This Bronco is truly a great one. I have gone through it front to back as I was
planning to keep it for many years. I bought the Bronco from a woman in Bakersfield,
CA who stopped driving a while ago and the Bronco had been sitting for some
time which is why I went through it as much as I did. The previous owner told
me that she bought from a friend in Bakersfield, CA who was the original owner.
According to the carfax(which is clean) the Bronco has always been in
Bakersfield, CA until I purchased it and I live in Los Angeles. The Bronco has
been my weekend fun truck to go fishing and camping. I have done a few light(no
4x4 needed) off road excursions in it and it has performed awesome. I doubt the Bronco saw much 4x4 by the older
women I bought it from… I noticed the Bronco has a small oil leak from the rear main seal which is normal but I want the buyer to know. A/C has been recharged (DIY can) and works fair. I would recommend a full evac and recharge by a professional shop. Heater works perfectly.
Passes California Smog 10/2013 and registration is paid through 4/2014. All records and receipts supplied for the above items and some from the previous owner. This has been a great truck and it will be missed. Please feel free to bid with confidence but
please keep in mind that this Bronco as great as it is, is almost 20 years old. BONUS: Buyer will receive some parts that I have that I was saving for after the paint job- New interior and exterior window belts front and rear ($100 value) and the rear window channel weather stripping ($50 value). I have plenty of other parts stock piled which were planned to go on the Bronco after paint which I am happy to discuss with the new buyer and will be provided for an additional cost.

New 2020 Ford Explorer, Lincoln Aviator recalled for minor safety issues
Wed, Aug 7 2019Ford has announced a small recall on 2020 Explorers and 2020 Lincoln Aviators. Select units might be missing a manual park release cover, while others might have instrument clusters stuck in Factory Mode. The recall affects 14,135 SUVs in total. While a vehicle is in production in a manufacturing facility, Ford might put them in what is known as Factory Mode to help reduce battery drain. Affecting the instrument cluster, this mode disables warning alerts, warning chimes, and does not show the PRNDL gear selector display. Ford says one vehicle was in an accident at a production facility as a result of the issue, but nobody was injured. Separately, Ford found that some of these Explorers and Aviators might be lacking a manual park release cover. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards require a manual park release cover that is only removable with a tool. Without the cover, there is a very minor chance the manual park release could be accidentally actuated, which could allow the vehicle to move on its own. The recalls affect 13,896 vehicles in the U.S. and 239 in Canada. The Explorers were built between March 27, 2019, and July 24, 2019. The Aviators were built between April 10, 2019, and July 24, 2019. Owners can use Ford's recall number 19C06, and if affected, can take their vehicles in for fixes.
Old vs. new debate gets new life with $25,000 Fiesta ST vs. E46 M3 showdown
Fri, 10 Jan 2014You know who you are. There's probably a few of you reading; the ones that say, "Why would I spend $27,000 on a new Mazda MX-5 when I could get a used Chevrolet Corvette with more power." Yes, we're talking to you, used car proponents. While it is a fair argument, it's not like used cars don't come with drawbacks of their own, though.
In an attempt to put this new-versus-used argument to bed once and for all, Matt Farah of the The Smoking Tire has picked up a pair of $25,000 cars - a used, but lightly modified, 2003 BMW M3 and a 2013 Ford Fiesta ST. Naturally, there's a comparison.
Farah, as he's wont to do, does get into the nitty gritty of what each car is like to drive, and discusses the merits of used and new-car shopping. But as he rightly points out while testing the M3, "So, it is a good car. But like any used car, it really does depend on the individual car."
Bill Ford op-ed argues we can't just build and sell more of the same cars
Thu, 10 Jul 2014It's hardly a secret that the auto industry is undergoing an enormous, tectonic shift in the way it thinks, builds cars and does business. Between alternative forms of energy, a renewed focus on low curb weights and aerodynamic bodies, the advent of driverless and autonomous cars and the need to reduce the our impact on the environment, it's very likely that the car that's built 10 years down the line will be scarcely recognizable when parked next to the car from 10 years ago.
Few people are as able to explain the industry's many upcoming changes and challenges as clearly as William Clay Ford, Jr., better known as Bill Ford. The 57-year-old currently sits as the executive chairman of the company his great-grandfather, Henry Ford, founded over 110 years ago.
In an op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal (subscription required), Ford explains that the role of automakers is, necessarily, going to change to suit the needs of the future world. That means changing the view of not just the automobile, but the automaker. As Ford explains it, automakers will "move from being just car and truck manufacturers to become personal-mobility companies."
