2002 Ford Escape/Red
Well this was a really nice car until my son decided to scrape the side of it off against a telephone pole last Friday evening so his loss is your gain i guess. This has really been a good car. It runs very well and the 4x4 is very reliable which is why i had my son in it. I'll list the options for you: V-6 motor, automatic transmission, sunroof, 4 wheel drive, Aluminum wheels, New Firestone Destination tires 1 month ago, Leather seats, Power mirrors, doors locks and windows, power seat on drivers side, Air conditioning, Cruise control, tow package, luggage rack. This car can still be a very nice car but it will require 2 new complete drivers side doors, a front fender, mirror, aluminum wheel, and a front A-arm for the suspension. Interior is exceptionally nice all around with no tears or rips and everything is very clean and neat, Sunroof is in good shape and works properly, windshield is in good shape with no cracks or chips, Hood,bumper and grille are fine. This car does have 241,000 plus miles but the way it runs and drives you would never know it. I have been very happy with the performance of the vehicle and it still runs like a champ. I have all the damaged parts that were taken off the car and they go with the purchase. Title was never claimed under any insurance so it is NOT a salvage title. Title is clear and i can sign it over to the new owner. We will be using this money to put towards his new car or perhaps driving lessons...... so please be generous and help a dad out!!! More than 800,000 Fords recalled for faulty Takata airbags
Thu, Jan 12 2017The Basics: Ford is recalling about 816,000 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles built in the US for faulty passenger-side Takata airbags. The affected vehicles were all built in North America, with 654,695 recalled vehicles in the US and 161,174 vehicles in Canada. A wide variety of cars, trucks, and SUVs are affected. This is a planned expansion of an earlier recall. 2005-09 and 2012 Ford Mustang 2005-06 Ford GT 2006-09 and 2012 Ford Fusion 2007-09 Ford Ranger 2007-09 Ford Edge 2006-09 and 2012 Lincoln Zephyr and Lincoln MKZ 2007-09 Lincoln MKX 2006-09 Mercury Milan The Problem: Like every other Takata recall, the problem rests with faulty airbags that can potentially expel shrapnel, injuring or killing vehicle occupants. Millions of vehicles from dozens of automakers are affected, so don't think that Ford is alone on this one. Injuries/Deaths: Ford stated in a press release that there have been no injuries or death linked to the vehicles in this recall. All in all, 11 deaths and 180 injuries across a variety of automakers have been linked to these Takata airbags. The fix: Ford will contact owners soon, and the affected vehicles will have their airbags replaced by a dealer at no additional charge. If you own one: Wait for contact from Ford, then head to the dealer to get a replacement. If you're wondering if your vehicle is affected, go to this Ford website and enter their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The recall reference number is 17S01. How Ford secretly used customers to test its aluminum F-150 [w/video]
Fri, 30 May 2014Automakers getting clever about disguising development vehicles isn't anything new. Between mules wearing the sheetmetal of other cars and prototypes decked out in as much camouflage as is practical, automakers know how to make it very difficult for the general public to get an exact idea of what kind of vehicle is in development. Ford, though, is rapidly becoming the master.
We knew that the Blue Oval originally tested the durability of the aluminum construction being used for the 2015 F-150 by building an all-aluminum 2014 truck and entering it in the Baja 1000 off-road race. That's no longer a secret. What we didn't know, though, is that the aluminum development dates back to before even that, and that some of the people in question had no idea what it was they were working with.
Ford says this is the first time prototypes have ever been handed over to the public.
