2002 Ford Expedition 4x4 5.4L Triton V8 with only 41k original miles!!

- 1-Owner accident-free with only 41k original miles and excellent service history. Take a look at the free carfax report provided at the bottom of the auction; perfect service history at the Ford dealer!

- Carfax values this SUV at $1,380 over retail value given its exceptional service and 1-owner history.

- Please take your time. I've included over 100 high-definition pictures of the vehicle. The free Carfax report is at the very end. If you are not seeing it, you may not be seeing some of the other photographs as well; please refresh your browser and allow enough time for all of the pictures to load.

- 5.4L V8 Triton motor runs like a top. This is one of Ford's most reliable engines and with only 41k miles, this one is barely broken in.

- Automatic transmission shifts perfectly and smoothly through all gears.

- 5.4L V8 has lots of power and great reliability; much preferred over the younger brother 4.6L V8.

- 4x4 functions perfectly in high and low gears and will get you through any terrain.

- Mechanically, the SUV is what you would expect for a low mileage, well-serviced Ford; everything works great and the Expedition really rides beautifully.

- Brakes, exhaust and suspension are all excellent.

- No engine warning lights of any kind.

- Cruise-control operates 100%.

- Heat blows hot and A/C is ice-cold!

- RUST-FREE body and the undercarriage looks great. Everything is very solid underneath. As you can see on the Carfax, this vehicle has spent its entirety in Woodbridge, VA. No rust issues that plague northern trucks.

- XLT package including alloy wheels, power seat, power windows, locks, 6-disc changer in center console, rear air controls and digital compass/temp/clock in the upper center console (on the headliner).

- All power options function perfectly.

- Audio sounds great.

- Alloy wheels look great and are wrapped in four matching BFGoodrich All-terrain tires with great tread left. Alloy rims are in great condition and really complete the look of the SUV. No salt corrosion or curb rash.

- Red exterior looks great. With the back windows fully tinted and sitting on clean alloy wheels with the all-terrain tires, the Expedition really looks great in person.

- Exterior paint looks amazing. No dents, scratches or clear coat blemishes. The SUV looks like its been in a garage for the past 10 years.

- Interior is also in great shape. No tears or rips in the seats or carpets. Headliner looks great (one minor crease above driver seat).

- 3RD ROW SEATING. This SUV will seat 7 full-size individuals without feeling over cramped.

- No warning lights of any kind are on.

- If you're looking at this auction, you know how hard these trucks are to find; particularly with such low mileage. This is a truck you keep for a lifetime.

- All original owners' manuals with 2 key-less remotes.

- This is really a rare find: 2002 Ford Expedition XLT 5.4L V8 4x4 with an amazing 41k miles, well-maintained, accident-free and being sold at NO RESERVE!!

- The SUV is completely turnkey.

- There is a $199 Document and Prep fee to allow us to sell at NO RESERVE!!

Ford could post best-ever profits in Q1 2013

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

Analysts are saying that Ford Motor Company may have earned a record $2.7 billion pretax profit in North America during the first quarter of 2013, a number that represents its highest first quarter profit ever. The impressive earnings are further proof that the American automaker is making a solid comeback as the economy begins to recover.
Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan Chase are estimating that Ford's first quarter North American profit may have topped 12 percent. The firm cited the automaker's fresh lineup, but noted that CEO Alan Mulally needs to uphold the pace as the company works to gain ground in the car and utility segments.
Ford's success has been led by increased demand for its F-Series pickup, the best-selling vehicle in the US for 31 years, and by the Fusion sedan that recently recorded its best-ever quarterly sales in the domestic market. Ford is expected to release its first-quarter revenue on Wednesday, of this week.

Ford recalling select Taurus, Explorer and Lincoln MKS models over fuel tanks

Sun, 31 Mar 2013

Ford is recalling certain 2012 Taurus, 2013 Explorer and 2012 Lincoln MKS models over fuel tank concerns. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, vehicles built between July 19, 2011 and March 15, 2012 may have been built with fuel tanks that have a "marginally sealed seam" on the side. Those seams may not provide the strength necessary to protect the tank from rupture during a collision. They may also leak. The recall covers a total of 3,037 vehicles. NHTSA says that leaked fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could easily cause a fire.
Dealers will inspect the tanks and replace them as need be free of charge. Owners can expect to be notified once the campaign begins on or around April 22, 2013. You can read the full NHTSA recall notice below for more information.

Ford F-150 bumps Camry from top of Cars.com American Made Index

Tue, 25 Jun 2013

With July 4th just around the corner, what better time could there be for Cars.com to announce that the Ford F-150 is the Most American car of 2013? This may be especially true since it was the Toyota Camry, a car produced by a company based in Japan, that had held the top spot from 2009 to 2012.
Cars.com compiles its Most American list by considering the amount of parts each vehicle uses that come from America, where it's final assembly takes place and how many units per year are sold. "While the assembly point and domestic parts content of the F-150 didn't change from 2012-2013, vehicle sales are responsible for bumping the F-150 to the top spot," according to Patrick Olsen, Editor-in-Chief of Cars.com.
As far as automakers go (as opposed to individual models), Toyota retains the top spot it held in 2012, with General Motors, Chrysler, Ford and Honda (in that order) rounding out the list. The motivation behind this list each year, according to Olsen, is "to help car shoppers understand that 'American-Made' extends beyond just the Detroit three" and because "a study we conducted in 2012 indicated that 25 percent of shoppers surveyed preferred to buy American."
