2008 Ford Crown Victoria  P71 Police Interceptor FLEX fuel

Well Maintained.   Never in Patrol.  Administrator's Car

No Reserve - One of the  best maintained CVPIs you will see.  Here is the PDF summary of  the maintenance history:

2008 CVPI MAINT HX

Here is the original  window Sticker:

Window Sticker From P71 VIN 2FAHP71V48X127242

This P71 had some sort of  damage to the fender and door at the transport facility when  built...I have never been able to detect it.  Here the  workorder from that repair:

Pdf of original  2FAHP71V48X127242 workorder from American Road

At that point it was  immediately sold to a Deputy Sheriff in Florida, who took real good  care of it for 2400 miles, and then got buyers remorse.  He  listed it for sale and it was sold to a Sheriff's Lieutenant in  California.  That Lt. used it as a take home car until 3 months  ago when it was upgraded to a Police Utility.

The car was meticulously  maintained.  It does have many antenna holes in trunk lid but none  on roof.  No spotlights as was delivered from factory.  It had a  minor rear end collision which was cosmetic to the rear bumper cover  - this was replaced (See Maint Log)  At 85000 Miles it had a cracked intake manifold near  raditor inlet (common issue) replaced intake manifold.  Also had the  power steering pump replaced and the idler pulley.

At 106000 miles had all  wheels, centercaps and tires replaced.   Plenty of tread left.

This car WAS NOT IN  PATROL USE.  Mostly highway travel to state capital and back.   GARAGED MOST ALWAYS.  I challenge you to find a p71 with only 525  idle hours!  Most P71s will have 4000-6000 hours of idle time.

It has minor dings and  scratches and there some rippling from a dent repair on the drivers  quarter which is only noticable on close inspection... (collision  with.......wait for it.....skateboarder)

Rubber mats, excellent  rear seat.  Drivers seat creaks a bit, Does NOT have new car  smell...No prisoners ever inside, no smoking, Strong motor,  excellent transmission, air blows ice cold.  Full tank of gas  and fresh oil.  Full size spare with 3900 miles on it total.

What it needs:    It would benefit from new shocks, perhaps a rear end service but  other than that nothing.

2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

You might not be interested in owning a subcompact (B-segment) hatchback for $20,000. Let's be clear from the get go here: there are any number of reasonable arguments for staying away from the highest-content versions of these small cars. Ford's player in the B-segment arena is the newly updated 2014 Fiesta, and the Titanium trim represents the most luxurious instantiation of the model. We recently were loaned a Fiesta Titanium for a week, whose final sticker price hit $20,390, with navigation being the only standalone option added to the bottom line. By way of comparison, the most basic version of the all new, one-segment-up Mazda3 hatchback costs $19,740 with delivery and destination accounted for, and no options added on.
Hold on to that thought for a moment, we'll get back to it.

The 2015 Ford Mustang is not so mellow in yellow

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

When we first saw the 2015 Ford Mustang, much was made of its new, more expressive color palette, which includes the return of both yellow and orange in addition to a new grayish shade, Guard. At that time, we didn't have anything to look at but a few small scale models painted in the new colors - the only Mustangs on display were in Race Red.
For its auto show debut here at in the Motor City, Ford has trotted out a couple of as-yet-unseen shades, including the striking Triple Yellow shown above. The new shade marks a return to a paint color that enthusiasts have been clamoring for, and we must say, it looks excellent under the lights of Cobo Hall.
Stat wise, there are still a number of questions we have about the redesigned Mustang. None of the three engines have had official power figures published. The same goes for pricing information, although if any loose-lipped execs let something slip in Detroit, we'll be sure to let you know. Until then, have a look at the new Triple Yellow Mustang on display at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.

Car-crazy 5-year-old boy writes automakers for treasures, gets big response

Fri, Jan 25 2019

Part of the beauty of children is that they can find worth in something adults might deem unworthy or overlook entirely. Five-year-old Patch Hurty didn't see garbage or a broken piece of a car when he spotted a Ford badge lying on the side of a road. He saw an artifact, a souvenir, a start to a collection he could only dream of. Ezra Dyer of Popular Mechanics tells the story of Patch and his quest to turn that one lost badge into a museum of manufacturer logos. According to the article, Hurty is a car fanatic through and through, even using car names as a way of learning to read. After finding the Ford badge near his Connecticut home, he and his mom put together a plan to reach out to dozens of automakers, confessing his love of things on four wheels. In each letter, Patch assembled a picture of himself standing next to one of the cars, and a penny to pay for whatever he hoped was sent his way. The response was unexpectedly and overwhelmingly positive. Of the more than 50 letters he sent out, including to obscure or defunct companies such as Bugatti, Suzuki, and Saturn, a majority responded with warm notes and some type of souvenir. Two of the coolest responses came from Lincoln and Bentley. Lincoln sent a sketch of a Continental (all car lovers enjoy drawing cars, right?), and Bentley sent a wheel center cap. How awesome is that? The story reminds us of something that can easily be lost in all of the negativity involved with the auto industry: Everybody is in this because of a common infatuation with automobiles. For more details on the souvenirs Patch received and accompanying photos, read the rest of the story. Related Video: News Source: Popular Mechanics Read This Bentley Bugatti Ford Lincoln Saturn Suzuki
