A Big Comfortable Car With Great Mileage. This Car Is Trouble Free. on 2040-cars
Springfield, Missouri, United States
PLEASE direct all questions to the phone number = Larry at 417-379-3330, as I listed this car I've never seen in person - for a friend who lives 1200 miles away from me. Being a friend of Larry's I can say by the pics, and by his conversation to me about this Crown Vic he loves it. This car was built new with the police interceptor vehicle options. 25 HIGHWAY MILES PER GALLON!!! It has NOT been repainted. It was used as a government vehicle and NOT a black and white police car. The maintenance on this car has been impeccable. The car is extremely clean and smells clean. The special order high speed 200 mph Michelin tires are well over $300 apiece, and have over 90% tread left! These Crown Vics ARE IN DEMAND by TAXI COMPANIES, HIGHWAY OVER WIDTH COMPANIES, LARGE COMMUTING BUDDIES WHO LIKE GREAT GAS MILEAGE, LARGER FAMILIES, THOSE WHO WANT A SAFE CAR, NEED LOTS OF TRUNK STORAGE, those who need a bench seat which can take three large passengers in the back. The Interceptor cars came with many heavy duty parts such as a revised transmission, and a 187KW (254PS; 251 HP engine. There is NOTHING this car needs except a new happy owner. Bid in confidence this car is road ready to go anywhere anytime. It is being driven some, so the mileage will be maybe 300 more miles by the end of this ad. Any questions please call me. PLEASE also look at my shiny BLACK 2005 Ford Explorer Sportrac XLT for sale. This Crown Vic's N.A.D.A. retail is well over $10,000. It's a beautiful car, and well worth my asking price. The car can be seen in Springfield, Mo; 65806. Delivery is a possibility for a small fee if needed. Thanks for looking!!

Ford bringing 10 custom Transit Connects to SEMA
Tue, 29 Oct 2013With 57 vehicles planned for its SEMA display, it comes as little surprise that Ford has plenty of teasers for its show cars. After showing us what it has in store for the Mustang, Fiesta and Focus ST, now we're getting a look at some of the custom creations based on the redesigned 2014 Transit Connect van.
These nine Transit Connects are decked out to various degrees of customization, but our favorite might be the chopped and lowered Transit Connect from Mob Steel (shown above), which has a similar slammed stance that we see on some custom VW Buses. On the opposite extreme, LGE & CTS Motorsports has jacked up a Transit Connect to make a Cross Country cruiser that we wouldn't mind taking on a road trip.
There are seven other teasers from various companies, and you can check them all out in the gallery above or in the press release below. Ford is also promising a tenth Transit Connect for SEMA, so stay tuned for that as well.
Ford's Simple Suit Makes You Feel Like A Drunk Driver
Tue, Mar 25 2014We've all heard about the dangers of drunk driving for practically our entire lives. Whether it's from PSAs on TV or lectures in school, no one can claim ignorance of drunk driving being extremely dangerous. However, that doesn't prevent some people from still doing it. Ford is trying to take the safety message directly to young drivers with a special suit that allows them to simulate driving under the influence. It is all part of Ford's Driving Skills for Life program that gives free driving education to young people. The program is meant to "train kids in skills they don't learn in driver's ed," said Kelli Felker, Ford Safety Communications Manager, to Autoblog. The drivers don a few items to impair their senses and make them off-balance to simulate having a few too many drinks and then go out on a closed course with an instructor to see the effects. Felker said that the suit is a new part of the program, and Ford just received the outfit in the US. It will be incorporated into the training here in the late spring or early summer. Scroll down to see the effect it has on drivers in Europe. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
National Geographic Channel balances Ford F-150 on four coffee mugs
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Proving that there is still something to be learned on television these days, National Geographic Channel recently introduced a new series called Duck Quacks Don't Echo. On the first episode of this science/comedy show, host Michael Ian Black proposes the idea that a truck can be supported with a ceramic coffee mug under each wheel - yes, he says that the entire weight of a truck can be balanced on just four coffee mugs.
Looking to find out whether this is fact or myth, the show uses a regular cab Ford F-150, weighing in at 4,800 pounds, and four average coffee mugs. Lowered onto the mugs, the idea is quickly put to the test. Can the cups hold up under 4,800 pounds? If so, what, exactly, would it take to break them? Scroll down below to find out.
