Up for sale is this clean and strong 2007 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. This unit was assigned to one supervisor Law Enforcement Agent working w/the Drug Enforcement Government Agency. It ONLY has 107K miles with just over 1900 Idling Hours. These are low hours below average since your average retired P71 comes with 5000 to 6000 ideling hours and I have seen them with as high as 14000 idling hours and the engine and tranny still running great and strong. The P71 is a legendary vehicle built to last and with proper on time maintenance it will last its civilian owner/family for many years. The engine in this unit runs very smooth, and very strong. You have to see it and test drive it in order to understand how nice and clean this unit really is. It comes with the highly desirable Street Appearance Package along with great factory Executive/Coach Cloth Seats that you don't usually see in Police Interceptors. The seats are in super clean shape with no rips, stains, or any odors of any kind. The back seat is very clean as if it was never even used. It also comes with black factory carpet with only few small signs of wear and tear on the driver side. By no means, this is a reliable Police Interceptor that is very responsive, strong, and super fast. Mechanically speaking, this is in great shape and absolutely needs nothing. This car has been really taken care of during its service. The AC blows very cold as it should and the heat works great. Every factory option in this car works as it should. Just inspected and ready for sale. Windows are clean with no cracks. The body is rust free. It is super clean underneath. Only minor scratches. The paint shines great. The tires have lots of tread. Only one tire in the front needs balanced and causes a very minor vibration. Other than that this car is ready to go. Ford dinged by OSHA for asbestos at Buffalo plant
Sat, 20 Jul 2013Ford has come under fire from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for violations regarding asbestos exposure in a company metal stamping plant in Buffalo, NY. OSHA has cited Ford for eight violations in total, according to an Automotive News report, and faces fines of up to $41,800. 537 workers are employed at the stamping facility.
The violations include a pipefitter at the facility being exposed to asbestos-containing material while working on a steam line, other workers exposed to the material without respiratory protection and work areas that were not designed to limited the number of workers in contact with asbestos. Further, areas in which asbestos was present were not properly restricted, and levels of asbestos in the air were not monitored.
According to an unnamed Ford spokesperson in the AN report, the company feels that the OSHA citation is erroneous saying, "We have fully cooperated with the local OSHA officials and we don't believe the citations are warranted." Ford also maintains that it will work with the authorities to resolve the issue.
2015 Ford Mustang to make world debut on Dec. 5 [w/video]
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Between a bevvy of spy shots, speculative renders and insidery images from the halls of Car and Driver, we've got a pretty decent idea of what the 2015 Ford Mustang might look like. Still, we're excited to see the real deal as soon as possible.
Turns out that Ford has told us just when that first official look might come, too, although it has chosen somewhat of a backdoor fashion for dropping the news.
The video below popped up on the Ford Mustang YouTube channel this morning, promoting a social media effort called #MustangInspires on. The video and hashtag ask fans of the pony car to share pictures of the car - or "photographic stories of inspiration" - on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. But the truly interesting part of the video description is that which mentions taking "the cover off the all-new Mustang" on December 5. Consider our calendars marked.
