It has a new battery, and new tires. leather seats make it perfect for the beach, easy to clean, and in great shape. The Air conditioner works great. Sun roof, and powered windows. As well as powered seats. There is a big back for groceries, surf equipment, ect. Right front headlight a little loose, but doesn't cause any problems.Might need to change the Right windshield wiper soon due to all the rain, but nothing too serious. No other vehicle problems. Starts great, runs great, drives great! Only selling because I am leaving the island. Car still looks good outside and in. For it's age, it looks amazing. Great car that has never had any serious issues. Comes with jumper cables, although I've never had to use them."

It is a ford explorer. 1995. 4 door. It is silver/blue. It has been a great car. Seats 5-6 comfortably. It does pretty well on gas mileage, and is a great beach car. I loved it because it has a big hatchback for lots of groceries and things like that. The seats also fold down to make the back bigger. It has a sunroof, radio, and great air conditioning. It has rear air conditioning as well. It has dual powered seats. Has a 6 disk cd-changer as well. It also has powered windows. I am selling it because I am leaving from BYU Hawaii. The car has been great and hasn't had any problems. It has 3 brand new tires on and a brand new battery so it is running as good as ever. Also comes with jumper cables although I've never had to use them with the new battery. I don't have pictures yet but will post them, or email them if anyone is interested in pictures. i am asking 4,500 OBO. I am a student at BYU-H but can deliver the car anywhere in Oahu. The mileage is 100K+ but has not had an effect on how well it drives for me. You can contact me at katkin5@go.byuh.edu or call or text me at 801-372-6893. No scams please, I am really trying to sell this car. Only contact me if truly interested on buying the ford explorer.

2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility shows up for duty in Chicago

Fri, Feb 13 2015

The latest upgrade for the 2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility is all set to patrol the Windy City's streets with its debut at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. On the outside, the revised Ford police vehicle looks basically the same as the recently refreshed Explorer with a new grille and redesigned headlights. Inside, there's a restyled steering wheel and center console. Unlike the civilian model, though, the PI Utility gets heavy-duty brakes, a more robust cooling system, reinforced subframe mounts and larger diameter suspension springs for more strength. Under the hood, police forces get to choose between either a 3.7-liter V6 with 304 horsepower and 279 pound-feet of torque or a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of twist. Regardless of powertrain, these 'utes feature a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The transmission includes the awesome-sounding Pursuit Mode feature that switches over to more aggressive shifts when it detects harder driving to properly stop crime. Related Video:

Ford dealers offered discounts on tools to fix aluminum

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

With the introduction of the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 (and the likely use of aluminum in future Ford products), Ford is looking to help its dealerships reduce costs related to repairing this more labor-intensive material. Automotive News is reporting that Ford dealers with body shops will require an estimated $30,000 to $50,000 in equipment and training to work on aluminum, and to help alleviate the financial burden of the new F-150, Ford has announced a special 20-percent discount on this equipment.
Dealers will be able to save up to $10,000 on tools such as welders, air-filtration systems and rivet guns and to create aluminum-specific work stations. The new F-150 goes on sale in the fourth quarter, and dealers have until October 31 to take advantage of this deal, according to the report.

Martini Mustang is a 'what if moment' gone right

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Feast your eyes on a masterpiece. This is Steve Strope's Ford Mustang in the classic fastback bodystyle, and as you'll notice, it sports the signature colors of Martini Racing, a livery that's as legendary as any Gulf Racing-styled car. But the red, white and blues of the Martini stripe down this Mustang's middle tell only a very small part of the story, in the latest video from Petrolicious.
What would you guess is under the hood? A 289-cubic-inch V8? Maybe a 302, or some absurd Ford crate engine? Maybe Strope went all Tokyo Drift - he's actually responsible for the "Hammer" Plymouth Satellite driven by Vin Diesel at the end of the movie - and found an RB26DETT to drop into the pony car? You'd be wrong on all counts.
This mad, mad man somehow finagled a Ford-Lotus engine from a 1966 Indianapolis 500 car into the Mustang's engine bay. Yes, a Mustang with an engine designed for a 160-mile-per-hour, open-wheel racecar. That's like someone in 40 years dropping McLaren's 2.4-liter V8 from the MP4-28 into a Scion FR-S. It'd just make a monster.
