2010 Crown Vic Police Interceptor for sale.  This is a one owner car which came from a suburban police department in illinois and was a regular black and white service vehicle.

This car is the best of both worlds!! - Has all the heavy duty police suspension and motor, but has been "converted" to a civilian vehicle with the addition of a center console, new carpet floor mats, regular backseat, rear doors and windows open and unlock from the inside!, and a fresh coat of black paint (applied professionally at a local body-shop)

The good:
Exterior - 10/10 professionally painted all black just last week at a local body shop.  All holes from police lights were plugged properly and painted.  No visible scuffs or defects - like new appearance.
Interior - 9/10 seats in good shape, minimal holes/defects in dash and interior, headliner is perfect, new vinyl back seat, center console installed, new carpet floor mats, all options function as they should: power windows, power locks, power adjustable pedals, AM/FM radio, interior trunk release, interior lights, engine switch (allows you to remove the key and leave engine on, so you can lock the vehicle and leave running) AC is ice cold, and heat is hot.
Mechanical 10/10 Car runs and idles smooth, no check engine lights, etc, transmission is smooth as silk, fresh oil change, all new hoses, new brakes all the way around and a set of brand new Goodyear Eagles installed on Police issue wheels (can withstand up to 40 MPH impact - so wont bend if you bump a curb or anything, etc,)

The bad:
The ONLY issue with this car is that there is no spare tire in the trunk.  They are readily available however, and are cheap at any local tire shop, etc.

If you are looking for a late model blacked-out Police Interceptor without paying dealer prices, this is your car!!!!!  This is a big, safe, fast automobile with all the maintenance done by a local municipality, looks tough in all black, and is ready to cruise down the highway or through the city! The car is 99% perfect inside and out, bid with confidence on this no-reserve auction!  Feel free to contact me anytime with additional questions, or to set up a time to come view/drive the car.
Thank you for looking!!!!!

249 reasons you want to go to Goodwood Revival

Sat, Sep 16 2023

At its most basic, Goodwood Revival is a long weekend worth of car races featuring cars made before 1970. There are lots of those, though, including some pretty great ones all over the world. But nothing is like Goodwood Revival because it's so much more than "just" vintage car racing.  First, you have to look the part. Attendees are strongly encouraged to dress in period clothing from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, with a strict dress code enforced should you want to enter the paddock. The goal is to create a more authentic atmosphere to match the cars and the meticulously restored and recreated paddocks, grandstands and other facilities of the reborn Goodwood circuit. Now, the dress code was relaxed this year since the Saturday was literally the hottest Sept. 9 on record in that part of England, and the organizers didn't want people dropping dead because they needed to wear an ascot. Some people definitely took the "relaxed" bit too far, but there was still plenty of atmosphere maintained. It really does make a big difference, as those "relaxed" individuals were often akin to seeing a Starbucks cup in a scene from "Game of Thrones."  You can see what I came up with below along with former Autoblog editor Reese Counts and various other Goodwood attendees. Second, there's the parking lot. But I'll let this entire separate post detail that. Third, there's the enormous carnival-like area featuring vintage-looking rides and various boutiques. Both of those are on the outside portion of the track, and honestly, you could easily just spend your entire day in the parking lot and carnival/shopping area without even crossing over into the circuit area. There you'll find more shops, food and drink opportunities, plus obviously, race car paddocks and the track itself.  Fourth, there are airplanes! I heard there are fewer than in the past, but they're there and they're cool. The Goodwood circuit started out life as the perimeter road around the World War II airfield RAF Westhampnett.  Fifth, with all of the above, Goodwood Revival really is fun for the whole family. It isn't just a bunch of old guys sitting around in lawn chairs. There are plenty of women and adorably dressed children, including babies in vintage prams. It's also not an event that's exclusively for the uber rich, even if they are certainly in full force given who has the sort of money needed to go vintage racing.

Ken Block is at it again in Gymkhana 6

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

If there's one thing we'll say about Ken Block and his latest installment in the Gymkhana family, it's that it's far more structured than previous videos, but that doesn't mean it skimps on the entertainment. Block is on a purpose-built course which was touted as "The... Ultimate... Gymkhana... Grid... Course" in last week's preview. Unlike Gymkhana 5, which took placed on closed streets in San Francisco, this course seems much more compact.
Block has an entire array of challenges to tackle in his 650-horsepower Ford Fiesta ST, and none of them look particularly easy. In fact, we'd argue that Gymkhana 6's grid course requires much more precise driving that previous titles. There are Segways, Lamborghinis and massive pieces of construction equipment that all must be dealt with.
We've got the entire 6:28 of Gymkhana madness for you down below. Scroll down for the video and then hit Comments and let us know how this installment compares to previous Block works.

These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.
