2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, Unmarked, 26k One Of A Kind!!! on 2040-cars
West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States
You are viewing a very low-mileage, always unmarked, loaded 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with the coveted "Street Appearance Package". It just came out of service with the United States Federal Government, in Pennsylvania, where it was assigned to one agent for it's entire life...and with only 26,498 actual, documented miles. This is a beautiful example of a very rare, hard to find car. The finish is excellent and this vehicle has an a Clean Carfax and AutoCheck report. It has never been involved in any accidents. It is in excellent condition. This unit has never had decals or antennas installed anywhere. It has no holes drilled anywhere and has never been in regular police service. This unit is loaded with options, including all of the things you would expect...power heated mirrors, power windows, power locks, power trunk release, noise suppression bond straps, factory auxiliary police dome lamp, factory AM/FM/CD stereo, driver and passenger side airbags, cruise control, 8-way power driver's seat, cloth front and rear seats, and a 3.55 ratio rear differential w/Traction-Lok (limited-slip) rear differential (code Z5) and electronic traction control (it is VERY rare to find both of these options together on the same car!). Plus many more options. In my years of buying and selling police vehicles, I have had very few cars that come close to the condition of these units, they are extremely well maintained, and typically need no repairs. This was a one-driver car, assigned to one federal agent throughout the entire life of the car. For those of you who know, that makes all of the difference in the world when it comes to how the cars are maintained and treated. It has NEVER been smoked in, looks as close to new as you will find and has zero wear on the seating, carpet, etc. The rear seat appears to have never been used. The trunk compartment is like new, extremely clean, and the full size spare tire, jack and instructions are in place. This unit is also equipped with, of course, the full "Police Interceptor" package which includes the 4.6-liter H.O. engine, 4-speed overdrive heavy-duty transmission, 3.55 ratio rear axle w/ Traction-Lok differential, Good Year Eagle RS-A 235-55-17 police-spec, ultra-high performance radials mounted on the factory, heavy-duty, 17" vented police wheels with full, factory deluxe wheel covers, stainless-steel dual exhaust with factory crossover pipe, police-only lightweight balanced aluminum driveshaft, special police-spec heavy-duty frame, 4-wheel disc brakes, severe-duty suspension, heavy-duty cooling, lamp pre-wire group, 2-way radio pre-wire, certified 140-mph speedometer, tachometer, idle hour meter and much, much more. For those of you who know Crown Victorias, you are probably already aware that the 2004-2011 models are the years to have...2004 was the first year for the higher-horsepower engine. All Crown Victorias produced from 2004-onward utilized the new, improved, 250-horsepower 4.6 liter V8 engine and are the fastest Crown Victorias produced due to many changes that were made, mainly in the intake system. Previously, the Police Interceptor produced 239 horsepower, but the 2004-newer Police Interceptor increased that number to 250 horsepower due to the addition of a new "Marauder" air intake setup. This included a new airbox that resembles the Mercury Marauder airbox (raised airbox lid, deeper bottom), with a new, larger, integrated 80 mm (3.1 in) mass airflow (MAF) sensor that is part of the airbox lid. This allows for much more precise flow calibration and reduces the chances of air leakage. The P71 zip tube (the flexible rubber hose between the throttle body and MAF outlet) is also used to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) as well as transfer air from the airbox to the throttle body with minimal flow resistance. Crown Victorias like this one are becoming nearly extinct, so here's your opportunity if you've been looking for one of the nicest you will find. This is a factory, all White car, not a re-painted color change like you will see for sale elsewhere. This unit is in absolutely gorgeous condition overall condition, has been very well-maintained and has little to none of the normal wear and tear you would expect to find on a used vehicle. This vehicle, as most used vehicles do, may have imperfections...this typically includes; scratches, chips, nicks, minute small dings, etc....that being said, this car has no known mechanical defects and it runs and drives as close to new as we have ever seen. Please, keep in mind, we strive to find the nicest used vehicles possible, but they are still used vehicles. Winning bidder agrees to pay deposit immediately of $500. Recharge Wrap-up: Ford announces e-bike project, Honda Accord Hybrid availability catches up
Thu, Mar 5 2015Supplies of the Honda Accord Hybrid have apparently caught up with demand. Honda originally launched the Accord Hybrid for the 2014 model year, but lack of availability plagued interested customers and eager dealers alike. Honda cited "component supply constraints" - likely batteries, electric motors and the like - for the lack of available vehicles. Now, "The supply of Accord Hybrids in general is in line with the supply of the regular Accord sedan," according to Honda's Angie Nucci. Read more at Green Car Reports. Apple is seeking a resolution to a lawsuit accusing the company of poaching employees from lithium-ion battery maker A123 Systems. A123 has requested a court order stopping a former employer from breaking an employment agreement, as well as keeping Apple from encouraging the person to do so. Apple has requested more time to respond to that court order. A123 has also filed a suit accusing five employees of breaking nondisclosure agreements and going or trying to go to work for Apple. Insiders say that Apple is developing an electric car that could go into production as early as 2020. Read more at Automotive News. South Dakota's Ethanol Infrastructure Incentive Program is helping retailers fund ethanol storage. The state government has set aside $300,000 as part of the program to fund ethanol storage tanks at gas stations. The program, which originally set out to reimburse retailers for building ethanol flex-pumps, is now helping them expand their ethanol capacities. Retailers can apply for funds for pumps and storage through June 30. Read more at Argus Leader. Ford is expanding its Global Mobility Plan with the Handle on Mobility electric bike experiment. The foldable MoDe:Me e-bike is for personal use and commuting, while the MoDe:Pro is built for commercial duty, with both powered by a 200-watt motor and 9-amp-hour battery. The bikes use an iPhone app called MoDe:Link, which provides various information and controls important bike functions. Through the app, the bikes offer navigation (with traffic data, available public transportation and charging locations included), with handlebar vibrations letting the rider know when and where to turn and automatically activating turn signals. The bike can sense and alert the rider to other vehicles on the roadway. Pedal assist is based on heart rate, allowing the rider to arrive at their destination comfortably. Hot Wheels Ford Transit Connect is worth more if we keep it in the box
Wed, 06 Nov 2013If the 2014 Transit Connect is anything like it's utile current-generation predecessor, and we suspect it is, it will undoubtedly be one of the most functional vehicles in North America. Ford has used the occasion of SEMA to turn the TC in to things that both make use of that functionality, and occasionally sort of wreck it in the name of good old-fashioned fun. The Ford Hot Wheels Transit Connect most certainly falls into that second category.
Most TC owners might cite the vehicle's massive cargo capacity as its top positive trait, though in the case of this wide-bodied Transit said space has been sapped in the name of a 55-inch television screen, a massive Hot Wheels drag strip (continuing a popular theme at SEMA this year) and custom storage for dozens of models from one's personal hot wheels collection. Designers have also plucked the grippy Recaro seats from the Focus ST, and thrown in a pair of 18-inch tablet screens for connectivity on the go.
Naturally, the Transit Connect wouldn't be an appropriate SEMA vehicle, or Hot Wheels name-bearer, if it weren't wearing an eye-popping appearance package. Additional homage to the Focus RS can be found in the blazing blue and orange front fascia and bumpers, while 20-inch wheels make sure the wider (four-inches in front and six-inches in the back) Transit Connect sits just right. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder-engine that powers the Hot Wheels TC ensures that the concept is more show than go, but you probably had that pegged from your first look, anyway.
Ford Focus EV's slow sales trigger massive incentives
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The Detroit News reports Ford is having real trouble moving its new Focus Electric. As a result, the automaker is offering substantial incentives in an attempt to lure in more buyers. How substantial? Try $10,750 off of a three-year lease. What's more, the EV can now be had for $37,995 ($2,000 less than its original base price) on top of an additional $2,000 cash discount to buy the EV outright - or you can opt for 1.9-percent financing if you work through Ford Motor Credit. None of which factors in various potential government incentives. Last year, Ford managed to sell a paltry 685 of the 1,627 Focus EV hatchbacks it built.
Ford isn't alone in trying to woo more buyers to its EV effort. Nissan cut the price of its Leaf by a whopping 18 percent for 2013, now down to $28,800 and built in the USA. The move followed the automaker's substantial incentives in 2012.
If you want a Focus Electric, you can now apparently get your hands on one for as little as $285 per month with $930 due at signing for a 36-month lease with 10,500 miles per year.
