Year:2002 Mileage:93210
Location:

Lancaster, California, United States

This truck has been meticulously maintained and I have mx records for the past 3+ years.  All fluids and filters have been changed on schedule under my ownership and can vouch for the previous owner as well.  This ride is adult owned by a non smoker and has been babied for a very long time and hasn't seen anything more than the west coast beaches.  So for those curious about its off road ability in the mud, I couldn't tell you. Here are the specs

Fabtech 4 link coil over conversion with Deaver 10" rear springs w/Firestone rear air bags. I currently have the suspension set up with a 8" lift but a few turn one could raise it up to the full 10"

Rims:  22x12 MHT Hostage

Tires: 37x15.50x20 Nitto Grapplers. Less than 9K miles on it since install

Shocks: Fabtech 4.0 Dirt Logic Coil Over up front with Fabtech 2.5 Dirt Logic rears and Fabtech steering stabilizers

Intake: AFE Stage II

Engine Mods:  ATS turbo shroud, CFM manifold, NEW Edge Evolution CS, wicked wheel II, rebuilt EBPV, new upper and lower turbo pedestal O-rings,  Riff-raff diesel intercooler boots throughout w/plenum inserts,  Sinster Diesel coolant filtration system, Crankcase Ventilation (CCV) Mod, Upgraded 26 row (6.0L) tranny cooler from stock 7.3L 9 row cooler.

Exhaust: MBRP stainless turbo back 6" RBP tip

Custom: New Built Transmission, Custom hydro graphic flamed dash, nu image dash face, 2007 front clip conversation using all Factory Ford parts,  painted to match mirrors, gas filler door, door handles, wiper cowl, steel cowl induction hood, , Helwig heavy duty rear sway bar, Viair constant duty onboard air compressor, custom tech front and rear drive shafts, aluminum diff covers. New heavy duty built Transmission with Hughes extra capacity aluminum pan, aftermarket taillights, a set of under mounted train horns.

Other: 7K HID's lights, PIAA bumper lights, AMP Power steps with LED lighting, Husky Liners throughout, Power seats, tow package, new idler pulley, serpentine belt, premium warn lock out hubs. The fuel filter bowl was rebuilt less than 1K miles ago.  A Tekonsha P3 brake controller has been installed for ease of towing.  12" drop hitch I'll include with the winning bid.

The bad there is a small chip in the hood from a rock chip and there is oil leak from the rear, that I originally thought was from the pedestal o-rings but after changing those I noticed it continued. My assumption is its from HPOP x-over line. Its no more than the size of a quarter but none the less something that bugs me.  The truck does have a lien against it but that will not be an issue working with the bank on that as its a military only bank and anybody who has dealt with USAA knows they are quick to and painless with their transactions.  I'm sure I have missed some items so please feel free to give me a call (253-961-4705) or email if there are any questions, thanks for looking and happy bidding.

Enterprise customer billed $47k for Mustang stolen from rental lot

Sun, 05 Jan 2014

A weekend rental of a Ford Mustang GT Convertible sounds like a nice, relaxing way to burn some gas, but one Nova Scotia woman's two-day rental is turning into a months-long headache. In early October, Kristen Cockerill picked up the Mustang from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and she returned it the following day as stipulated by the rental contract. Unfortunately, she dropped the car off on a Sunday - a day on which the particular Enterprise office is closed - and the car ended up being stolen overnight.
Now, two months later, CBC reports that Cockerill received a bill from Enterprise for the full replacement of the car totaling $47,271 (a base 2014 Mustang GT Convertible currently costs $40,349 in Canada). As it turns out, the fine print in the contract says that the renter is responsible for cars dropped off after hours until it can be inspected the next business day - this is also reflected on the key drop seen in the news report video, which states "vehicles returned after hours are the responsibility of the renter until inspected on the next business day."
It's not clear how much, if any, of that amount Cockerhill will be responsible for once her insurance company gets involved, but if the insurance company refuses to pay, Enterprise will bill the amount to the credit card she provided during her rental. While this ordeal is far over for Cockerhill, it's a good reminder for the rest of us to always read the fine print.

2016 Ford Focus RS may yet be AWD, US sales likely

Fri, 29 Aug 2014

When it comes to forbidden fruit, few vehicles are spoken of in as hushed a tone as the Ford Focus RS. The turbocharged, five-cylinder hot hatch could only be seen from afar by American customers as it tore up the roads of Europe. And while it's safe to say that Ford's Yankee fans are quite happy to now be on equal footing with drivers in the old country thanks to the Focus ST, we doubt there'd be much protestation over a successor to the RS arriving stateside.
Of course, we've seen images of the new RS undergoing testing, but a new story by Road and Track aims to fill in some very large blanks in our knowledge of that car, thanks to a pair of mysterious insiders at the Ford. Chief among those is this - the RS will almost certainly make its way to the US, albeit in limited quantities. It gets better, though.
Under hood, the new RS is unsurprisingly expected to borrow the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder from the 2015 Ford Mustang and 2015 Lincoln MKC. While that twin-scroll turbo produces 310 horsepower in the Mustang and 285 ponies in the MKC, R&T expects the RS to deliver quite a bit more firepower - 325 to 350 hp, with preference going to the higher output due to the limited-edition nature of the RS. This roughly fits with previous reports.

'84 MotorWeek Cherokee, Bronco and Blazer comparison indulges your SUV nostalgia

Fri, Jan 16 2015

These days, truck-based, full-frame SUVs are somewhat of a rarity on the auto landscape due to the rapid rise in popularity of easier-driving, car-based crossovers. Although, without the gradually building popularity of these chunky, high-riding vehicles decades ago, it's unlikely that America's roads would be filled with so many CUVs today. In its latest dig into the archives, MotorWeek has found a 1984 comparison test of a trio of these early Sport Utility Wagons, as long-time host John Davis called them, that helped get acceptance of this segment going. This is a red, white and blue test of the SUVs from American automakers at the time and pits the Chevrolet Blazer, Ford Bronco and Jeep Cherokee (specifically in Wagoneer guise) against each other. Driving manners and interior usability are considered in the evaluation, but Motorweek actually takes these vehicles off road, too. Among the bigger revelations is the improvement in on-road ability in the past 30 years. While specific 0-60 times aren't given, all three models take around 10 seconds just to get to around 50 miles per hour in the 500-feet on-ramp acceleration test. Check out this clip to see just how far this segment has progressed in the past three decades or just get a blast of nostalgia from these now vintage models.
