This is one of the nicest examples of it's kind available anywhere, perhaps the nicest one of these in the world. This is a beautiful, southern car that is absolutely as nice underneath as it is on top. It is finished in Vibrant White Metallic Clearcoat, one of the most desirable colors available on the Crown Victoria. If you are searching for the ultimate Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, here you go...

You are viewing a very low-mileage, extremely low idle hours, always unmarked, loaded 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with the coveted "Street Appearance Package". Recently out of service from United States Federal Government, Federal Bureau of Investigation in Virginia, where it was assigned to one agent for it's entire life, with only 27,928 actual, documented miles and 32 idle hours on it. This is a beautiful example of a very rare, hard to find car in the most "in-demand" color.

The original finish is excellent and this vehicle has an absolutely spotless Carfax and AutoCheck report. It has never been involved in any accidents and has never had any paintwork or damage repaired. It is in pristine condition in every regard.

This unit has never had a light bar, decals or antennas installed anywhere. It has no holes drilled anywhere and has never been in regular police service.

This unit is loaded with options, including all of the things you would expect...power heated mirrors, daytime running lights, factory auxiliary police dome lamp, factory-installed Unity 6" driver's side spot lamp, factory AM/FM/CD stereo, driver and passenger side airbags, cruise control, velour cloth front split-bench w/ dual fold-down armrests and velour rear seating, and a 3.27 ratio rear differential w/traction control. These items, of course, are just the beginning of the list of equipment on this car.

In my years of buying and selling police vehicles, I have had very few cars that come close to the condition of these units, they are extremely well maintained, actually over-maintained, and typically need no repairs. This was a one-driver car, assigned to one federal agent throughout the entire life of the car. For those of you who know, that makes all of the difference in the world when it comes to how the cars are maintained and treated. It has NEVER been smoked in, looks as close to new as you will find and has zero wear on the interior, even on the seating. The rear seat appears to have never been used.

It is finished in the factory Vibrant White Metallic finish with Dark Charcoal interior. This is one of the most beautiful colors available on a Crown Victoria. With only 27,928 actual, original miles on it, the exterior is mint and, as stated, the interior shows zero wear. It has been extremely well-maintained and it runs, drives and handles as close to new as you will ever find. It has never been abused and it looks gorgeous inside, outside and underneath.

The trunk compartment is like new, extremely clean, and the original, brand-new full size spare tire is in place.

This unit is also equipped with, of course, the full "Police Interceptor" package which includes the 4.6-liter H.O. engine, 4-speed overdrive heavy-duty transmission, 3.27 ratio rear axle w/ traction control, lateral bow (roof) reinforcement, Good Year Eagle RS-A 235-55-17 police-spec, ultra-high performance radials mounted on the factory, heavy-duty, 17" vented police wheels with full, factory deluxe wheel covers, stainless-steel dual exhaust with factory crossover pipe, police-only lightweight balanced aluminum driveshaft, special police-spec heavy-duty frame, 4-wheel disc brakes, severe-duty suspension, heavy-duty cooling, lamp pre-wire group, certified 140-mph speedometer, tachometer, idle hour meter and much, much more.

For those of you who know Crown Victorias, you are probably already aware that the 2004-2011 models are the years to have...2004 was the first year for the higher-horsepower engine.

All Crown Victorias produced from 2004-onward utilized the new, improved, 250-horsepower 4.6 liter V8 engine and are the fastest Crown Victorias produced due to many changes that were made, mainly in the intake system. Previously, the Police Interceptor produced 239 horsepower, but the 2004-newer Police Interceptor increased that number to 250 horsepower due to the addition of a new "Marauder" air intake setup. This included a new airbox that resembles the Mercury Marauder airbox (raised airbox lid, deeper bottom), with a new, larger, integrated 80 mm (3.1 in) mass airflow (MAF) sensor that is part of the airbox lid. This allows for much more precise flow calibration and reduces the chances of air leakage. The P71 zip tube (the flexible rubber hose between the throttle body and MAF outlet) is also used to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) as well as transfer air from the airbox to the throttle body with minimal flow resistance.

In addition, 2008 was the first year that the Crown Victorias became "flex fuel capable", meaning they will run on either regular gasoline or E85 ethanol blend. The advantage of this is a much improved fuel system with premium quality lines, fittings and seals that will outlast the traditional fuel systems by many years...a big improvement over earlier models.

Crown Victorias like this one are becoming nearly extinct, so here's your opportunity if you've been looking for one of the nicest you will find in a rare and desirable color combination with ultra-low mileage and ultra-low idle hours.

This unit is gorgeous inside and out and is clean under the hood as well...the engine compartment is very nice (please see the pictures). I do not slather motors with Armor All to make them appear nicer, or newer, than they are. The picture of this engine compartment is exactly as it was when the car was purchased...extremely clean.

These are the Crown Victorias aficionados lust after, and this is an unmolested example. It is very responsive, smooth-shifting and, of course, very fast.

This is a factory, all Vibrant White Metallic car, not a re-painted color change like you will see for sale elsewhere.

This unit is in absolutely perfect condition overall condition, has been very well-maintained and has little to none of the normal wear and tear you would expect to find on a used police vehicle. This vehicle, as most used police vehicles do, may have imperfections, but we could find none...this typically includes; scratches, chips, nicks, minute small dings, etc....that being said, this car has no known mechanical defects and it runs and drives as close to new as we have ever seen. Please, keep in mind, we strive to find the nicest used vehicles possible, but they are still used vehicles.

This car drives as close to new as you will ever find. It is a very nice driving, tight unit...not a beat-up police car. It has never been used for any type of normal police or patrol work.

DON'T PASS THIS ONE UP, 2010 MODELS ARE VERY, VERY HARD TO FIND AND I DOUBT YOU WILL SEE ANOTHER FOR SALE IN THE NEAR FUTURE WITH THIS LOW OF MILEAGE AND HOURS, AND IN THIS CONDITION, IF AT ALL.

This 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor will sell to the high bidder at the end of the auction, providing the reserve is met. Please complete all inspections BEFORE bidding...if you win the auction, you own the vehicle.

Because of increasing expenses in every regard, we have been forced to raise our fees by $50, this is the first time in ten years that we have done this, so hopefully you will understand. There will be a $175 documentation fee and a $15 title fee added to each sale, these will be the ONLY additional fees you will be responsible for, unless you reside in the state of Ohio, in which case you will need to pay the proper amount of sales tax, based on the current rate for the county in which you reside. Temporary 30-day plate and registration is also available for $18.50. We do not charge any additional fees and there are no hidden charges. Most sellers are charging double this amount currently.

I welcome any and all questions you might have prior to bidding on this Crown Victoria. I do reserve the right to end the auction early if the vehicle sells locally prior to the end of auction (please call if you like).

I am a law-enforcement officer as well and as such, work long hours so you are free to call me as late in the evening as you like. I can be reached anytime at (614) 893-3857. I will take calls 24/7 up until the end of the auction.

Winning bidder agrees to forward a 25% partial payment (unless a lesser amount is agreed upon PRIOR to the end of the auction) at end of auction via direct bank wire transfer or by overnighted cashier's check, money order or certified funds. Balance will be due within seven days of end of auction or at time of pick up or delivery, whichever comes first. I will help in any way possible to arrange transportation. I can store the vehicle for up to 90 days, until pick up can be arranged, as long as it's paid for in full.

I may be able to deliver this vehicle personally, depending on your location, at a reduced rate.

I have been buying, selling and driving unique, specialty vehicles for over ten years now and take pride in offering only low-mileage vehicles that are not "run of the mill", beat-up cars and trucks. I specialize in the hard to obtain cars, SUV's and trucks, Dodge Hemi Charger, Ram 5.9 Cummins and Ford 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel trucks, Chevrolet Impala and Caprice 9C1 and 9C3 police vehicles, collectible and rare cars, trucks and vans. If there are any questions at all, again, please don't hesitate to call me at (614) 893-3857. I will answer all e-mails as quickly as possible. Thanks and good luck!

Because of people who bid and do not contact me or pay, I am being forced to implicate a rule pertaining to low-feedback bidders. ANY BIDDER WHO BIDS, WITH A FEEDBACK OF 5 OR LESS, WILL HAVE THEIR BID RETRACTED IMMEDIATELY unless they contact me first, prior to bidding. I hope everyone understands, and I thank our hundreds of happy customers, but a few bad apples have spoiled the proverbial bunch. Thanks for understanding.

Please remember, this is a used government vehicle and, although it is as close to it as possible, it is not new. It is, however, in as close to "new" of condition as you will ever find. As such, it will have minute flaws consistent with the miles and age of the vehicle, and with government use, but we could find none. That being said, it is in beautiful shape and runs & looks perfect. It is not what you would typically expect, or what you will find elsewhere for sale. Please, if you want to come and look at it, do so BEFORE bidding...or call me, as always, at 614-893-3857 or e-mail me and I will answer any questions you may have. Thanks!

Ford C-Max sales hold steady despite fuel economy fracas

Mon, 09 Sep 2013

Despite the ballyhoo that accompanied Ford's lowering of the C-Max fuel economy figures, the Blue Oval is still seeing strong demand for the five-seat MPV, as Automotive News reports. Speaking to marketing boss Jim Farley, AN says that the controversy surrounding the C-Max's fuel economy figures won't force Ford to change its marketing strategy.
Ford lowered the fuel economy rating of the C-Max after public outcry and legal action by customers that were unable to reach the 47 miles per gallon promised by the window sticker. The new ratings were dropped about a month ago to 45 mpg on the freeway and 40 mpg in the city. Ford offered rebates for current C-Max owners, with $550 going to those that bought their car and $325 to lessees. The issue, says Ford, stemmed from testing standards that allowed the automaker to base the C-Max's fuel economy on the Fusion Hybrid, because they use identical powertrains. The C-Max's less aerodynamic shape wasn't taken into account, though.
Whether Ford's PR team handled the crises perfectly or people just aren't that bothered by a four-mpg drop in combined ratings, demand remains strong for the C-Max among consumers. Ford moved 3,000 units in August, which was a 12-percent jump over July sales. Meanwhile, consumer demand through third-party shopping websites remains strong as well, according to Autometrics, a data analysis company that spoke with Automotive News. While the long-term effects of the adjustments remain unknown, the C-Max appears to have fared well in the near term.

Spy shooter claims proof of upcoming aluminum Ford F-Series Super Duty

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

Ford has already confirmed that the 2015 F-150 (pictured above) was just the beginning for its more extensive use of aluminum. CEO Alan Mulally said it himself during the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. We've even already seen the future Raptor testing with an aluminum body. But a recent discovery from an intrepid spy photographer might indicate that the lightweight metal is coming to the Blue Oval's Super Duty pickups in their upcoming generation, as well.
According to Automotive News, a spy shooter in Colorado spotted a prototype for the next-gen F-350 testing. He happened to have a magnet on hand and got close enough to check the truck out. When he held it up to the metal in the bed, it didn't stick, which signaled to him a switch from steel to aluminum.
Obviously, this claim raises some questions. Given that it was a test vehicle, one possibility is that the Blue Oval is just evaluating the feasibility of switching to aluminum for the Super Duty trucks, not necessarily committed to it yet. Ford has been testing it quite exhaustively, after all. In fact, much of the rest of the truck in question was covered in camouflage, so it's possible that the magnet failed to work along the rest of the body not because it was aluminum, but because it wasn't powerful enough to get through the disguising material. Thus, the lightweight metal's use could be far less substantial than on the new F-150. Still, it was a clever idea for the cameraman to check things out and might have given us the first hint about brand's next heavy-duty models.

Ford dinged by OSHA for asbestos at Buffalo plant

Sat, 20 Jul 2013

Ford has come under fire from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for violations regarding asbestos exposure in a company metal stamping plant in Buffalo, NY. OSHA has cited Ford for eight violations in total, according to an Automotive News report, and faces fines of up to $41,800. 537 workers are employed at the stamping facility.
The violations include a pipefitter at the facility being exposed to asbestos-containing material while working on a steam line, other workers exposed to the material without respiratory protection and work areas that were not designed to limited the number of workers in contact with asbestos. Further, areas in which asbestos was present were not properly restricted, and levels of asbestos in the air were not monitored.
According to an unnamed Ford spokesperson in the AN report, the company feels that the OSHA citation is erroneous saying, "We have fully cooperated with the local OSHA officials and we don't believe the citations are warranted." Ford also maintains that it will work with the authorities to resolve the issue.
