One owner vehicle history report. We have the vehicle history report on file and will forward it to you upon request. This vehicle was owned and operated by the department of Homeland Security here in El Paso, Texas. It has spent it's life in the sunny southwest. It has never been driven on salted roads. NO RUST. The mileage reads 16771. The title will reflect those miles but it will be marked as TMU or true miles unknown. I bought this car at a government auction and the batteries were dead at the time of the sale. The auction couldn't get a mileage reading. When we put a fresh battery in the car the odometer showed 16000 miles and 98 engine idle hours. The interior is black cloth with a black vinyl rear seat. The floor is black vinyl. The interior is in excellent shape. The power windows, power locks, power driver seat, cruise control, tilt wheel, power lumbar support,CD stereo, traction control, rear window defroster, power side view mirrors and power trunk release all work as they should. This car has the limited slip rear differential. The 4.6 litre 250 horsepower police interceptor motor has awesome power and starts and runs great. The transmission shifts crisp and smooth. The brakes have been inspected and are in good shape. The suspension is good and the car handles very well. Full size spare and jack kit. The tires are in decent shape. The body in is good shape with only minor nicks and scratches. We had this car inspected for structual damage and found none. This P71 was involved in a fender bender late in 2009. It was driven to the storage facility at La Tuna and has basically been parked there ever since. That's why the miles are so low. The damage was to the front end sheet metal and it was not structural. The frame is perfect. Please call me at 915-244-2871 if you need more information. We did a nice job on the repairs. We welcome independent inspections and will do what we can to help. See www.inspectmyride.com for a local inspection. See www.nadaguides.com for Crown Victoria values. I can't anticipate every question so PLEASE call me at 915-244-2871 or send me an email if you need more information. ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS. I always answer my phone and email. My business email address is sselk1.tom@gmail.com . We are a licensed auto dealer and will provide you with a legal temporary buyer's tag if you decide to drive this interceptor home. All fresh fluids and filters so fly into the El Paso International Airport and drive this P71 anywhere with confidence. We will be happy to pick you up at the airport. This car looks, runs and drives great and we stand by our description as accurate but it is a used vehicle and is being sold as is. Please call me if you have any specific concerns. Here is a video of the car. Please watch it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WelR8dvfquw

Ford moving medium-duty F-Series production from Mexico to Ohio
Thu, 27 Feb 2014
A few more Ford trucks will be built in the US in the near future with news that production of the F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks will move from Mexico to Ford's Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, OH. Ford hasn't confirmed a precise timeline for the move, but The Detroit News claims the Blue Oval will make the shift later this year or in early 2015.
As Ford spokesperson Mike Levine reminded us, back in 2011, Ford announced in an investor release that it would shift production "after the [Ohio] plant stops current production of the Ford E-Series vans." According to that release, the Ohio factory will also receive $128 million in upgrades to build the new trucks, plus the F53 motorhome chassis and F59 commercial chassis.
Rowan Atkinson crashes at Goodwood Revival
Sun, 14 Sep 2014To quote Harry Hogge (played by Robert Duvall) in Days of Thunder, "rubbin, son, is racin'." That can mean some unfortunate damage to high-end racing machinery, which may be repaired easily enough in stock car racing, but when it comes to vintage racing, the stakes can be that much higher. And yet incidents do occur, like at this weekend's Goodwood Revival.
Among the many competitors taking part in the retro racing event in England was none other than Rowan Atkinson, the actor perhaps best known for playing Mr. Bean. Driving a classic Ford Falcon Sprint in the Shelby Cup event, Atkinson (pictured above at the 2012 revival) reportedly crashed head-on into another car on track.
According to reports, the two cars up spun out. The driver in between managed to avoid a pile-up, but Atkinson couldn't steer clear and hit the obstructing vehicle. Fortunately Rowan walked away unscathed (and, we imagine, in a humorous manner), but while we don't know how extensive the damage was to the Falcon, it was enough to take it out of the race.
Ford recalls 9,900 vehicles across two campaigns
Tue, Dec 29 2015Ford is recalling a total of 9,885 vehicles in two campaigns. The Basics: In one recall, Ford will recall 9,017 examples of the 2013 Escape with build dates from January 11, 2012, to April 1, 2013, and the 2013-2014 Focus ST produced between May 3, 2012, and October 14, 2013. The Problem: Splices in the engine wiring harness might not have enough compression, and this can cause the manifold absolute pressure sensor to send incorrect signals to the powertrain control module. This issue could cause the engine to stall. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: Dealers will replace the current crimped splices with new splices, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If You Own One: The repair campaign will begin on January 4, 2016. More Information: Ford recalled the 2013 Escape and Focus ST in August 2014 for the same problem, and this is an expansion of that campaign, according to company spokesperson John Cangany to Autoblog. The Basics: In the smaller of the two campaigns, Ford will recall 868 examples of the 2013 Explorer, Explorer Police Utility, Taurus, Taurus Police Interceptor, Flex, Lincoln MKS, and MKT. The Problem: The fuel delivery module can crack, which would cause a fuel leak. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: Dealers will replace the fuel delivery module. If You Own One: Owners should receive notice soon because NHTSA's report says the recall begins in December. More Information: According to Cangany, this recall is an expansion of a campaign from 2013 for these vehicles. RECALL Subject : Engine Wiring Splices may cause Stall Report Receipt Date: DEC 02, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V813000 Component(s): ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Potential Number of Units Affected: 9,017 All Products Associated with this Recall Vehicle Make Model Model Year(s) FORD ESCAPE 2013 FORD FOCUS 2013-2014 Details Manufacturer: Ford Motor Company SUMMARY: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2013 Escape vehicles manufactured January 11, 2012, to April 1, 2013, and 2013-2014 Focus ST vehicles manufactured May 03, 2012, to October 14, 2013. Insufficient compression in the engine wiring harness splices to the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor may provide incorrect signals to the powertrain control module (PCM). CONSEQUENCE: The incorrect signals could cause the vehicle to hesitate or the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
