2001 Ford Explorer Sport located in Wytheville VA 24382, can be viewed/driven/inspected anytime.

Clear title. I recently paid off my loan, finance company(Mid Atlantic Finance) is mailing me title on Tuesday April 1st.

Automatic, V6, 4wd, power windows, AC, CD player, cruise control, Hankook tires with atleast 50% tread remaining.

In last 6 months I have put in new battery, new fuel pump, new front rotors, new brake pads all the way around, new front sway bars.

As of today it has 187,969 miles which will change. Most of these are highway miles as I travel weekly for my job.

Check engine is currently on. This has gone on and off for months. Mechanic told me it was a sensor, do not remember exact one. Does not effect vehicle in anyway.

Four wheel high works great, did great this winter in snow. Four wheel low does not work. Not sure the issue as I never would use it anyway.

The driver seat recline handle is broken, I have still have not replaced or repaired.

On the steering wheel it has the cruise control buttons, some of the plastic over the button is broke/missing. Does not effect the function of cruise, it works fine.

Very few rust spots, they are mainly on the running boards.

This vehicle runs great, I would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. I recently made new vehicle purchase so this one has to go.

Ford to hack $4k off price of Focus EV amid slow sales

Wed, 10 Jul 2013

Between slow sales and a hefty price drop for its nearest rival, the Ford Focus Electric may be looking at a pretty substantial price cut. The Detroit News is reporting that Ford will drop the price of the all-electric by about $4,000 to $35,200 to be more competitive with the Nissan Leaf, which received a big price cut for 2013 down to $28,800.
Ford has already admitted to having low expectations for the car's sales and massive rebates were reported earlier in the year, but there is still no official word from Ford on this matter. The company's consumer site still lists the 2014 model's starting price as $39,200. In addition to the Leaf, the Focus Electric will also have to deal with the lower prices of smaller EVs including the Honda Fit EV, Fiat 500e and the Chevrolet Spark EV.

Old vs. new debate gets new life with $25,000 Fiesta ST vs. E46 M3 showdown

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

You know who you are. There's probably a few of you reading; the ones that say, "Why would I spend $27,000 on a new Mazda MX-5 when I could get a used Chevrolet Corvette with more power." Yes, we're talking to you, used car proponents. While it is a fair argument, it's not like used cars don't come with drawbacks of their own, though.
In an attempt to put this new-versus-used argument to bed once and for all, Matt Farah of the The Smoking Tire has picked up a pair of $25,000 cars - a used, but lightly modified, 2003 BMW M3 and a 2013 Ford Fiesta ST. Naturally, there's a comparison.
Farah, as he's wont to do, does get into the nitty gritty of what each car is like to drive, and discusses the merits of used and new-car shopping. But as he rightly points out while testing the M3, "So, it is a good car. But like any used car, it really does depend on the individual car."

Detroit 3 small cars lay an egg in latest Consumer Reports reliability study

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

Consumer Reports has released its Annual Auto Reliability Survey and the results are, in a word, interesting. While we already covered the score-damaging effects of infotainment systems, there's another big angle to the data that's getting some attention - the utterly dismal scores of the Detroit Three's small car offerings.
The turbocharged Dodge Dart and Chevrolet Cruze, as well as the Ford Fiesta were their respective brands' lowest-scoring models, a stat that's made worse by the fact that the American automakers finished 25th, 21st and 23rd, respectively.
That's not acceptable for The Detroit Free Press' auto critic, Mark Phelan, who has penned a scathing critique of the D3's small car reliability scores, arguing that GM, Ford and Chrysler are "out of excuses."
