Free delivery to San Diego, California Phoenix, Arizona, Oklahoma City or Wichita or Udall Kansas. This is titled in Oklahoma but it should not have any problem being smogged in any state. It is currently in San Diego, Califonia

This car has a bunch of equipment and is turn key and ready to work. It should be purchased by someone who needs red flashing lights. I have only put 4k miles on it and will be taking a loss. This has features including Cruise, Power Driver's seat and Carpeted floor.

It's loaded with options and includes the 3.27 rear axle ratio mated to a 4.6L V8, along with the rare color of Spruce Green Metallic. This car has a squeaky clean Carfax and it can be provided at request. The Carfax report has absolutely no issues and is listed at the correct number of owners and mileage. This car is accident and problem free, period. This car was born at the St. Thomas, Canada Crown Vic plant and was then purchased by Shawnee County Sheriff's Department in Topeka, Kansas on 5/26/2004. The Sheriff's Office used the car on rural patrol until about 50,000 miles and then it was purchased by Montgomery County Sheriff's Office in Independence, Kansas where it stayed until I purchased the vehicle. Montgomery County sold the car to a nearby dealer of police interceptors in Vinita, Oklahoma and this is where I purchased the car. It then had approximately 165,000 miles. The paint and interior is in excellent condition. The front end components on this car are in excellent condition and the way it drives speaks for itself. You can definitely tell this car came from the flat lands. The tie rods don't pop and no front end noise can be heard, and you can let go of the steering wheel and she will drive in a straight line. There is no rust on this vehicle nor has it ever been wrecked. The officers that had this car assigned to them obviously pampered it. I also have pampered this car, I have changed the oil every 3,000 miles and had the car regularly serviced at every interval. I can assure you the car was on a regular fleet service before my ownership so it's never missed a service check. I have put approximately 17,000 miles on this car in rural Cannon County, Tennessee to use for responding to calls on the local fire department. The car was also used for an occasional weekend drive. Since my purchase I have installed a brand new A/C system last year that blows super cold, new high performance brakes last summer, new belts, and I also have had a brand new set of speed rated tires installed this week for the new owner. Receipt will be provided. This car runs, drives and looks great. The engine does not have any odd noises, does not leak, and the transmission shifts strong. The agencies before my ownership stated they used synthetic fluid in the transmission. This car has rare options that are hard to find in a used police car. It has power and heated mirrors, side airbags, cruise control, power seats with lumbar, Ford factory keyless entry with alarm, full carpet and a full cloth rear seat. The interior is in great condition for the year. The paint shines and is not dull and full of dents and scratches typical of a used police car. The only places worth mentioning on the paint is one scratch on the rear fender and two small dents that won't show up with the camera. The interior is free of rips and tears and the seats look good. When I purchased this car it had all of the equipment removed minus the push bumper and the spotlight. I have since re-installed my own equipment which will be included with the car. Below I will list the equipment:

Project Ugly Horse alive and kicking at Road & Track

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

The hallways of the Autoblog campus are much quieter now that Zach Bowman has taken his prose, along with his welders, wrenches and hammers, over to the digital pages of Road & Track, but that doesn't mean our favorite project Mustang is gone forever. Project Ugly Horse is still coming along, and Zach has gifted us another update on his unfoxy Fox Body.
Last we saw of the Ugly Horse, Zach was strengthening up the '89 Mustang's chassis as he prepares to stuff the turbocharged, direct-injected EcoBoost engine of a Ford Focus ST under the hood. First things first, the old mill must go. Head on over to Road & Track to catch the latest chapter of Project Ugly Horse.

Woman trades 1914 Model T in for 2013 Corvette

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

We're sure that dealers must see all sorts of interesting trade ins, but this one may take the cake. Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, Louisiana, recently had a customer come in with an odd request. Tina Boyter wanted to trade in three vehicles on a brand-new 2013 Chevy Corvette. Among the hardware was 1980 Corvette, a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1914 Ford Model T. While the '80 Corvette had been her personal car for years, the '78 Eldorado had belonged to Boyter's mother before she traded up to a Lincoln. The big Caddy had just 10,290 miles on the clock when it was traded in.
And the Model T? Boyter says the car was built as a racer by Ford, and that it had been a show winner for years when it belonged to her father. But, after spending the last 16 years in a museum with its fluids drained, Boyter decided it was time to shed some of the past. She walked into the dealer, laid eyes on a white 2LT Corvette with a red interior and offered to trade all three of the vehicles in on the sports car.
Why not wait for the C7? "I fell in love with that one when I walked in the door," She said. We can't fault her there.

Rare Ford Mustang ASC McLaren is a piece of '80s history

Wed, Jun 1 2016

You can't blame the dealer for advertising this oddball convertible as a "Ford Mustang McLaren." The name certainly rolls off the tongue better than "Ford Mustang ASC McLaren," and it makes the car sound a whole lot more appealing. However, without the 'ASC' in there, you don't get the full picture. And when it comes to the world of strange automotive collaborations—particularly those of the 80s—you most definitely want the full picture. ASC McLaren Mustangs were the result of fortuitous timing, and a project that was already underway between the American Sunroof Company and McLaren (no, not that McLaren). Detroit custom car builder Peter Muscat brought the idea of a Mustang with a tonneau cover to ASC after chopping the top off a Fox body on his own, and in turn ASC founder Heinz Pretcher brought the concept to Ford. Big blue was already in the midst of relaunching a Mustang convertible, which had been absent from the lineup for 10 years, so initially it was the Mercury Capri that got the ASC/McLaren treatment. The result was a car that was more expensive than a Mustang GT, and coupled with declining sales of the Capri overall, the car was discontinued in 1986, paving the way for the ASC McLaren Mustang you see here on eBay. With the change over to the Mustang as their platform for modification in 1987, ASC McLaren were given the opportunity to create something notable. Customizing the Capri was one thing, but the Mustang name carries with it iconic status. So what did ASC McLaren do with their chance to leave their mark on automotive history? They gave the car some visual modifications, both inside and out, but like the Capri, left the powertrain untouched. Also like the Capri, the cars still ended up costing more than $20,000. Between the high price, the economic woes of the late 80s, and disputes between Muscat and Pretcher, the ASC McLaren Mustangs were no more by 1990. During the three year run, 1,806 ASC McLaren conversions were completed, making them quite rare, especially low mileage examples like this one. The 5.0 V8s are known for being stout engines, capable of handling serious modification, and logging lots of miles, so there are no concerns there. The 5-speed Borg-Warner transmission that came in all Mustang GTs is also known for being a durable unit, the '87-'90 versions especially so. The main concern here would be the life the car has lived, and more importantly where it has lived.
