2003 Ford E-150 Silver Passenger Van 4.2l Engine W/ Only 10k Miles!!! on 2040-cars
Brooklyn, New York, United States
ONLY 10,044 MILES ON ENGINE!!!!!!
ENGINE ONLY ONE AND A HALF YEARS OLD! This is a 2003 E150 Ford passenger van with a 4.2L engine. I bought the van on 10/17/11 from Curmson's in Queens, NY. It had 114,412 miles on it when I bought it. The following summer the engine died on me. I bought a brand new 4.2L engine from Bay Ridge Ford in Brooklyn on 6/29/12. When I did so, the van had 117,901 miles on it. It now has 127,945 miles on it, MEANING THE NEW ENGINE ONLY HAS 10,044 MILES ON IT. I've had a good amount of work done to it and have kept receipts for all of it, everything including oil changes. The van has only one row of seats in, besides the driver and passenger seat, as you can see in the pictures. It has tinted windows, and a new stereo with cassette player and auxiliary-in so you can plug in an iPod or other MP3 players, etc. It has running boards on both sides. A couple of the tires should probably be replaced relatively soon. Recent work includes: New front brakes and rotors New right side engine mount New upper & lower radiator hoses & more I used the van for touring with bands, and some occasional work. Can give more details on that if wanted. I took it to the mechanic a few weeks ago to make sure everything was running well before I sold it and everything is. The only defects are one minor scratch above rear left wheel and a very minor dent (not noticeable) next to rear right wheel. See last few pictures. Everything runs like new. This van is perfect for touring bands. Put in couple more rows of seats and its perfect for airport runs, etc. It has a ton of life left in it. Let me know if you have any questions. Available to show locally. I will deliver the van within New York City for no charge. I will also drive to La Guardia, JFK and Newark Airports to deliver van at no charge. I will not go outside NYC if it is not one of these airports. If you wish the van to be shipped you will be fully responsible. I will not help will that process. WILL GET PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED INSIDE AND OUT BEFORE PASSING OFF TO BUYER! Thank you for looking! |

From Expedition to Navigator: our predictions for Lincoln's SUV
Tue, Feb 7 2017In the midst of all the buzz surrounding the new aluminum Ford Expedition and Expedition Max, we remembered the other large SUV the Ford Motor Company showed last year, the Lincoln Navigator concept. And since the Navigator has historically been built on the Expedition platform, we figured there's no better time to focus some of our predictions for the big Lincoln. First off, let's take a look at design. Having seen the new Expedition, we're fairly confident that the Navigator will look almost exactly like its concept. The strong similarities between two mean the Expedition serves as a preview of what a production Navigator will look like. For example, both vehicles' greenhouses we can see that the shape of the C-pillars are nearly identical. The only difference is that the Expedition's are painted body color, while the Navigator's are painted black. Additionally, the character line running along the top of the doors on both vehicles is roughly the same height. The same goes for the more subtle crease near the bottom of the doors. We also see no reason why Lincoln wouldn't use the full width taillights, fender vent, and grille treatment it used on the concept. Those are all easy design changes to create differentiation, and they're all right inline with the cues set by the Continental. View 15 Photos For powertrain, we're pretty certain the 400-horsepower 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 previewed on the concept is a certainty now. The Expedition and Expedition Max will be offered with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost as well, so we know it will fit. We expect the Expedition's engine will produce 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque as it does in the F-150. That's less power than the Navigator concept, but it would be reasonable to make the production Navigator a bit more powerful than its lowly Ford brethren to help justify the increased price tag. Towing capacity will probably be about the same between the Ford and Lincoln, which should be something over 9,000 pounds. The Navigator will probably use the same two-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive drivetrains, too. Inside is where the Expedition and Navigator will likely differ the most, particularly in seating. The Expedition offers seating for up to eight with an available second-row bench seat, and the Navigator concept had captain's chairs for every row. We're expecting the Navigator will only offer second-row captain's chairs since the cramped third row would be a waste of nice buckets.
'Car Wars' says Ford, Honda to pick up share, Fiat-Chrysler ambitions downplayed
Sat, 14 Jun 2014Don't look for a tremendous shifts in automotive market share over the next three years because it might not be coming. That's at least according to the annual Car Wars report by John Murphy, from Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Research.
In the report's analysis of automakers' market share from 2013 to 2017, it predicts only small changes among the major companies. Ford and Honda see the biggest positive effect with an estimated 0.5 percent increase in their shares over the next three years; to 16.2 percent and 10.3 percent respectively. On the flip side, European automakers and Nissan are expected to lose 0.2 percent each to fall to 8.3 percent and 7.8 percent each respectively. The rest of the industry is predicted to hold steady as it is now.
The biggest loser in that prediction might be Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. The report certainly throws a wet blanket on its plan for significant gains in market share. Murphy told The Detroit News that the company's goal was "almost unattainable."
Ford turns Navistar from truck business customer to rival
Mon, 19 May 2014There is a showdown brewing in the medium-duty truck segment next year as Ford prepares to launch its all-new, in-house engineered 2016 F-650 and F-750. It finally marks the end of the Blue Diamond joint venture between Ford and Navistar and, making the two entities direct competitors instead of partners.
Ford announced the end of the joint venture in an investor report in 2011, but it didn't reveal the new F-650 and F-750 until the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, IN, in March. Unlike the current, Mexican-built models, the new generation will be built in Avon Lake, OH, starting in mid-2015.
The challenge from Ford comes during a rough patch for Navistar. The company had a $248 million loss in the first quarter, according to The Wall Street Journal, and its medium-duty truck market share is currently down to 26 percent, from 36 percent in 2011. Building the previous-generation Fords brought in about $400 million a year to Navistar, according to the WSJ. To take on its former partner, Navistar plans to offer its International brand of medium-duty vehicles with more engine and transmission options to customers. It even struck a deal with Cummins to put its diesels in some of the models.
