I AM SELLING MY BEAUTIFUL 2008 EXPEDITION. THIS TRUCK IS LOADED WITH DUAL FRONT CLIMATE CONTROL, REAR CLIMATE CONTROL, LEATHER SEATS, HEATED AND COOLED SEATS, BACK-UP WARNING SYSTEM, POWER MEMORY DRIVERS SEAT, REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY, KEYLESS KEYPAD ENTRY ETC. THE CHROME FACTORY 20 INCH WHEELS ARE WRAPPED IN GOODYEAR EAGLE LS2 RUN-FLAT TIRES. AND, AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES, THERE IS PLENTY OF LIFE LEFT IN THESE TIRES. THIS TRUCK WAS SOLD AT AN INSURANCE COMPANY AUCTION, AS A RESULT OF HURRICANE SANDY. I FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF WATER IN THIS TRUCK. MOST VEHICLES WERE TOTALLED ON A PHONE CALL, SIGHT UNSEEN AFTER THE STORM. IN THIS CASE I WOULD IMAGINE THE FORMER OWNER JUST NEEDED A NEW TRUCK. IT CAME FROM SOUTH NEW JERSEY. AN AREA ALMOST UNAFFECTED BY THE STORM. THIS TRUCK IS BEING SOLD WITH A NEW YORK REBUILT TITLE. I PAINSTAKENLY WENT THROUGH THIS TRUCK MYSELF. How the Ford Shelby Mustang came to be
Fri, 20 Sep 2013Even as rumors swirl that the next-generation of high-performance Ford Mustang will drop the Shelby name, Ford has released a short video telling how the legend of the Shelby Mustang came to be. In its latest installment of its video series entitled Mustang Countdown, Ford dug up some footage from Carroll Shelby to give a little insight into how this automotive icon was created.
While it's definitely interesting to hear the late legend tell the story in his own words (including numerous references to the 1964 Mustang as a "secretary's car"), it's also pretty funny learning exactly how the Shelby GT350 got its name in the first place - a name allegedly making a comeback as the replacement for the current Shelby GT500. As development work continues on the 2015 Ford Mustang, the Shelby video posted below shows that the automaker is always looking at its past - even as it looks ahead to the future.
Ford books $2.6B pretax quarterly profit
Thu, 24 Jul 2014While its crosstown competitors at General Motors are smarting over a drastic drop in net income to $200 million in the second quarter, Ford has reason to celebrate. The Blue Oval has announced its own Q2 financial results, including a growing net income of $1.3 billion, a $78 million increase over last year. Pretax profits for the company reached $2.6 billion, up $44 million from 2013, but total revenue dropped slightly to $37.4 billion, down from $37.9 billion. Profits per share before one-time charges totaled 40 cents per share, beating Wall Street analysts' expectations of 36 cents a share.
Regionally, the Blue Oval performed strongly, as well. North America posted a record quarterly pre-tax profit of $2.4 billion, a $119 million increase. Europe also showed signs of turn around with its first profit in three years of $14 million after a loss of $306 million in Q2 2013. Ford is actually predicting profitability in the troubled region in 2015. Asia Pacific operations also performed well with $159 million in profits, up $29 million from last year. The only region where the business posted a loss was South America.
According to Automotive News, Ford also announced more precise plans about the changeover to build the aluminum-intensive 2015 F-150. In August, the Dearborn plant will shutdown for eight weeks to retool and its Kansas City plant will do the same next year.
Project Ugly Horse alive and kicking at Road & Track

Project Ugly Horse is still coming along, and Zach has gifted us another update on his unfoxy Fox Body.
Last we saw of the Ugly Horse, Zach was strengthening up the '89 Mustang's chassis as he prepares to stuff the turbocharged, direct-injected EcoBoost engine of a Ford Focus ST under the hood.
