2001 FORD ESCAPE XLT 4X4 FOR SALE.. VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH A 3.0L V6 THAT STARTS AND RUNS STRONG. THE AUTOMATICE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED IN NOVEMBER 2013. OTHER ITEMS ON THE SUV THAT WERE REPLACED AT THE SAME TIME ARE THE REAR WIPER MOTOR AND THE TWO FRONT TIRES.. TIRE BRAND AND MAKE DO MATCH. THE REAR TIRES STILL HAVE 50% TREAD WHILE THE FRONT TIRES ONLY HAVE A FEW THOUSAND MILES ON THEM. THE FRONT ROTORS WERE RESURFACED ABOUT A MONTH AGO. THE 4WD SYSTEM SHIFTS IN AND OUT SMOOTHLY AND HAS NEVER GIVEN US ANY PROBLEMS. THERE IS SLIGHT BODY DAMAGE ON THE RIGHT REAR QUARTER JUST ABOVE THE REAR BUMPER.. PICTURES SHOW DAMAGE. THERE ARE A FEW ROCK CHIPS AND DINGS, BUT THOSE ARE TO BE EXPECTED IN A VEHICLE OF THIS AGE. IT IS STILL OUR DAILY DRIVER AND WOULD FEEL COMFORTABLE TAKING THIS VEHICLE ANYWHERE AT ANYTIME. CLEAN AND CLEAR KANSAS TITLE IN HAND. THIS VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS WITH NO WARRANTY. Ford brings FPV Falcon production in house [w/video]
Thu, 21 Feb 2013For the first time since 1976, Ford of Australia is bringing the assembly of its stonking Ford Performance Vehicle line back in-house to the company's Broadmeadows and Geelong facilities. That's a point of pride for FPV, which builds high-performance versions of the Australian Falcon model like the F6, GS and the heroic GT seen here.
In the video below, we hear FPV employees talking in hushed tones about the important legacy that cars like the GT have for Australian gearheads of all stripes, and how proud they are to say that hand-built machines like this GT R-Spec with its Boss 355 engine are now rolling out of their home base. For our part, we're just dying to drive this version of the Coyote V8; the engine is rocking a "Miami" supercharger from Harrop and makes some 450 horsepower.

Ladies Love It: Ford Fiesta wins Womens World Car of the Year
Thu, 25 Jul 2013It's official: A panel of female automotive writers has chosen the Ford Fiesta 1.0-liter EcoBoost as the Womens World Car of the Year, and it beat tough competition like the Mazda CX-5, Range Rover and Porsche Boxster S for the overall top spot.
The CX-5 and Range Rover won the SUV and Luxury Car categories, respectively, and the Boxster S laid claim to the Sports Car category, beating the runner up Audi RS5 and third place Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ (or Scion FR-S). The Audi Allroad was named the Family car of the year.
The panel consisted of 18 female automotive writers from around the world tasked with picking the best car in each of eight categories, including top vehicle overall, using criteria that women utilize when shopping for a car. That includes safety, value-for-money, aesthetic appearance, storage space, child-friendliness, ease-of-driving, color, sex appeal and environmental footprint.
