2001 Ford Excursion Limited 7.3l Powerstroke Diesel 4" Lift W/ 35" Bfg Ats on 2040-cars
Chesapeake, Virginia, United States
2001 Ford Excursion Limited 7.3L with the infamous Powerstroke Turbo Diesel engine. 4WD electronic shift on the fly. Also has fairly new Warn manual locking hubs. 211k miles but runs very well. Small 4" suspension lift with 35" x 12.5" x 16.5" BFG All-Terrain tires. Skyjacker dual shocks up front. Leather, power, heated seats. 3rd row seat. Tow package. Heated mirrors. New battery. Leather interior is in good condition. The 2nd and 3rd row show no signs of tears, rips, or cracks. The driver's seat has some slight cracking on the armrest, but overall the seats are in very good condition considering the truck is 13 years old. There are no rips or holes in any of the seats.
Title is clean and clear. CarFax also shows no accidents, flood damage, etc. I will include a copy with this listing. Known Issues -front 2 windows go up and down slower than the others, but they do work -2 tires have decent tread, the other 2 are pretty low. Might pass inspection but need to be replaced soon -no major dents/dings/scratches -front passenger power door lock does not work 100% of the time, in which case it must be locked manually -front row and 2nd row window tint is starting to peel. You can have them retinted for $100 (got quotes last weekend). I never had it done because it didn't bother me. |

Woman trades 1914 Model T in for 2013 Corvette
Wed, 17 Apr 2013We're sure that dealers must see all sorts of interesting trade ins, but this one may take the cake. Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, Louisiana, recently had a customer come in with an odd request. Tina Boyter wanted to trade in three vehicles on a brand-new 2013 Chevy Corvette. Among the hardware was 1980 Corvette, a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1914 Ford Model T. While the '80 Corvette had been her personal car for years, the '78 Eldorado had belonged to Boyter's mother before she traded up to a Lincoln. The big Caddy had just 10,290 miles on the clock when it was traded in.
And the Model T? Boyter says the car was built as a racer by Ford, and that it had been a show winner for years when it belonged to her father. But, after spending the last 16 years in a museum with its fluids drained, Boyter decided it was time to shed some of the past. She walked into the dealer, laid eyes on a white 2LT Corvette with a red interior and offered to trade all three of the vehicles in on the sports car.
Why not wait for the C7? "I fell in love with that one when I walked in the door," She said. We can't fault her there.

Mulally will stay close to Ford after he steps down, plans to advise Fields [w/video]
Fri, 27 Jun 2014Ford CEO Alan Mulally has less than a week left in his role of leading the Blue Oval before he hands off duties to Mark Fields on July 1. It doesn't look like Mulally is going to be shuffling off into his retirement anytime soon, though. The 68-year-old is being rather secretive about his next move, but he tells Bloomberg in a recent interview that he plans to stay close to Ford. Also, if Fields wants to ask for any advice, Mulally is happy to help.
Mulally took over at Ford in 2006 and led the company through a seriously rough patch in the auto industry. According to Bloomberg, he became famous or his Thursday meetings where executives were forced to deal with any problems before they could leave. Since announcing his retirement from Ford in May, Mulally has been insuring a smooth transition of power by traveling the world to all of company's major locations and saying goodbye to employees and dealers.
In terms of the future at Ford, Mulally doesn't predict any big changes in management style because the rest of the executive team is staying in place. He believes that Fields is going to maintain the processes already in place to keep things going. After all, it seems to be working. The company is predicting a return to profitability in Europe next year and is opening 88 new dealers in China. If the business could get its recalls under control, things could get even better.
