***adrenalin Edition*** Sunroof Heated Leather Hard Cover Pioneer Cd V6 4x4 on 2040-cars
Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States
2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac "Adrenalin" edition with ONLY 78### thousand miles. Power everything including power sunroof and power rear sliding window. It also has heated leather seats and is a 4x4 set up for towing. It has running boards and is a flex fuel 4.0 liter V6. It also features a Pioneer 6 Disc/ MP3 stereo system with amp behind the driver side back seat (part of the upgraded Adrenalin package). It has a built in compass and outside temperature display too. NADA/ KBB value = $12,750. Vehicle is in "good" condition according to KBB. There is NO Rust and there are NO leaks underneath. The 'good condition' rating is due to mostly cosmetic stuff. There was a rain guard over the back window that came off. There is some fading on some of the outside hard black plastic. The lock on the hard cover over the bed is busted however it still locks and the tailgate locks too. The clear coat is peeling on both rear taillights only. There are 2 cracks in the storage box between the 2 front seats and the "unlock" button on the drivers side door to unlock all the doors does not work however the lock function and the rest of the buttons (windows etc.) work fine. The interior is in very good condition for its age and so is the exterior. There are no dents and only a scratch on the tailgate just below the top when a piece of furniture scratched it while hauling it. Tires have 25K-ish on them. Brakes were done just last year. I have never had any issues with this truck and mechanically it runs and drives great. It has been solid since I purchased it with 28K on it. I have cleaned the truck out and have the clear title in hand. It will not be detailed before selling but as you can see it is (overall) a clean truck. Please see all the pictures and check out the Autocheck report included on this listing as it ranks above the recommended range at 77. Thanks, Dealer Trade-In = 10,295 Private Party Sale = 12,750 Dealer Retail = 13,799 *My apologies as I screwed up on the original listing so am listing again* |

Lincoln Aviator could make a comeback
Tue, Jun 9 2015The idea of Lincoln dropping its alphanumeric scheme in favor of real names was welcomed by fans of the marque and even appeared possible after the rousing reception to the Continental concept. Now, rumors suggest that the next of the luxury brand's nameplates to see a possible revival just might be the Aviator. Don't get your hopes up quite yet, though. The Truth About Cars admits that this tip comes from a second-hand source, but the person reports that Lincoln has a project codenamed Aviator as a model based on the Explorer. There's evidence to give the rumor some shaky support, though. Ford already has the trademarks for the name and AV8R. Also, an Explorer-based vehicle in 2019 is included for the brand's predictions in the recent Car Wars forecast. Autoblog reached out to company spokesperson Sam Locricchio, but he would not speculate about future products. The same source claims to The Truth About Cars that the Blue Oval might not replace the Ford Flex or Lincoln MKT when the current generations come to an end. Also, the next-gen Expedition and Navigator could use 10-speed automatics and follow the F-150 to get aluminum bodies, which is also already rumored. Although, all of this should be taken with a big grain of salt until anything more official has arrived. Lincoln spokesperson Stephane Cesareo gave The Truth About Cars no comment on the rumor, but said, "By 2020, we expect to expand the segments that we participate in by adding two new nameplates to the Lincoln brand. We have not provided any indications about the products or their names." Related Video:
Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names
Tue, Mar 17 2015Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
