THIS AUCTION IS FOR A 1993 FORD ECONO BOX VAN. MY HUSBAND USED THIS FOR HIS PRESSURE WASHING BUSINESS, WHICH DUE TO THIS WONDERFUL ECONOMY HAS SINCE GONE UNDER. WHEN WE PARKED IT, IT WAS RUNNING, HOWEVER WE TRIED TO CRANK IT A FEW MONTHS BACK & IT WILL TURN OVER, IT WOULD NOT STAY RUNNING. BUT NOW THE BATTERY IS DEAD & IT DOES NOTHING. I HAVE ALL THE PAPERWORK FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER (MAINTENANCE RECORDS) SHOWING IT HAS HAD SEVERAL THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORK DONE TO IT. IT IS A 14 FOOT BOX. Ford recalling 126,000 Fusions and Milans over wheel separation concern
Fri, 09 Dec 2011Ford has announced a recall of certain Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan vehicles after an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A total of 128,616 2010 and 2011 models equipped with steel wheels may have been manufactured with wheel studs that could crack and split over time. If that happens, the vehicle may experience a wheel separation.
According to The Detroit News, the company is aware of a total of 30 wheel separation incidents, one of which occurred on the front of the vehicle. Even so, no injuries have been reported as a result of the defect.
The problem apparently stems from the fact that the mounting pads on the vehicles' steel wheels may have been faulty from the factory. In addition, the wheel mounting face on rear disc brakes may not have been installed properly. Ford will inspect the rear disc face and replace them as necessary. Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards
Tue, 27 Nov 2012Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
