2004 Ford Excursion Eddie Bauer Sport Utility 4-door 6.0l on 2040-cars
Santa Barbara, California, United States
2004 Ford Excursion/Eddie Bauer with 6.0 Diesel in excellent condition. Have receipts for maintenance, repairs and replacement of parts to maintain a strong and reliable running drivetrain along with having all preventative maintenance performed. Oil is changed every 5k miles with fuel filters being changed every 10k. There are 2 brand new oil filters and 1 set of fuel filters that will be included. Truck has always been garage kept and there has never been even a drop of fluid left on the floor at any time. The complete underside of this truck is as clean and dry as one can imagine. I also have a rarely used car cover, (shown in picture) that is also included along with 2 ea. BF Goodrich "Rugged Trail T/A" replacement tires, also shown in picture that are also included with the truck. Tires are not needed on the vehicle at this time, but when the time comes, only 2 will have to be purchased. Shocks and brakes have been replaced along with adding a "pricey" larger capacity aluminum Mag-Hytec rear end cover. Over a long, sustained driving period, the rear end gear oil can reach very high temps. Adding more capacity can only help in controlling that temp. Transmission fluid and trans. heat sensor were also recently replaced. Also included in the cargo area is a thick factory "Ford" rubber mat to protect the carpet and to help insulate from noise along with easy clean up. Both factory remotes along with all manuals are also included. There are no disappointments with this truck. If you are seriously considering a durable and reliable suv with the torque and longevity of a diesel, this one should be considered! In the past, I have driven through several states with the Excursion and always came away with @ 22 mpg. Not bad for a 7000 lb. vehicle! Just recently had it smog checked to re-register, ( in CA. it's every other year that a smog check must be performed), and it passed with flying colors. I don't think I was there for more than 5 mins. before being told that it passed and I could go, but that has always been the case since CA. implemented the law that requires diesels to be smog checked. Please email me with any questions and I will be happy to answer.

This 93-car Iowa auction is like a Big 3 classic muscle museum
Tue, Aug 27 2019Bill "Coyote" Johnson has been buying cars since high school and has amassed a collection totaling 113 vehicles, according to NBC 6 News. But time has changed his motivations and priorities, and he's decided to auction 93 of those cars, many of which are classic muscle from Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, Plymouth and Pontiac. The megasale will take place Sept. 14, 2019, in Red Oak, Iowa, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. A 1969 Plymouth Road Runner infected Coyote with a love for Detroit muscle when he was just a teenager, and his desire quickly turned into an obsession. He's spent the past 40 years finding, buying and working on a variety of makes and models. Unlike some collectors, Coyote didn't discriminate against certain brands and has rides from each of the Big 3 automakers. Included in the auction are Camaros, Satellites, Super Bees, Chargers, Challengers, Barracudas, Coronets, GTOs, Mustangs, Cutlasses and others. Possibly the most intriguing aspect of the auction is that all of these cars will be sold as-is with no reserve. Many of them will need work, depending on quality standards, but this seems like a golden opportunity to find a classic car without leaving a bank account in shambles. The auctions are open for bidding online now, and the full auction will take place on September 14. Check out the full listings and bid at VanDerBrink Auctions.
Ford announces 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition
Tue, 09 Apr 2013Ford has pulled the wraps off its anticipated 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition model, a new variant of the popular street-legal off-road specialist. In a nutshell, the "special" is all cosmetic - there are no mechanical upgrades to the truck and its 6.2-liter V8 (411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque), Torsen limited-slip differential, beadlock-capable wheels and internal triple-bypass FOX Racing Shox dampers all remain untouched.
The SVT Raptor Special Edition, which adds cosmetic enhancements to the existing Luxury Package, will be offered in Ruby Red Metallic and Tuxedo Black Metallic with box-side graphics. The interior upgrades include Brick Red seat bolsters (with black inserts), cloth honeycomb highlights and a console top finish panel.
As of now, Ford has only release a couple pictures of the Special Edition model. But check back later, as we will update the gallery when additional high-res images are released later today, and be sure to peruse the press release below for all the details.
First retail 2015 Ford Mustang headed to Barrett-Jackson
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Want to be the very first person to own a 2015 Ford Mustang GT? Here's what you'll need to do: be in Scottsdale, AZ on January 18 for the Barrett-Jackson auction and bring a very big checkbook. Having a passion for charity isn't a bad idea either.
Yes, the first 2015 Mustang to be sold to the public will be crossing the block at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, with proceeds from the auction going to JDRF, the charity formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
"Ford Mustangs have always been among the most popular collector cars at Barrett-Jackson Collector Car events," said the president of Barrett-Jackson, Steve Davis. "While every collector wishes they had snapped up the first Mustang sold in 1964, this is an opportunity to realize that dream in a different way."
