Up for sale is a a 2011 Ford Edge SPORT AWD in White Platinum Tri-Coat and Black Leather interior. We are the original owners of this vehicle and it was purchased back in the beginning of January 2011 from King's Ford in Mason, OH. All service has been done at King's Ford since we purchased the vehicle. The balance of the factory warranty has expired so the vehicle is being sold AS-IS with NO warranty. The vehicle just has approximately 63,000 original miles on it, and is still driven occasionally. My wife is a company rep and her territory requires her to travel to Indy, Louisville, Lexington, Columbus, etc. therefore the majority of the miles are highway miles. The vehicle has a 100% clean record with NO accidents at all. The vehicle does show some wear and scuffs as a result of 63K miles of use, but nothing "major" in my opinion. I'm happy to walk through each item with you. The only thing we had done to the car was add tint to the front 2 windows. Other features as as follows:

- VIN 2FMDK4AK2BBA55789
- 22" Polished Aluminum Wheels (all 4 show some curb rash)
- Blind Spot Monitoring System (BLIS) on side view mirrors.
- Panoramic Vista Roof
- Driver's Entry Package
- Voice Activated Navigation System
- MyFord Touch system by Microsoft
- Premium Audio System by Sony
- Sirius Satellite Radio Ready
- USB and Bluetooth Capabilities (for iPods and syncing phone)

This vehicle was $43,020 out the door (indicated on original window sticker). We are listing it for $24,900 Or Best Offer. If you're not interested please don't contact me. I'm open for negotiation on the price, but please don't contact me to offer below $20K. Don't waste my time or yours. If you're serious, let's talk and we can schedule a viewing/test drive. I have plenty more photos so if you need more just let me know and I'll send those.

Thank you for looking!

Ford Transit Skyliner Concept does discreet luxury in NYC

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

There's something to be said for luxed-out vans. They're cool, and as a means of getting chauffeured about, they're extremely comfortable and far more low key than your typical executive luxury sedan. For the 2014 New York Auto Show, Galpin Auto Sports has shown the potential of the new-for-the-US Ford Transit as an ultra-luxurious people hauler.
The Transit Skyliner Concept, which we previewed last week, sports four finely crafted captain's buckets that can be moved into different formations based on need. Want to watch a movie? The seats can be swung around to face a 52-inch screen. Riding along with some business associates? A table can be popped up. There's even a configuration for tailgating.
The materials are, unsurprisingly, pretty plush. The leather seats and wood floors (yes, wood floors in a van) look great, while the trunk and its customized luggage are a nice touch, as well.

Question of the Day: Most degraded car name?

Fri, May 27 2016

When Ford came up with a not-so-sporty version of the Pinto and slapped Mustang badges on it in 1974, that was a low point for the Mustang name. When Chrysler applied the venerable Town & Country name on perfectly functional but unglamorous minivans, it saddened many of us. But perhaps the biggest demotion for a once-proud model came when, in 1988, General Motors imported a misery-enhancing Daewoo from Korea and called it the Pontiac LeMans. The original Pontiac LeMans was a great-looking midsize car with fairly advanced (for the time) suspension design and engine options including potent V8s and a screaming overhead-cam straight-six. The Daewoo-based Pontiac LeMans was a cramped, shoddy hooptie that served only to ruin the LeMans name forever, while stealing sales from the Suzuki-based Chevrolet Sprint. Sure, using the once-respected Monterey name on the Mercurized Ford Freestar was bad, but Mercury didn't have long to live at that point. I say the downward spiral of the LeMans name was the most agonizing in automotive history. What do you think? Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. This is what a 3D-printed liquid metal Ford Torino looks like

Sat, 12 Oct 2013

Artist Ioan Florea has encapsulated a 1971 Ford Torino with 3-D-printed liquid metal transferred onto the car using technology that he developed, and the result is a stunningly shiny, seamless design.
"The surface has the highest coefficient of reflectivity never achieved before," Florea told us in an e-mail, using "nano-materials and nano-pigments that create an internal three-dimensional structure and dictate the polymer how to behave." Sure... We'll leave it to him to make any more 3-D-printed liquid metal-transferred art pieces.
Florea grew up in Romania, and the motivation behind picking the old Ford as his canvas came from his childhood memories of what an American car is - "big and wide and fascinating," he says - and the European name of the car itself, which it shares with an Italian city.
