Just in time for summer vacation and trips to the lake; I have for sale my 2004 Ford Excursion Limited. You will have plenty of leg room to haul the entire family, those pesky neighbors kids that never seem to stay home, the family pet, AND all of the luggage. With its 3/4 ton suspension and powerful V10 gas engine this baby can "haul" (literally). Plenty of power to haul your boat, trailer, and camper to your getaway destination.

Mechanically this vehicle has been well maintained and needs nothing. Engine starts and run smooth, only has 140,300 miles. Oil has been changed according to manufacture recommendations. Transmission shifts smooth with no shuddering or slipping, transmission temperature gauge built in the dash so you can keep a close eye on all your gages while in tow. Power windows, power locks, all leather with heated captain seats up front and bench 2nd and 3rd row seating. Tires are in great shape with few miles on them. Includes over head luggage racks and trailer tow package.

This vehicle has been very dependable for me and my children. Over the years I have transported numerous children (almost the whole ball team) to and from sporting events, practices and camps. It has ample room for coolers, shoulder pads and helmets in the back. My children are now older and have started driving so my needs have changed. This vehicle will make a nice addition to those who are still growing their family.

Ford invests $682 million in Edge-producing Canadian facility

Sun, 22 Sep 2013

Ford announced that it's investing $682 million in its Oakville assembly plant in Ontario, Canada, to make it a global manufacturing plant, which the automaker also says secures 2,800 jobs there. Including this injection of cash, Ford has invested over $2 billion in Canada in the last decade, starting with nearly $1 billion for Oakville in 2004, and over $570 million for its Essex Engine Plant in 2010.
The move to make Oakville a global manufacturer of Ford vehicles means, "If consumers suddenly shift their buying habits, we can seamlessly change our production mix without having to idle a plant," says Joe Hinrichs, Ford's president of the Americas.
Ford says that the latest investment will help it meet North American demand for the Oakville-produced Edge crossover, which is on track this year to beat 2007's US sales record of 130,000 Edges. The Ford Flex and Lincoln MKX and MKT are also manufactured at the plant.

Toyota sells six of 10 of hybrids in California

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

In an apparent shot back at Ford's increasing market share of electrified vehicles and claim that it accepts more Prius trade-ins for its own hybrids than any other car, Toyota has flexed a muscle and played the numbers game to put the Blue Oval in its place.
Leaning on its hybrid market dominance in California, the Japanese automaker stated that six out of 10 hybrids sold in the Golden State are Toyota models. And it keeps coming: Year-to-date through May 2013, Toyota sold five times more hybrids than Ford. One of every two hybrids in California is a Prius model. In addition, Toyota notes that it has sold 1.5 million Prius vehicles in the US, 90-percent of which are still on the road today.
Want more? We'll let Bill Fay, Toyota's group vice president and general manager of sales lay the smack down:

We spy the Ford Mustang King Cobra early at SEMA

Tue, 04 Nov 2014

As is the case with most auto shows, waiting for the reveal of hot new models is the worst part. So, while our own Drew Phillips has been wandering the halls here in Las Vegas since they unlocked the doors for SEMA 2014, we didn't expect him to come back with any big reveals until later in the day. Until this happened.
Meandering by the Ford stand, Phillips eagle-eyed a trunk lid that caught his attention. Popping out from an otherwise draped 2015 Mustang, the matte black lid clearly has the name King Cobra embossed on the rear.
That name is interesting for a few reasons: to start, Ford hasn't used the Cobra name (without "Jet" attached) since way back in 2004, so a new snake is certainly something to take note of. Second, the King Cobra name dates all the way back to the ill-remembered Mustang II, meaning there is a clear link to Blue Oval history here.
