chips from highway driving. The only thing I've had to replace on this truck was the fuel pump about 1000 miles ago, other than that just regular maintenance. The truck does not drive or look it has 145000 miles on it. I have never had any problems with this vehicle and I'm only selling it because I purchased a new f250. As is no warranty and it is for sale locally so I have the right to end auction at any time. If you need it shipped I will assist with loading.

Ford, Samsung shack up to bring regen braking to non-hybrid models [w/video]
Mon, 09 Jun 2014Ford must be desperate to get itself ready for the beach this summer because it is really trying to get into shape. Shortly after unveiling the Lightweight Concept that cut the weight of a Fusion down to that of a Fiesta, it's now the rest of the line's turn for improvement. The company is wrapping up a 10-year research project aimed at developing next-gen automotive batteries to improve efficiency.
Ford claims that 70 percent of its lineup will have stop/start tech by 2017. The key to this massive proliferation is its new dual-battery system that combines a lithium-ion battery with a lead-acid one and regenerative braking. The setup works by harvesting braking energy and converting it to electricity. When the vehicle stops, the engine shuts off, but the Li-ion battery has enough juice to keep the accessories running. The engine starts up again as drivers take their foot off the brake. The layout would mean less wasted gas while idling. It's already available on Ford hybrids and is somewhat similar to the i-Eloop capacitor-based system from Mazda.
The bigger challenge is tuning the regenerative braking right. While hybrid drivers may be a little more adventurous, when it comes to getting a hang of regen braking, conventional buyers might not be so open-minded. The systems have a tendency to be a little grabby at first and then taper off at very low speeds. Ford needs to make sure it's just right to avoid turning off buyers.
Driving the Lincoln Aviator and flogging Abarths at Laguna Seca | Autoblog Podcast #593
Fri, Aug 30 2019In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by West Coast Editor James Riswick and Associate Editor Joel Stocksdale. To begin, Greg takes a moment to remember the fastest woman on four wheels and former host of Autoblog's "The List," Jessi Combs, who died this week. Then our editors turn their attention to the cars they've been driving, including the Lincoln Aviator, Ford Ranger and Nissan Frontier, as well as Joel's recent stint in the Fiat 500 Abarth and Fiat 124 Spider Abarth, including track time at Laguna Seca. Finally, they turn their attention to a listener in Germany who is looking to replace an aging Volkswagen Eos with a newer convertible in this week's "Spend My Money" segment. Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has a bit of a dyno issue
Tue, 28 May 2013We're of the mind that each and every dyno should come with Murphy's Law painted in big, visible letters down the side. For every ten successful dyno runs out there, it seems there's one where events to horribly wrong. Take, for example, the video below. The clip shows what happens when a Ford Shelby GT500 and a mobile dyno have a bit of a disagreement at the Performance Expo 24 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. We won't spoil the results for you, but we will say there's some substantial carnage involved.
It's unclear just how much damage ensues from the dust up or whether anyone was harmed in the incident, but from the looks of things, everyone made it out without serious injury. If only we could say the same for the machines involved. Check out the video below.
