2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Sedan 4-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Hamden, Connecticut, United States
For sale I have my 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Car is in great condition and runs perfect. I acquired this car when it had 70,000 miles on it and it has been one of the best cars I have ever owned. It has 101,900 miles on it currently and I still use it as a daily driver so mileage will increase slightly. The car runs great and I have always been top of maintenance. I have had the oil changed with vavoline synthetic from the beginning every 5,000 miles, at 80,000 I got the transmission flushed, radiator flushed, new fuel filter, new air filter, rear differential fluid changed, new brake pads. Everything that needed to be done on this has been done from top to bottom. I always use high end parts and don't settle for less. Tires are in great condition. I recently bought three brand new Firestone Firehawk Pursuit GT tires which were $400 each and the other tire is at 50%. Everything in this car is tip top. It runs great the transmission runs smoothly and all power everything works. It has tinted windows all the way around with 5% limo tint in the back and 15% tints on the front. I recently got new wipers put on along with a brand new wiper motor. The paint is in good condition it does have some scratches and blemishes throughout but thats expected of a 2006. On the back right bumper it has some paint scrape from the past owner it never bothered me so I never got it fixed. I washed and waxed this car regularly and it truly is in very nice condition. The pictures speak for themselves. I am very sad to see this car go but I am moving to Florida and need to get rid of it. All the emergency equipment will be removed from it before purchase so do not ask if it will stay in. To bid on this vehicle you must have positive feedback no scammers please and I will do pick up only with Cash on pickup only!!!! If you have any questions be feel free to message me, I will be away the next week from March 8th-March 16th so if you have a question I will try to respond back in a timely manner and if you are to win vehicle would have to be picked up after the above dates due to me going to Florida to lock in my move. You are truly getting an excellent vehicle and it is in really good condition. Attached I have a link to a video of a walk around the vehicle. Car has 101,900 miles not 102,900 my mistake. Also I forgot to add that on this car I have the ford chrome center caps so if you want you can take off the rims and have the black steel wheels with the center caps, also there is a Kenwood Head Unit that will go with the vehicle and it is a CD player and you can hook up IPOD through USB. I also have a GO RHINO Pushbumper for this vehicle it is BRAND NEW, i did all the installing but decided I liked the street appearance package better, and I also have HID 8000K headlights in this vehicle with new headlight facias as the old ones were fogged up. These HID lights are a combo you can have HID or regular halogen if you so choose, I put these in because the standard headlights to me were very dim and I had a hard time seeing but these light up the road excellent. I also have a house in North Jersey Morris county as well so buyers from there are encouraged to bid.

Lincoln 'not true luxury' yet, says Ford design chief
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Lincoln is "not true luxury," according to Ford's design boss, J Mays. His statements come from a story in The Detroit News that saw candid language on the issues facing Ford's troubled premium brand. Notably, there's a need for a strong character, with Mays saying, "Every brand needs to have a DNA and a unique selling point and things in the vehicle that make you think, 'That's that particular brand.'"
With a range of rebadged Fords, it's not hard to see why that DNA is missing. Mays hinted that a full recovery for Lincoln will be a ten-year process, that's been kicked off with the MKZ sedan. While that car is still largely a Ford Fusion under its extremely pretty wrapper, it's the first Lincoln in some time to inject its own unique take both through the exterior styling and through interior features, such as the vertical, pushbutton gear selection.
Some analysts weren't so certain about Mays' 10-year estimate. Jim Hall of 2953 Analytics thinks it'll be more like 30 years before Lincoln can show a true return to form. The issue, as Hall explains it, is that, "luxury has a degree of exclusivity," that Lincoln just doesn't have. Michelle Krebs from Edmunds adds, "it's definitely a wanna-be luxury brand," comparing the troubled American brand with Infiniti and Acura, two other brands that have struggled to find their place in the luxury market.
Ford Q1 profits dragged down by warranty costs
Fri, 25 Apr 2014General Motors isn't the only Detroit automaker posting falling profits in the first quarter. Ford just released its Q1 2014 financial data, and it reported a net income of $989 million, down $622 million from Q1 2013. The drop is partially blamed on higher warranty and recall expenses than the company had anticipated.
Financially, Ford suffered a rough quarter almost across the board. Its pre-tax profit of $1.4 billion was also down $765 million from a year ago. Things were even worse in the North American market where operating profit fell significantly to $1.5 billion, down from $2.392 billion in Q1 2013. However, its global revenue ticked up slightly to $35.9 billion, from $35.6 billion in this period in 2013.
Ford admitted that it spent about $900 million on expenses that it hadn't planned for during this quarter. According to Reuters, the company paid about $400 million in additional warranty and recall costs in North America. The automaker didn't explain why the costs were so much higher than expected. However, in the last three months, Ford has had several recalls, including on the 2001-2004 Escape for rust, Explorer for its steering, Edge for its fuel line and others.
Ford's Simple Suit Makes You Feel Like A Drunk Driver
Tue, Mar 25 2014We've all heard about the dangers of drunk driving for practically our entire lives. Whether it's from PSAs on TV or lectures in school, no one can claim ignorance of drunk driving being extremely dangerous. However, that doesn't prevent some people from still doing it. Ford is trying to take the safety message directly to young drivers with a special suit that allows them to simulate driving under the influence. It is all part of Ford's Driving Skills for Life program that gives free driving education to young people. The program is meant to "train kids in skills they don't learn in driver's ed," said Kelli Felker, Ford Safety Communications Manager, to Autoblog. The drivers don a few items to impair their senses and make them off-balance to simulate having a few too many drinks and then go out on a closed course with an instructor to see the effects. Felker said that the suit is a new part of the program, and Ford just received the outfit in the US. It will be incorporated into the training here in the late spring or early summer. Scroll down to see the effect it has on drivers in Europe. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
