1999 Ford Escort Zx2. Sporty car, runs great. I've driven it about 300 miles today and its doing great. Just changed the oil today! Tires are good. Interior is decent. Body is fair. Pictures show small dents and scratched, but typical for a 1999. The paint has a couple spots on the spoiler, and the roof that the clear coat is coming off on. This is a 5 speed manual. Shifts great, clutch feels fine. There is a $100 documentation fee for the title that will be added to the last bid. I will work with you on shipping, there is no rush to get the car gone. Watch NASCAR racer Brad Keselowski do a burnout... in a hotel conference room
Fri, 08 Mar 2013A vast majority of hotels frown upon smoking inside the building these days, but Brad Keselowski doesn't follow the rules. During his introduction at the 2013 MiilerCoors Distribution Convention, the reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup champion smoked the tires of his Miller-sponsored Ford Fusion stock car, adding a pair of thick, black stripes to the carpeting of the Marriott World Center's conference room.
This definitely isn't a high-quality video, but it's the perfect vantage point to watch Keselowski lay down some rubber and receive a well-deserved standing ovation after pulling up in front of the crowd. Check out the short-but-sweet video posted below.
Roush getting back into sport compact business with Focus ST mods [w/video]
Wed, 29 May 2013Roush Performance offers a whole raft of parts for folks looking to tune their Ford Mustang and F-150 models, and now Focus owners can start getting in on the hotted-up action, too. Owners of the 2012-13 Focus and 2013 Focus ST can now get a Roush cold-air intake system, and ST owners can also opt for a high-performance cat-back exhaust.
Although all of these components are now available for order, the parts will ship sometime in July; no word yet on pricing. Down the road, Roush will also offer styling upgrades for the Focus as well as performance tuning upgrades such as engine controller, suspension, wheels and tires. Last 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible nets $500k for charity at Barrett-Jackson [w/video]
Tue, 13 Aug 2013The last 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible was sold on Saturday at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Reno, Nevada, for $500,000. Ford donated the Mustang to be auctioned for charity, and all of the money is going to the Brain Injury Association of America.
Parnelli Jones, winner of the 1963 Indianapolis 500, was there on behalf of the BIAA with his son Page, who suffered a brain injury in a sprint car crash in 1994. The bidding increased quickly, reaching $500k in no time, spreading a bit more hope to people who live with brain injuries.
The winning bidder will be able to choose the GT500's exterior, interior and stripe colors, and is scheduled to receive the car, signed by Parnelli Jones in appreciation for the donation, by the end of 2013. Watch the video below to see the auction-block action.
