2007 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Only 84k Miles on 2040-cars
Cortland, Ohio, United States
Up for sale in my 2007 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and gorgeous hard to find Toreador Red that shines as new. This P71 has only 85K miles and drives and handles like a dream The exterior: The gorgeous Toreador color shines as like, only minor scratches. This unit never had any police decals. I served as a take home unit for a supervisor with the Organized Crime Division. It was always a slick top. Only one small police antenna on the trunk and a police spotlight. Underneath is as clean as the top. There is absolutely NO RUST. Only one small ding from the inside of the windshield by the driver side. But nothing to worry about. Engine and Tranny: I simply drove this unit back to my home in Ohio approx. 480miles. It rode like a dream with no issues at all. Both the engine and tranny are very responsive, powerful, and very fast. The cruise control works great, windshield and every factory option works great. The heat and AC also work great. Honestly this unit handled and drove as if it was a new vehicle. There are absolutely no vibrations, no strange noises, and it drove straight with no swaying at all. This unit has four almost brand new police high speed rated Good Year tires and a full size spare in the trunk. The interior: This unit has black to dark charcoal color interior that is in above average and great shape. The seats have no rips, stains, or any strange odors. The carpet is also in great shape with only very minor wear by the driver side. The rear seat is almost new as if no one ever sat on it. The ticket light works and there are absolutely no warning lights of any kind with this Unit. The engine and tranny: Very responsive as at any speeds, very fast, and with only 84K miles this unit is not even broken in yet. This unit will serve its new owner for many years to come. There are no leaks or any odd noises as the engine is running. Even the horn works. All emergency equipment have been professionally removed and tucked away. This unit comes with the police center council that you could use for installing any police radios and emergency lights. It also includes two cup holders and an arm rest. This unit could actually be put back to service and will go 300K miles with no problems. This is a great P71 and simply my words and pics will not do it justice because it is very clean. Feel free to stop by for a test drive. Bid with absolute confidence and please feel free to contact me for any questions you may have at 773-255-9856. I am currently driving this unit locally and the mileage may change a bit. This unit is also listed locally and I have the right to end this auction at any time. Thank you all for your time and interest and I wish all the best of luck. Sincerely, Neil On Sep-15-14 at 13:03:57 PDT, seller added the following information: I apologize for the spelling mistakes. Ford Fiesta rally car warms up in Sweden
Tue, 18 Mar 2014Rallycross is seeing a sudden surge in popularity with two series bringing the racing to the US and Europe. The Ford OMSE team is competing in both championships this season, and it saw no reason not to hold practice with a highly modified Fiesta in the snow of Northern Sweden. It brought together Andreas Bakkerud from the European-focused FIA World Rallycross Championship and Patrik Sandell from the North American-focused Global Rallycross series for some training and fun. They certainly appear to be enjoying themselves, too, with some lovely pirouettes in the powder.
If you're unfamiliar with rallycross, the discipline combines the best of rallying and circuit racing. Drivers (with no co-drivers) race rally cars over a circuit that generally mixes dirt and asphalt, and unlike traditional rallying, multiple cars compete side-by-side at once. Even better, it's often a very two-fisted form of motorsports with lots of car-to-car contact. Global Rallycross and World Rallycross will both kick off their seasons in May. With spring on the way, scroll down to watch the Fiesta kick up some of the last snow drifts of the year.
Ford Focus EV's slow sales trigger massive incentives
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The Detroit News reports Ford is having real trouble moving its new Focus Electric. As a result, the automaker is offering substantial incentives in an attempt to lure in more buyers. How substantial? Try $10,750 off of a three-year lease. What's more, the EV can now be had for $37,995 ($2,000 less than its original base price) on top of an additional $2,000 cash discount to buy the EV outright - or you can opt for 1.9-percent financing if you work through Ford Motor Credit. None of which factors in various potential government incentives. Last year, Ford managed to sell a paltry 685 of the 1,627 Focus EV hatchbacks it built.
Ford isn't alone in trying to woo more buyers to its EV effort. Nissan cut the price of its Leaf by a whopping 18 percent for 2013, now down to $28,800 and built in the USA. The move followed the automaker's substantial incentives in 2012.
If you want a Focus Electric, you can now apparently get your hands on one for as little as $285 per month with $930 due at signing for a 36-month lease with 10,500 miles per year.
Ford recalls 1.3 million Fusions, MKZs: Steering wheels could come off
Wed, Mar 14 2018When driving a car, the steering wheel is only expected to move in a rotational fashion, either clockwise or counter-clockwise. When it moves in some other direction, something is wrong, and when it moves the wrong way enough that it is no longer attached to the steering column, that's a really, really bad thing. And apparently, according to a recall issued by Ford, there are over 1.3 million Ford Fusions and Lincoln MKZs that are at risk of this happening. And at least two accidents and one injury have been attributed to the issue. Ford says the problem is that the steering wheel bolt that keeps the wheel attached to the column might not provide enough torque, resulting in the bolt slowly loosening and working its way off the column. The good news is that the fix is really simple. Ford will install a larger bolt with more threads along with a larger nylon patch to keep it all locked down. The fix is completely free to owners. Cars affected by the recall include 2014 to 2017 Fusions built built at the Flat Rock plant in Michigan between August 6, 2013, and February 29, 2016. Model year 2014-2018 Fusions and MKZs built at the Hermosillo factory in Mexico are also affected. So if you have one of those sedans, please get in touch with your local dealer to have the issue addressed. Related Video:
