Advertising:

Incredible condition. Runs like a champ. Plenty of torque. 138XXX miles (very low for year) Recent plugs and wires replacement. Replaced IAC. Transmission shifts are tight like trans is new, ZERO slip. Fluid is new. Plus B&M shift kit(not installed yet) Cherry red paint, original with fresh clay bar and wax. Has defects but still in great condition! Interior is a 9/10 due to some random holes, and groves in roof fabric. The rest is in fantastic shape, no cracks in leather or plastic. Driver side tint has damage but easy fix yourself or I can refer you to my tint guy for a very reasonably priced fix. Driver window sticks sometimes but if purchase price is enough, i'll fix it. Tires are in good shape. Front could use replacing within the next 3 or 4 oil changes. Running boards included if wanted. Lowered the front about an inch to level the explorer. Rides really well. Shocks are in great condition. Oil changes regularly since purchase from an older couple in Laguna Woods. Will pass smog with flying colors and clear title in my name, current tags. Any questions please ask. Price somewhat negotiable.  NO LOWBALL OFFERS! Thank you for looking. I reserve right to end auction whenever, vehicle for sale locally.

Ford owns Automotive Loyalty Awards, Audi and Subaru are king of conquests

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

Customers are a commodity in the automotive industry, and like any other commodity, automakers trade them back and forth. Only nobody wants to give up their customers - just to keep the ones they have and try to attract others.
That's what the Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards are all about. Every year the industry research body names the automakers, brands and models that manage to keep their customers coming back for more - and attract buyers to switch from other makes. Ford usually does pretty well, but this year it rose above even its own track record.
Not only did Dearborn win the Overall Loyalty to Manufacturer award, but also the Overall Loyalty to Make. Ford also took the African American category, and the F-150 was named the top full-size half-ton pickup in customer loyalty. Ford COO Mark Fields (pictured above) accepted the awards and gave the keynote address at the awards ceremony.

2015 Ford F-150 configurator is ready to go to work

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

Ford is inching towards the on-sale date for the eagerly anticipated, aluminum F-150 pickup. While we're preparing to drive the new truck (expect our take on it sooner rather than later), the best-seller has reached another, albeit more minor, milestone as its online configurator has officially been switched on.
We took to Ford's consumer website to mess about with it and see just how ridiculous of a truck we can build. Among the fun things we discovered were these two nuggets - the most expensive truck we could configure was not the top-end Platinum model, but instead the King Ranch, which rang up at $65,955. The other exciting discovery? The new truck would be available in a questionable shade called Blue Jeans (shown above with the optional contrasting Caribou paint). Yep, Blue Jeans.
You can head over to Ford's consumer page and build your very own aluminum F-150 now. Take a look.

Ford reveals Fiesta ST race car, points at road ahead for bigger things in Global RallyCross

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

The 2014 Ford Fiesta ST doesn't go on sale until this summer, but fans of Global RallyCross will be able to catch the car in action before then. Announced ahead of the Chicago Auto Show, the Fiesta ST will be the car run by Ford GRC teams this season, and the model on display in Chicago will be the racecar built by Swedish tuner OlsbergsMSE driven by Tanner Foust and Brian Deegan. Ken Block and his newly renamed Hoonigan Racing Division will also be competing in the Fiesta ST.
The 2013 GRC season has not been announced yet, but the venues will also include the summer X Games events in Brazil, Spain, Germany and, of course, Los Angeles. Ford announced that it will be the sole automotive sponsor of this year's summer X Games, and it will be looking to bring home a gold medal this year after Block placed silver last year.
In other Ken Block- and Ford-related news, another Chicago debut will be a tuned Focus ST called the TrackSTer project. Built in cooperation with Block, Ford and automotive tuner fifteen52, the TrackSTer will get plenty of styling, performance and handling upgrades. Some of the add-ons include a performance exhaust and short-throw shifter from Ford Racing, a rebuilt engine, upgraded components such as the limited-slip differential, intercooler, engine controller and clutch as well as upgraded brakes.
