Export 1956 Ford Crown Victoria Glass Top on 2040-cars
Jefferson, South Dakota, United States
Built for export 1956 Ford Crown Victoria Glass Top
Built at Mahwah Plant in New Jersey. Exported to Peru, South America. 3 are known to exist only 1956 in North America. This car is extremely rare and very unique. As a little background on the car, Fords of the early 50's were well built but they were also relatively conservative. A dose of style was in order, and the arrival of Franklin Q. Hershey signaled the dawn of a new era, as Fords were suddenly much more exciting. The top of the line was the flashy new Fairlane Crown Victoria, or which nearly 10,000 were built. The most Futuristic of these were the new glass tops, which were fitted with a tinted plexiglass roof section over the front seats. A zip-out liner gave shelter from the sun on hot days, but when removed it gave a dazzling effect. Allowing the passengers spectacular views of blue skies and starry nights. At $70 more however it was a little pricey and just 603 were built, making these the rarest and most desirable of the Crown Victoria's. In all honesty this 56 Ford is very rusty but has all body parts included to restore to a factory original. Has a 302 ci w/ 5 speed manual transmission that runs very well also a posi rear end w/ disc brakes. All glass is good except driver window the glass top has sun cracks. Chrome is in good condition with the exception of bumpers. Front seats are high back bucket out of a mustang, the back seats are all original in excellent shape. All other upholstery is in fair condition. Body has been modified but all donor parts will be included, a donor car in also negotiable in price. Contact for more information lots of pictures. Build your dream garage with this insane prize from Omaze
Wed, Jan 19 2022Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability is subject to change. No donation or payment necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes. See official rules on Omaze. Normally when we write about Omaze sweepstakes, they involve a car that you'd never go out and buy on your own. A six-figure camper van build, a $300,000 Ford Bronco restoration, a Land Rover Defender that's so beautiful it should be in a museum. Today's prize might beat out all of those, because not only could you win a dream car, you'll be entered for a chance to win $100k cash to go along with it. There are a lot of cars you can buy with $100k. You could buy a Land Cruiser Heritage Edition or a Mustang GT500 or 6 Chevy Sparks and start your own racing series. Personally, if I won that kind of dough, assuming I also won this Bentley Bentayga, my favorite of Omaze's current offerings, I'd probably use some of it to buy something quirky, like a Honda Element converted into a pop-top camper, or a restored/upgraded 60 series Land Cruiser. Think that's a terrible way to spend the cash? That's the beauty of it. It is completely up to you. No one can tell you what to do with it. Except maybe your spouse. Here are our favorite vehicle giveaways we’ve found online this week: 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition - Enter at Omaze Regardless of what you think about Ford using the name Mustang for an electric crossover, one thing is for certain, the Mustang Mach-E GT is an impressive piece of machinery. Here are the specs of the Mach-E in question, according to Omaze: Maximum Seating: 5 Engine: fully electric motors Drivetrain: eAWD Exterior Color: Rapid Red Metallic  Interior Color: Black Maximum Horsepower: 480 hp Maximum Torque: 634 lb-ft Acceleration: 0-60 in 3.5 seconds Range: 235 miles Approximate Retail Value: $75,500 Cash Alt: $56,625 Special Features: GT Performance Edition; panoramic fixed-glass roof; Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 and 360-degree camera; Brembo brakes; RTR Design Package including 20” RTR Aero 5 wheels, Nitto NT555 G2 tires and RTR Speed Block graphics Win a Restored 1969 Pontiac GTO - Enter at Omaze Joel Stocksdale, News Editor: There are an awful lot of ways to build a restomod.
Ford pulls official support from top-level NHRA teams
Sun, 11 Aug 2013As the smallest team in the sport, it wasn't really a surprise when Dodge decided to pull out of NASCAR, but Autoweek is reporting that Ford is looking to pull the plug on its professional-level NHRA sponsorships following the 2014 season. With attendance and television ratings down, the article reports that Ford is just backing out of the top series but will remain active in the Sportsman classes of racing, which are geared more toward the grassroots and semi-professional racers.
This means that one of drag racing's biggest names, John Force, will be left looking for new sponsorship after next season. Force, 64, has been with Ford for 17 years, winning 15 championships in that time and winning almost half of all Funny Car events in his Mustang since he started working with Ford in 1997, but after 2014, there could be some big shakeups at John Force Racing.
According to the report, Force would consider is moving over to the Top Fuel dragster series, although he could also move to another manufacturer to remain in the Funny Car series. With Ford on the way out, this leaves just Toyota and Dodge as the remaining active automakers in the highest levels of drag racing.
Ford set to target pre-school market with next F-150 variant
Tue, Jun 17 2014How do you build a strong group of loyalists from the next generation of American drivers? You start em' young. Ford has taken that lesson to heart, as we can see in the first batch of images of the company's new entry to the pre-school market, the Power Wheels F-150. This particular example was caught returning from testing around Ford's base of operations in Dearborn, MI – covered in tiny little bits of camouflage, too. Now, this could very well end up being a collaboration between Power Wheels and Ford. Then again, it could just be some bored engineers that decided to troll the local congregation of spy photographers, who earlier today captured images of the next Focus RS and SVT Mustang. Whatever it is, it's pretty darn cool. Take a look up top for images of the new Power Wheels F-150.
