THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL ARIZONA BIEGE ( PALE GOLD ) 2002 CROWN VIC P71 THAT IS AS CLEAN UNDERNEATH AS IT IS ON TOP. THERE IS NOT A SPECK OF RUST ANYWHERE ON, IN, OR UNDER THIS CAR!  IT WAS ORDERED BY A FLORIDA FORD DEALER AND NEVER WAS SOLD TO A POLICE DEPARTMENT . THE STORY I GOT FROM THE OWNER WAS THAT IT WAS JUST USED AROUND THE DEALERSHIP TO SHOW DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS WHAT WAS ACTUALLY AVAILABE IN THE POLICE PACK CARS IF THEY WANTED IT. OBVIOUSLY SOMEONE DID DRIVE IT,  AS IT HAD 18000 MILES ON IT WHEN SHE BOUGHT IT. SHE IS A LADY WHO A FEW YEARS AGO STARTED A PRIVATE SECURITY COMPANY AND WANTED IT FOR HER OWN VEHICLE. THE EXTERIOR IS A BEAUTIFUL ARIZONA BIEGE, WHICH IS A PALE GOLD CLEAR COAT,AND IS VERY NICE AND SHINY. THE INSIDE IS LIKE NEW AND HAS FULL CARPET, FULL VELOUR STYLE SEATS FRONT AND REAR, CRUISE CONTROL, PREMIUM SOUND SYSTEM, WITH STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS, POWER SEAT, NO SPOTLIGHT, BUT DOES HAVE TICKET LIGHT, 140 SPEEDOMETER, AND ALL THE USUAL P71 PERFORMANCE, SAFETY, AND HEAVY DUTY OPTIONS.  IT HAS AUTOMATIC TEMP CONTROL  COLD A/C. TIRES ARE VERY GOOD RSA 16'S , SPEED RATED. MOTOR RUNS BEAUTIFULLY, PERFORMANCE IS GREAT, LOADS OF SMOOTH POWER, TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GOOD AND FIRM, AND REAR DIFF IS QUIET AND TIGHT. TRUNK HAS FULL SPARE, JACK, AND KEVLAR TRUNKPAK ( WHICH I INSTALLED, ALONG WITH NEW HEADIGHTS ) . THIS IS A ONE-OF-A-KIND CROWN VIC TO ME, AND I HAVE SOLD SEVERAL HUNDRED OF THEM. I TOOK A FEW EXTRA PICTURES SHOWING FULL WHEEL COVERS OR POLICE STYLE  CENTER CAPS, CHROME OR BLACK POLICE GRILL, AND I CAN PUT EITHER THE "POLICE INTERCEPTOR" OR " CROWN VICTORIA" DECALS ON THE REAR FACIA, AS EITHER WOULD BE CORRECT FROM FORD, IT'S ALL JUST UP TO YOUR TASTE, NO CHARGE TO YOU FOR WHICH EVER WAY YOU WANT IT. ALL THIS AND ONLY 65000 ACTUAL DOCUMENTED MILES.  TITLE SAYS IT'S A P71, BUT IT DOES NOT SHOW EVER BEING IN POLICE USE. SHE ONLY SOLD IT BECAUSE SHE SOLD THE BUSINESS.  FLY IN TO TAMPA AND I'LL GLADLY PICK YOU UP. YOU CAN THEN DRIVE IT ANYWHERE WITHOUT A WORRY. WE'VE CHECKED IT OVER AND DRIVEN IT AND GAVE IT ANYTHING THAT WAS NEEDED TO MAKE SURE IT'S GOOD TO GO. WE'VE SOLD HUNDREDS OF THESE SO WE KNOW THEM WELL. WE SELL FOR CASH ONLY, WE'RE NOT A "BUY HERE PAY HERE" FINANCE PLACE, AND WE DON'T CHARGE ANY DEALER FEES. THIS IS PROBABLY NOT GOING TO LAST LONG SO HIT THE BUY IT NOW AND YOU'LL OWN IT.    813-610-1344. THANKS, BILLY                               ( CHECK MY FEEDBACK AS A "SELLER" AND BID OR BUY WITH CONFIDENCE )

Shelby to auction 2012 GT350 No. 1 in Vegas

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

With Shelby preparing to wind down production of its brutal GT350, a 624-horsepower Mustang that's meant to go up against the Roush Stage 3 in the world of tuned Ford ponycars, the Las Vegas-based tuner is looking to give back to one lucky customer. It'll auction off the very first GT350 ever produced, at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas, a three-day event that runs from September 26 through September 28.
The GT350 is a monster, with a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 that's been tuned well past 600 horsepower in a time when Ford's own Shelby-branded GT500 barely reached 550 horsepower. The GT350 is much louder than Ford's effort, too, both visually and audibly. The wide body look isn't what we'd call conventional, but on a car that sounds and goes like this, something extreme is needed. According to Shelby American's vice president of production, Gary Davis, "Carroll was very excited about the new wide body option, so that was included on this car. It's the first 2012 GT350 serial number from our anniversary year. It is a very special car." Wilwood brakes, a massaged suspension, and some very fat, sticky tires add to the Shelby experience.
This particular GT350 will be lot number 750, and will cross the Barrett-Jackson stage on Sunday, September 28.

Chip Ganassi Racing switches to the Ford EcoBoost-powered Riley Daytona Prototype

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) announced yesterday at Ford's SEMA press conference that it will field a Ford-Riley Daytona Prototype with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 in the 2014 United SportsCar Championship (USCC). CGRFS is the second team to commit to the new Ford-Riley car, behind Michael Shank Racing (which has already used the racecar to break a 26-year-old top-speed record at Daytona International Speedway).
"Over the last 10 seasons we have been able to experience a great deal of success in Grand-Am," Chip Ganassi says, "and now with the dawn of the new United SportsCar Championship we feel that Ford power will be a key ingredient to writing the next chapter of our sports car program."
In the last Grand-Am season, CGRFS raced a BMW-Riley Daytona Prototype. The team has won seven Daytona Prototype championships, all in the past ten years. Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas return as the team's prototype co-drivers, and will attend their maiden race in the Ford-Riley at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.

Ford worker files for UAW dues refund, stirs right-to-work debate

Sun, 24 Aug 2014

Let's start with some history: Ford's Dearborn truck plant, part of the company's massive River Rouge complex, was the center of a strike in 1941 that led to Ford signing the first "closed shop" agreement in the industry. The agreement obliged every worker at the plant to be a dues-paying member of the United Auto Workers. In December 2012, however, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder signed legislation making Michigan a right-to-work state, which outlawed closed shops. The new law gave workers the right to opt out of union membership and stop paying dues even if they were still covered by union activities like collective bargaining. For employees at the Dearborn plant, the right-to-work clauses take effect at the end of their current contract in 2015.
As a tool-and-die maker at Ford's Dearborn plant for 16 years, Todd Lemire pays dues to the UAW - about two hours' salary per month. However, he's been unhappy with the UAW's support of the Democratic party, and not wanting to wait until next year to be out of the UAW entirely he invoked his Beck Rights, which state that a non-member of a union does not have to pay dues to support non-core activities, such as political spending. But Lemire wasn't happy that Ford still subtracted the total amount of dues, with the UAW reimbursing the difference, so he filed suit with the National Labor Relations Board, feeling that the workaround violates his rights.
Lemire's case is just a week old, so it could be a while before a resolution. Yet, as September 15, 2015 draws near and the right-to-work laws take full effect for Michigan workers - and others wonder whether it could help revitalize the state's manufacturing base - a case like this adds more fuel to the discussion.
