This vehicle has engine problems. The engine knocks and has 0 oil pressure. I was on a trip last August 2012 when the oil pressure dropped to 0 and before I could get pulled over it developed a loud knock. I had it towed to my mother's house (it was closer than my house) and it has been parked ever since. I was going to put a new engine in the vehicle, but honestly, I don't have the time or the tools for such a job. The title is clear and in my name. This vehicle would be a good project for someone with the time, tools, and money. Everything else worked fine when I parked it, to include the transmission, lights, and air conditioner. There is some minor scruffs and dings (see pics) and the cover for the interior light is missing. The CD player doesn't work (never has since I bought it) and the battery is currently dead. The key does not fit into the drivers side door as the previous owner had damaged the lock, but the code entry and key chain remote entry both work (provided the battery is charged). The tires are in decent shape and still have many more miles left on them. I do not have the means or time to tow this vehicle, so the buyer will have to pick it up. The vehicle is located in Union City, TN and I will provide an address and map to the vehicles location (mothers house) to the buyer. I will meet the buyer at the location to help load it (if requested/needed).

PLEASE NOTE: I do not know the current mileage on the vehicle, so I put 180,000 down. The vehicle's battery was dead when I took the pictures, so I couldn't obtain the precise reading. I believe it is close to 180,000, but didn't think it would matter much since it needs a new or rebuilt engine anyway.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

2014 Ford Cobra Jet announced with new colors, parachute mount

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

Ford's drag-strip-ready Mustang Cobra Jet is back for 2014, and it's sporting a few changes to make it even better - both in competition and while sitting still. Rolling off the assembly line ready for duty in the NHRA Stock or Super Stock classes, production of the 2014 Cobra Jet is limited to just 50 units.
Racing upgrades for 2014 include the addition of a new three-speed transmission and a parachute mount, and while these will make the car better in the quarter mile, the Cobra Jet's new colors will make it look better tearing down the track. Buyers can now get their racecars painted up in Gotta Have-It Green or a custom, Cobra Jet-exclusive matte black hue. Ford and Ford Racing have already teamed up to make this an incredible factory drag racer with a full rollcage, massive Hoosier slicks, a race-tuned suspension setup and a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. Now, if only wheelie bars came standard...
Unlike the confusing third-party ordering system announced for the COPO Camaro, all you need to snatch up a 2014 Cobra Jet is $97,990 and good timing (as the cars will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis). Ordering opens up next month with production commencing in July. Check out the press release below.

Xcar celebrates 100-year anniversary with Model T tribute

Fri, Jan 9 2015

Never mind the fact that XCar hasn't been making videos for the last 100 years, the British duo have gone all silent-moving-pictures in order to make their centenary case for the Ford Model T, a car that was already seven years old in 1915. It's not a review, but a mostly sepia-tinged look at the car that started the mass-market adventure by taking that biblical advice to be fruitful and multiply and populate the Earth abundantly. Since it looks like Xcar is celebrating some kind of milestone, we've also included another video below of the first Xcar review we could find, covering the BMW M1, from the much more recent past - circa 2012.
