For sale is my 2000 Ford Limited Edition v10 and 4x4 Excursion . It has around 130k miles and title in hand. I purchased the vehicle about 3 years ago and built it as my demo vehicle for my store. The first thing I did was put a 4 inch Procomp lift, new 35 inch Procomp tires and 17 inch Procomp wheels. My shop stripped the interior and put 200 lbs of Rockford Deadskin ( rockford's dynamat), on the doors and roof of the excursion. We had a custom exhaust with a K&N intake system.
There is over $12000 plus install in the system wich is all Rockford except the alpine headunit. We put 10 - p3 twelves in a wall in the rear. The box is all individuled chambered and fiberglass reinforced. The box weighs over 200 lbs. The front doors have custom fiberglass pods with two pair of Rockford T1 components, The rears have one pair of T1 components in the doors. A pair of the largest Stinger batteries are installed in the rear under the amprack. We also have a power suply in the truck to run the system all day without having to start the truck. In the amprack we have the largest production amps Rockford makes . 2 - T2500s with the digital sync cable to make them 1, 5000 watt rms amp. Above them we have 2 - T1000.4 four channel amps . The whole system is powered with Rockford power cables and top of the line Rockford RCAs. Between the amps and head unit is the Rockford 360.2 equalizer. The 360 is Bluetooth enabled so you can adjust the whole system from a laptop in the front seat. The head unit is a Alpine 404 digital receiver. I preferred this unit for how easy it is to use with ipod, I can upgrade this if you want something with video or navigation for an extra charge.
Extras include H.I.D.s and a Viper remote start alarm. Of course with the Viper it can be upgraded to a gps locater if wanted
With this being my demo vehicle I have kept the miles off of it. In the three years I have owned it I have put less than 5k miles on it so the tires, rims, and lift and system have less than 5 k miles. I have used this Excursion in parades, car shows, and was even kicked out the Nau Skydome for making too much noise ( well not kicked out but not invited back).
Warning This thing can hurt your hearing and should be used responsibly...........
I know it sounds corny but be careful....
The excursion has a little wear on the seats. The paint on the hood looks like the clearcoat is starting to fade and there are a few small dents nothing serious and a few scratches. The 3rd row back seat is missing, I never got it when I bought it.
This thing turns heads, My sales of Rocrkford have tripled since I started demoing the Excursion. Its time to move on i have already started on the next project. More pictures can be seen from my Facebook page (Sounds Good Mobile) In Flagstaff AZ..
The truck runs great and I would have no problem driving it anywhere. It is for sale locally

Social media star Scott Monty leaves Ford
Thu, 22 May 2014It seems weird to think that an automaker could have a social media star, but Ford does. Or at least it did. Scott Monty, its Global Digital Communications Manager, led the company's team for almost six years and forged a reputation as being one of the most talented people in corporate social media. But the guru recently announced that he would be leaving the automaker for an undisclosed job elsewhere.
"I just decided the time was right. I am going to take a little time with my family, and I am going to start on a new adventure pretty soon," said Monty in an interview with AdWeek. He also explained a little about his theory of how companies should use social media. In his opinion, it should be a chance to go beyond standard marketing and build a relationship with people. Businesses need to have a broad focus for its online message, and using just one service isn't enough to be successful.
Under his guidance, Ford expanded its Facebook presence significantly. According to AdWeek, it launched the 2010 Explorer on the popular site. Also, when the company wanted to investigate selling electric models, it initially gauged the public's reaction on Facebook and then advertised them there first. Monty has been a major supporter of Twitter as well to broaden the company's communication with the public.
'Car Wars' says Ford, Honda to pick up share, Fiat-Chrysler ambitions downplayed
Sat, 14 Jun 2014Don't look for a tremendous shifts in automotive market share over the next three years because it might not be coming. That's at least according to the annual Car Wars report by John Murphy, from Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Research.
In the report's analysis of automakers' market share from 2013 to 2017, it predicts only small changes among the major companies. Ford and Honda see the biggest positive effect with an estimated 0.5 percent increase in their shares over the next three years; to 16.2 percent and 10.3 percent respectively. On the flip side, European automakers and Nissan are expected to lose 0.2 percent each to fall to 8.3 percent and 7.8 percent each respectively. The rest of the industry is predicted to hold steady as it is now.
The biggest loser in that prediction might be Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. The report certainly throws a wet blanket on its plan for significant gains in market share. Murphy told The Detroit News that the company's goal was "almost unattainable."
Recharge Wrap-up: Grimsel electric car breaks acceleration world record, electric Ford Raptor ATV debuts
Sun, Nov 16 2014An all-electric version of the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is now available... as an ATV. Made by Caddyshack Golf Cars, it features officially licensed Ford badging borrowed from the super-macho pickup. It has a lifted chassis with leaf springs in the front and rear, hydraulic shocks and off-road tires. Powered by a 48-volt motor, it can do 0-25 mph in 2.9 seconds. Range is an estimated 30 miles - plenty to get you through 18 of the most rugged holes of golf you've ever played. Caddyshack also offers other miniature electric Fords, including a Shelby GT500, Shelby Cobra and 50th Anniversary Mustang. Read more at Green Car Reports. Lexus takes a crack at the BMW i3 in a new video from Funny or Die. In the decidedly anti-EV film, a group of guys drives to Las Vegas for a "dad-chelor party" in a Lexus CT 200h and a BMW i3. The Lexus hybrid makes it to Sin City without any problems, while the BMW's occupants need to make several lengthy stops to charge along the way, missing much of the fun. The video lampoons the inherent range limitations of the EV (the BMW group ends up driving slowly through the desert with no AC or radio to save energy), all in a well produced, if somewhat misguided, short comedy film. Perhaps they should have considered the i3 with a range extender? See the video below, or read more at Green Car Reports. Students from ETH Zurich and Lucerne University have set a new EV acceleration world record. Their "Grimsel" racing car was able to zoom from 0-100 kph (0-62.137 mph) in just 1.785 seconds in less than 30 meters (98.425 feet), crushing the previous record of 2.134 seconds. Even more impressive is that the Grimsel was built by the students themselves, as part of the Formula Student team at the Academic Motorsports Club Zurich. The car weighs just 370 pounds and provides 200 horsepower and 1,202 pound feet of torque from the four hub motors. The Grimsel uses traction control to manage torque for maximum acceleration. See the record acceleration run in the videos below or read more at Gizmag, at Electric Autosport or in the press release from ETH Zurich below. 'grimsel' breaks world record The 'grimsel' electric racing car today broke the previous world record for acceleration in electric cars. The vehicle accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.785 seconds in under 30 metres. The new record was set by students from ETH Zurich and Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, who also designed and built the vehicle.
