**Attention**  This is NOT the hybrid.  Ebay is automatically bringing that in and I can't get rid of it!!  This is the 4 cylinder gasoline engine.  Sorry for any confusion.

This an absolutely LOADED 2011 Ford Escape Limited with only 40,071 miles. Gas prices are always going up it seems and this SUV gets some of the best MPG. If you live in a location that gets snow, have no fear, this FWD gets around perfectly and you can save the MPG from 4WD that you truly will not need. This is a very versatile vehicle, and believe it, or not has a THIRD ROW SEAT. We added the "Little Passenger Seat" shortly after we bought it and details about it are listed below. The third row seat truly makes this vehicle extremely versatile. If you have some small children out of rear facing child seats its perfect to get some additional seating. There are three seatbelts, but honestly we felt its better suited for two, due to space limitations. And this is a seat for children only, adults and teenagers are not going to fit comfortably in this seat. But that's the beauty; if you have the need then you have it. If there is a trip in which you need cargo, but not the seating, then it can easily be removed in minutes with NO TOOLS, and you'll have all the original cargo space. We also added Power Acoustik dual headrest touchscreen DVD players, which the details are listed below. The car has been very well taken care of. It's always in the garage, and has been serviced every 3,000 miles. The only blemishes are a small "door ding" apparently from another car in a parking lot, and a small, shallow scratch in the clear coat on the hood which can only be seen when the light is right. Its due for two new tires, but the rear have some mileage left in them.  We are only selling it because our family has outgrown it. Do your homework, lookup the value, include all these awesome options and you'll realize it's priced to sell. Don't forget the third row seat which I have the receipt showing cost $1,200 itself. Don't forget the DVD players which cost over $500. Read through these options, there is also information on the 3rd row seat and DVD Players which were copied directly from the manufacturers' websites.

Ford Fiesta rally car warms up in Sweden

Tue, 18 Mar 2014

Rallycross is seeing a sudden surge in popularity with two series bringing the racing to the US and Europe. The Ford OMSE team is competing in both championships this season, and it saw no reason not to hold practice with a highly modified Fiesta in the snow of Northern Sweden. It brought together Andreas Bakkerud from the European-focused FIA World Rallycross Championship and Patrik Sandell from the North American-focused Global Rallycross series for some training and fun. They certainly appear to be enjoying themselves, too, with some lovely pirouettes in the powder.
If you're unfamiliar with rallycross, the discipline combines the best of rallying and circuit racing. Drivers (with no co-drivers) race rally cars over a circuit that generally mixes dirt and asphalt, and unlike traditional rallying, multiple cars compete side-by-side at once. Even better, it's often a very two-fisted form of motorsports with lots of car-to-car contact. Global Rallycross and World Rallycross will both kick off their seasons in May. With spring on the way, scroll down to watch the Fiesta kick up some of the last snow drifts of the year.

Ford of Europe celebrates Mondeo's 20th anniversary

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

Ford's European operations are celebrating a milestone of sorts as the Mondeo, the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter D-segment sedan in the old country, celebrates its 20th anniversary. The mid-sizer, which was sold in the US for a short time as the Contour, has been a far more popular vehicle in Europe - even receiving regular praise from one Jeremy Clarkson.
Narrated by Cockney actor Ray Winstone, the video goes through the Mondeo's years and how it's evolved from 1993 to the as-yet-unreleased fifth-generation model, which is essentially the same as the Ford Fusion that's sold in America. Take a look below for the full video from Ford of Europe.

Ford's simple suit makes you feel like a drunk driver

Tue, Mar 25 2014

We've all heard about the dangers of drunk driving for practically our entire lives. Whether it's from PSAs on TV or lectures in school, no one can claim ignorance of drunk driving being extremely dangerous. However, that doesn't prevent some people from still doing it. Ford is trying to take the safety message directly to young drivers with a special suit that allows them to simulate driving under the influence. It is all part of Ford's Driving Skills for Life program that gives free driving education to young people. The program is meant to "train kids in skills they don't learn in driver's ed," said Kelli Felker, Ford Safety Communications Manager, to Autoblog. The drivers don a few items to impair their senses and make them off-balance to simulate having a few too many drinks and then go out on a closed course with an instructor to see the effects. Felker said that the suit is a new part of the program, and Ford just received the outfit in the US. It will be incorporated into the training here in the late spring or early summer. Scroll down to see the effect it has on drivers in Europe. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
