2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, V6, 155,000 Miles
I've had this truck since it had 2,801 miles on it. The truck was wrecked and rebuilt at 2800 miles. It now has 155,000 Miles. The head needs work, two cylinders are tore up, and the overdrive light flashes. The truck is hit on the drivers side back door and quarter panel, but i have driven it without any problems since it was hit (2 YEARS AGO). The window on the back drivers side door does not go down due to the door damage. Oil and filter has been changed every 3,000 miles and the original tires are back on it, with less than 10,000 miles on the tires. Will listen to offers, local pickup only (Corbin, KY) and cash only. Truck has aftermarket tail lights, grille and door handles, bug reflector. It is 4 wheel drive has works great, since a new driveshaft was put in, in February 2014. The console is broke on top, but i have an extra one that the buyer can have and get installed. The CD player is an original 6 disc cd player(but the cds wont eject or play, had fixed before and tore up again, easy fix) But the radio works perfectly. Tan Cloth seats. The truck does not have cruise control. The title is a KY title and is a rebuilt title. The back window in the truck, behind the back seat will roll down as well. The inside has been kept clean (washed truck and inside every two weeks) No tears on seats. The truck does come with remote starting (great for winter time or summer time) and is also wired up for an XM radio. As of today, June 6th 2014, it has 155,188 miles. I drove it for 10 miles today around town. The truck vibrates when it is sitting in a stop position (from the cylinders and head) New as of January 2014 New Driveshaft for 4 wheel drive New Water Pump New Alternator New wheel bearing hub assembly on front driver side. New Plugs New Battery New tail light bulbs Any questions, feel free to ask. USA BUYERS ONLY!! There is no warranty on the truck and the truck is being sold as is to a buyer. Please message me if you have an offer |

Martin Smith retires, Joel Piaskowski in as Ford Europe design chief
Thu, 29 May 2014The mind behind the look of much of the modern Ford global range is retiring. Martin Smith, Head of Ford Design in Europe, will give up his position on July 1 and will leave the company altogether at the end of the year. He will be replaced by current Strategic Concepts Group leader Joel Piaskowski (pictured above).
Smith has led Ford of Europe design for the past 10 years, and he was partially responsible for the brand's Kinetic Design language with a large grille and swept-back headlights found on the Focus, Fiesta and C-Max, as well as several other vehicles abroad. After stepping down on July 1 until his retirement at the end of 2014, Smith will work on a project to decide the future direction of the company's look with Moray Callum, its vice president of design.
Piaskowski already has some impressive credentials in terms of automotive design as well. He joined Ford in 2010 as director of exterior design and led the teams responsible for the 2015 Ford Mustang and next-generation F-150. He was also previously design director at Ford Asia Pacific. Before working at the Blue Oval, Piaskowski held positions at Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and General Motors. Scroll down to read the complete announcement of this changing of the guard.
Ford Fiesta ST in startling track battle against Toyota GT86
Wed, 26 Jun 2013On the surface, there's very little that the Ford Fiesta ST and Toyota GT86 (or the Scion FR-S that is sold in the US, or the largely similar Subaru BRZ) share in common. One is a hatchback with power coming from a turbocharged engine routed to the front wheels. The other is a coupe with power coming from a naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine routed to the rear wheels.
Thing is, both of them are reasonably priced performance cars aimed at a similar segment of the automotive marketplace, so a comparison isn't out of the question. It is with all of this in mind that we direct you to the video below, in which the blokes from Evo pit the two manic little machines against one another on a race track. The result? Well, it can be summed up this way: Fast versus fun.
See how the track battle goes down in the video below.
Ford defends plan to shareholders: ‘We're simply reinventing the American car’
Fri, May 11 2018Ford's top executives took heat from shareholders over their plan to do away with sedans as we know them in Ford's North American lineup, as the company held its annual meeting Thursday. Critics said the plan to shelve the Fiesta, Focus and Taurus, reduce the Focus to one crossover model, and concentrate on high-margin trucks and SUVs was a shortsighted abandonment of entire market segments of affordable vehicles. "This doesn't mean we intend to lose those customers," Ford CEO Jim Hackett said. "We want to give them what they're telling us they really want. We're simply reinventing the American car." Ford has said SUVs/crossovers and pickups will constitute 90 percent of its North American lineup by 2020. And though only the Mustang and new Focus Active will remain, it plans to add new vehicles going forward that offer better fuel economy and utility, including EVs and hybrids. Hackett characterized the shift not as an abandonment of traditional cars but as a transformation of them. "We don't want anyone to think we're leaving anything," Hackett said. "We're just moving to a modern version. This is an exciting new generation of vehicles coming from Ford." It was Hackett's first annual meeting as CEO, and for the second year it was conducted online rather than in person. The change to Ford's lineup is part of Hackett's overall plan to cut $25.2 billion in costs by the year 2022. Executive Chairman Bill Ford Jr. blamed the negative reaction to the lineup plan on media coverage. "I wish the coverage had been a little different," he said. "If you got beyond the headline, you'll see we're adding to our product lineup and by 2020 we'll have the freshest showroom in the industry. The headlines look like Ford's retreating. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth." While Ford was clear about its plans for the Blue Oval, it has been less clear about the Lincoln brand. Hackett on Thursday said only that the Lincoln Continental, re-introduced just two years ago, would continue "through its life cycle" — but it has been such a slow seller that rumor has Ford killing the Continental again after that, and Hackett made no mention of a new generation. Presumably the MKZ sedan will go away when its twin the Ford Fusion does, but although Ford has outlined end dates for other models, the Fusion's departure is open-ended. The stock price has been a frustration for investors for years and has fallen 12 percent since the first of the year.
