The vehicle suffers from the following KNOWN issues:
Driver's-side front window does not open/close - window motor or regulator issue
Digital Clock Not Working - unknown electrical issue
Radio/Cassette Player Not Working - unknown electrical issue
Odometer Not Working - has not worked since 2004
Exhaust Pipe Partially Cut - incomplete exhaust project
Heater Core Clogged or Damaged - coolant leaks and collects on floor of passenger cabin
Sun-Damaged Paint - severe.....to bare metal in spots
Interior Rearview Mirror Not Attached - needs to be glued on
This vehicle was given to me by my father in July of 2005. I am the second owner. It was in excellent shape at the time he gave it to me and I used it regularly for about five years putting about another 30 - 40K miles on it by my best estimate. This is in addition to the approximately 50+K miles already on it when the odometer stopped. It has always been my "spare" vehicle. For the last 3-4 years it has sat in my driveway. Due to a combination of lack of use and the outside storage, little things have continued to go wrong with it over the last few years. It still starts and runs well. I have always kept up routine maintenance on the motor. Heater core issue came up about a year and a half ago and I have not re-registered the car since. I have clear title.
Includes custom car cover, full-size spare and trailer hitch. Car should not be driven until heater core issue is resolved due to overheating potential. I can have vehicle towed to buyer's specified location within a 100 mile radius of 32738 zip code.
THE FINE PRINT:
Vehicle is sold “AS IS,” with NO WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES expressed or implied. Every reasonable effort has been made to accurately represent vehicle features and issues - NO RETURNS. Please study photographs and ask any questions before bidding. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY, PLEASE. Winning bidder must contact seller within 7 days of end of auction to arrange a time to meet and inspect the vehicle. After inspection, buyer and seller will meet at local tag office to complete payment in full, transfer title and register the vehicle in buyer’s name. Buyer will only take possession of vehicle AFTER title has been transferred and vehicle has been registered to buyer. Tax, tag and title fees are the responsibility of the buyer. I am not a dealer. This was my personal spare vehicle and I would prefer to see it go to someone who can get some more use out of it or has the time and capability to part it out for a profit.
THANK YOU!

Ward's Automotive Ten Best Engines of 2014 dominated by diesels, turbos
Thu, 12 Dec 2013With the Car and Driver Ten Best decided, the North American Car and Truck of the Year finalists announced and Cadillac, Ram and Subaru chalking up wins with Motor Trend, it's fair to say that the automotive awards season is in full swing. The next set of trophies to be handed out will be from Ward's Automotive, which has announced the winners of its 2014 10 Best Engines.
The latest contest was marked by the widespread emergence of diesel power and the continued success of turbocharged engines. There was even an electric motor on this year's list. In fact, only three of the ten winners were naturally aspirated and only two winners returned from last year.
"We weren't looking to throw the bums out, as they might say about an election. We were just really impressed with the flood of new powertrains," said Ward's Automotive Editor-in-Chief Drew Winter. Those new powertrains include the 83-kilowatt electric motor from the Fiat 500e, the 1.0-liter, EcoBoost three-cylinder from the Ford Fiesta and the 2.0-liter turbodiesel from the Chevrolet Cruze.
Ford recalling 65k Fusions from 2014 and 2015 because key can be removed
Tue, 18 Nov 2014Ford is recalling an estimated 64,869 examples of the 2014-2015 Fusion, Fusion Energi and Fusion Hybrid in North America because the key can be removed when the vehicle isn't in Park under certain conditions. Specifically, the campaign covers 56,479 units in the US, 6,048 in Canada and 2,342 in Mexico, according to the automaker's tally on November 11.
Ford says a programming problem in the instrument cluster means that the key can be removed 30 minutes after the ignition is turned off, even if the transmission is not in Park. The situation where this could happen seems quite limited, and the company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the issue. However, the fault puts the vehicle out of compliance with federal regulations covering theft protection and rollaways, and must be repaired.
The fix is easy: Ford will reprogram the instrument cluster at no cost to consumers. According to Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker in an email to Autoblog, "We will notify customers the week of January 5th." Scroll down to read Ford's announcement.
Ford builds USAF Thunderbirds Edition Mustang for charity
Tue, 02 Jul 2013Each year since 2008, Ford has created a one-off Mustang to celebrate military aviation, and the cars have been auctioned off at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Gathering of Eagles charity event to raise money to inspire the next generation of aviators. This year's charity car is the 2014 Ford Mustang GT US Air Force Thunderbirds Edition, which also helps celebrate 60 years of Thunderbirds air show excellence.
Of all the EAA charity cars, this Thunderbirds Edition is the most in depth. Painted to match the F-16 Tomcat fighter jets used by Thunderbirds, this Mustang also gets a widebody kit and 22-inch Forgiato wheels to go with the cockpit's Recaro bucket seats, rear-seat delete and modified navigation screen and gauge cluster. Even the Mustang's projector puddle lights have been changed to show an aircraft silhouette - rather than the Mustang's galloping horse logo - when the doors are open.
Themes for previous EAA charity cars include the Blue Angels, SR-71 Blackbird and the Red Tails as well as the F-22 Raptor-inspired AV8R and AV-X10 "Dearborn Doll" models. Scroll down for the press release for the 2014 Ford Mustang GT US Air Force Thunderbirds Edition, and be sure to check out our galleries for all six aviation-themed Mustangs.
