2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Xlt Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l on 2040-cars
Wilmington, Delaware, United States
Auctioning my 2002 Ford Explorer XLT. VIN 1FMZU73K32UD02133. It has 139,055 miles on the odometer. I've owned it for several years and have had NO problems with it. I am selling this Explorer because I recently purchased a large travel trailer and I needed a larger, stronger, and heavier tow vehicle than the Explorer could provide. It has silver paint and gray cloth interior. The interior is in good condition with no rips or stains. Is has nylon Cabalas front and back seat covers. The exterior is in fair to good condition. The vehicle looks great but it has a very slight abrasion on the left/rear fender (about 10 inches long), it has light rust on the right/rear passenger-side door jam, and it has a small but deep ding above the rear glass. These 3 issues are shown in the attached photos. Otherwise, this vehicle is in great mechanical condition. Everything, EVERTHING works fine. The engine is a 4 Liter V-6. Runs quiet and smooth. No leaks or oil smoke. Brakes work fine. Entire exhaust system is sound and quiet. Tires all match and have about a year of life left on them. Air conditioner works fine. The 4 wheel drive works fine. It has a small (factory installed) trailer hitch and I had an electric brake system installed on it so I could tow a trailer that has electric brakes. Bottom line is that there is nothing that does not work on this vehicle. This vehicle is titled and registered in Delaware. Tagged until September, 2014.

You can now order Domino's pizza from your Sync-equipped Ford
Tue, 07 Jan 2014
The news keeps pouring in from the Consumer Electronics Show now underway in Las Vegas, and the latest comes from Ford which has announced two new apps for its Sync AppLink system.
First up is a cooperative app launched by Ford together with Domino's Pizza that lets drivers of the former order pizza from the latter right from their car. The service allows those with Ford Sync AppLink in their car or truck and are registered with a Domino's Pizza Profile to place an order for their favorite pie using Dearborn's voice-recognition software for either pickup or delivery. Save your information in your Pizza Profile and it'll be sent to your house without even the push of a button, which strikes us as awesome a use of technology as we've ever seen.
Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang appears at EAA Oshkosh
Sat, 26 Jul 2014Ford is back at the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture air show in Oshkosh, WI, on July 31 auctioning off its seventh Mustang for charity, and this is one seriously mean looking 2015 'Stang. All of the money from the sale goes to give free introductory flights to young people to get them interested in aviation.
We recently saw this latest EAA Mustang as a sketch. However, it looks a whole lot more menacing in person. Dubbed the Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang, it takes liberal inspiration from Lockheed Martin's latest fighter jet, and the customization makes the pony car look ready for a role in Top Gun.
On the outside, the special Mustang wears titanium-color paint that's offset by a black and yellow stripe running from hood to rear. Out back things get really wild with a mix of bright yellow and black that flows diagonally all the way to the rear spoiler. The design is based on the livery of early production F-35s. If the rousing color scheme isn't enough to get you interested, the car also gets a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, lowered suspension and a set of custom 21-inch wheels with yellow brake calipers.
J Mays' legacy
Fri, 15 Nov 2013
Mays is by far not the first designer to use heritage design cues in his work.
The announcement that J Mays will be leaving his chief creative officer role at Ford Motor Company on January 1 ends a 13-year run in one of the industry's top design roles. While best known for having a hand in reborn classics like the Volkswagen New Beetle, Ford Mustang and Thunderbird (above), Mays' legacy is more complicated and nuanced than being considered the father of what is known as "retrofuturism".
