1989 Ford Brocno XLT Runs great, has a V8, 351 5.8L motor. Only has 103K original miles on it. This Bronco runs very good. It is also equipped with 4x4, this was used seldom but it still works great. I just had the transmission services so that is good to go as well! I purchased this from the orginal owners daughter, he died and she drove, then sold it to me. So for the majority of its life it has had one owner. The interior is in good condition, there is no rips or tears in the interior. It does not look faded or worn. The body is in good shape, no rust on the vehicle. There is a few small dings on the tailgate, but other than that it is pretty good. The paint is faded in a few places but it is the original paint. The tires are in good shape, they are about 50% they are BFG's so they have good tread on them. Everything on this Bronco works, it is ready to go! All the power windows and power locks work, it has tilt steering. The heater blows very hot, i think the A/C may need to be recharged sometime! But it still blows cool! Call me with any questions. Ford to auction Mustang Cobra Jet prototype for charity [w/video]
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Prototypes developed by major automakers typically remain in said company's custody, but every once in a while, one trickles out into private hands. And that's just what we have here. Ford is donating a one-of-a-kind factory prototype for the 2014 Mustang Cobra Jet that will be auctioned off later this month by Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 mated to a T4 competition gearbox, this rare Cobra Jet prototype includes a wheelie bar, chromoly roll cage, Weld wheels, three-link rear suspension, racing brakes, 9-inch rear axle and more. It's painted in a unique satin orange with reflective gray striping scheme, bears the serial number 2014 BJMS CJXX1 and is fully ready for NHRA competition on the drag strip.
To be offered with no reserve on Saturday, September 28, 2013, the Cobra Jet prototype's winning bidder will also receive tutelage at Roy Hill's Drag Racing School in Sophia, NC, along with tours of the Ford Product Development Center, Ford Racing headquarters and Ford Design Studios with Mustang chief engineer Dave Pericak. Former Ford president, Jaguar chairman Nick Scheele dead at 70
Sun, 20 Jul 2014We have the privilege here at Autoblog of reporting a lot of good news, but it is our duty as well to report the bad news and sad news as well. And this is one of those occasions as the automotive industry mourns the passing of one of its leaders.
Nick Scheele was born in the UK in 1944 and joined the Ford Motor Company upon graduating from the University of Durham in 1966, staying within the Blue Oval's portfolio for the entirety of his career. After moving to North America in 1978, he rose through the ranks to become president of Ford's Mexican operations in 1988. After acquiring Jaguar, Ford appointed Scheele as its chairman.
Scheele subsequently acted as chairman of all of Ford's European operations, making difficult decisions to take the division out of the red and into the black. He briefly headed up Ford's North American division before he was appointed in 2001 as president and chief operating officer of the global automaker, working under CEO Bill Ford following the departure of Jacques Nasser departure and retaining the role until his retirement in 2005.
