Here is a 2013 Ford Escape S with only 6700 miles!!  This is a near new car and is in good condition.  It has a clear title which I have in hand.  This S model is the base model that you can purchase at your local Ford dealer right now for around 22k or $25,000 out the door.  Buy this one and instantly save over $5000!  This car has been in a front end collision which was professionally repaired.  The car runs and drives well.  There is a CD that seems to be stuck in the cd player and the AC turns on after running for 10 minutes and blows cold.  These are two problems I haven't had looked into and offering the car at a discount instated.

The paint looks good overall.   As I said the front end was repaired and it has a new factory hood and a new fender and some plastic trim parts up front. The title is clear, this was not a salvaged car, it does however show an accident on the autocheck.

Interior is very clean like new as you would expect.  It has cloth interior with black carpet.   Has keyless entry with one key.  Spare and jack and owners manual are all there.

Mechanically the car runs excellent.  As I said the AC has a funny issue where it turns on and blows cold after running for about 10 minutes, maybe a temperature switch or something to that effect, but it always turns on for me.  The car handles perfect and drives excellent.  It drives straight on the freeway with no issues.  I have driven it personally at least 1000 miles this summer.  Tires are still like new and has all original equipment.  Factory warranty as far as I know may be voided because it has been in an accident, but you would have to check with your local dealer to be sure of that.  But it is a new car and most likely will run great for a long time and you won't need the warranty.

Please call me at 949 2  8  5  -  8  0  1   1  with any questions.

I am a dealer, California buyers will have to pay tax and license.  Out of state buyers pay their own state tax as long as it is transported via licensed auto transporter.

Ford spotted testing new Focus RS at the Nurburgring

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

Ford is expected to be launching a revised version of the Focus ST soon, but the latest snapshots from our spy photographers at the Nürburgring suggest that the Blue Oval is already working on an even more potent example: the new Focus RS.
Though the partially disguised test mule is wearing an ST badge (along with a Dewey sticker that makes us wonder what adventures Huey and Louie are up to and what manner of duck-tail rear spoiler they may be wearing), there are several tell-tale signs that something else is afoot here. There's a larger front air dam, bigger brake calipers, dual exhaust tips (instead of the central exhaust on the ST) and a reshaped wing protruding from the trailing edge of the roof.
That may all be well and fine, but what's under the hood? We don't know yet for sure, but word has it that Ford is preparing to port over the 2.3-liter turbo four offered in the new Mustang, where it packs 305 horsepower and almost as much torque - potentially retuned to produce even more for the top-of-the-line Focus, which could channel it all to the front wheels like the last model or pack an all-wheel drive system. The Global C platform on which the Focus is based does, after all, also underpin AWD models like the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC.

Ford taken to task by gov't for Chicken Tax end-around

Mon, 23 Sep 2013

Ford is in a bit of a pickle for importing and selling Turkey-built Transit Connect cargo vans as passenger vehicles in the US, then converting them to commercial-vehicle specification stateside in an effort to bypass a 25-percent tax imposed on vehicles imported for commercial use. Automakers are required to pay a 2.5-percent tax on imported passenger vehicles.
The Blue Oval got into trouble for this in a January ruling in which U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials asked Ford to stop the practice of importing the Transit Connect vehicles with passenger seats, then removing and shredding them. Now Automotive News reports that Ford is appealing the ruling. The 25-percent "Chicken Tax," as the tariff is often called, is 50 years old and was enacted as a response to a German tariff on chickens. Like Ford, Chrysler bypasses the higher tariff, but it does so in a different manner. It partially disassembles Sprinter cargo vans before shipping them to the US, then rebuilds them at a plant in South Carolina.
But the ruling against Ford's strategy states that it "serves no manufacturing or commercial purpose" and is there to "manipulate the tariff schedule," Automotive News reports. As Ford's appeal goes through, it is importing the Transit Connect and paying the higher tax, hoping for a favorable outcome and planning to build the next-generation Transit Connect, which it plans to launch before the end of the year, in Spain.

Ford C-Max Solar Energi takes a recharging station wherever it goes

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

Companies ranging in size from small startups to major automakers have been experimenting with solar-powered charging stations for EVs and plug-in hybrids. And, of course, people have been powering vehicles with onboard solar panels for quite some time, too. Still, Ford's new C-Max Solar Energi Concept shows the promise of a truly practical implementation of solar on a production vehicle, and it may not be as far off in the future as we had thought.
As we reported a few days ago, the Solar concept makes use of a "concentrator lens" that focuses sunlight onto the Ford's roof-mounted solar panels. The special lens follows the rays of the sun to maximize the amount of charge being fed to the batteries of the car, taking about a day to fully charge the 21-mile, all-electric range of the C-Max Energi. Ford data suggests that combination might be enough to power 75 percent of all trips made by a statistically average driver. In turn, using the sun to power a vehicle could reduce yearly C02 emissions by up to four metric tons when compared with the driver of an average gasoline-powered sedan.
We've got live images of the C-Max Solar Energi Concept, jauntily tilted on its display to best present it's signature solar panels, straight from the CES floor.
