1999 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Clean Title No Reserve on 2040-cars

This is my mother-in-law's 1999 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4 X 4. The title is clean and in my name but I have only had the vehicle for a short time and am selling it for her. The Ford runs great and the 4 X 4 works, transmission shifts smooth with no issues, vehicle needs tires and is currently running on the spare in the rear (see photos). I have not inspected the brakes but $2,000.00 was put into it in 2012 for emission repairs. Exterior is clean with minor wear and tear and minor damage to front bumper on driver's side. Interior is clean but has a few mechanical issues. Leather seats are in good condition. Driver's power seat works good, passenger seat does not move backwards (switch issue?). Power windows all work. Power door locks work except passenger door lock is intermittent. AM/FM stereo with CD - display does not work, but the radio works (just have to scan to find your favorite station). A/C blows cool only on AUTOMATIC setting. All other settings blow warm air. Not sure what's going on here but seems like hot air damper may be stuck? A/C may need some work. Power mirrors work.
This is a clean SUV but not perfect. I am selling at a low starting price and there is no reserve. There is plenty of "meat on the bone" for a re-seller, or a good inexpensive daily driver for you or your kid. The vehicle has airbags and has never been wrecked. Please let me know if you have any questions. Buyer will need to make all pick-up or shipping arrangements. I will get the vehicle to a location in East Sacramento County or central El Dorado County for pick-up, within reason. |

2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium
Mon, 28 Oct 2013You might not be interested in owning a subcompact (B-segment) hatchback for $20,000. Let's be clear from the get go here: there are any number of reasonable arguments for staying away from the highest-content versions of these small cars. Ford's player in the B-segment arena is the newly updated 2014 Fiesta, and the Titanium trim represents the most luxurious instantiation of the model. We recently were loaned a Fiesta Titanium for a week, whose final sticker price hit $20,390, with navigation being the only standalone option added to the bottom line. By way of comparison, the most basic version of the all new, one-segment-up Mazda3 hatchback costs $19,740 with delivery and destination accounted for, and no options added on.

Ford picks Fiesta ST, Transit Connect as this year's SEMA darlings
Sat, 02 Feb 2013SEMA is more than nine months away, but the reveille bugle for the show has just sounded with Ford's call to aftermarket companies for its project-vehicle program. The 2014 Ford Fiesta ST and 2014 Transit Connect van and wagon are the cars The Blue Oval wants to feature, but applicants can submit project vehicles for any product except the GT500, the Raptor, or anything from Lincoln.
Submissions must be completed in two parts, the first being an email to Ford with an overview of the project, like vehicle theme, promotional plan and location display. The second part must be mailed in on company letterhead and gets down to the nuts and bolts of the vision and the provision of company bona fides. The complete proposal is due on March 1, winners will be notified by May 1. Ford Claims Focus As World's Best-Selling Car For Second Year In A Row
Mon, Jan 27 2014Ford Motor Co. has claimed its Focus sedan beat out the Toyota Corolla for the title of 'best-selling car in the world' for the second year in a row. The declaration was based on independent sales figures from January to September of 2013, according to USA Today. Last year, Ford used data from the analysis firm Polk to support its claim of having the best-selling car of 2012. Toyota objected, stating the Corolla sold more units. The numbers eventually showed that the Ford Focus was the best selling nameplate of the year, but may have been second to the Toyota sedan overall since multiple variations of the Corolla are sold under different nameplates around the world. Data from the analysis firm R.L. Polk found Focus registrations from January through September 2013 reached 856,587. Ford can thank booming car sales in China, where the automaker sold 303,481 units, for a sizable chunk of that number, which was a 16 percent increase over 2012. "Our success with Focus is the result of Ford's connection to our customers all over the world," said Jim Farley, an executive vice president at Ford. The Focus and Corolla both compete in the popular small sedan segment, along with other hot-selling cars like the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra and Chevrolet Cruze. These vehicles make a up a large portion of sales for their respective automakers, as they tend to hit a sweet spot for many consumers, coming with a starting sticker price under $20,000, solid fuel economy, plenty of cargo and passenger room and, lately, sharp exterior design and sportier driving dynamics.
