REMOVE MY TOP FOR A FUN FUN SUMMER!
  • LIFTED AND GIFTED WITH A FULL FLAME WRAP AND A PUNISHER TOP GRAPHIC TO DIE FOR.
  • IT RUNS GREAT AND CATCHES EYES EVERYWHERE IT GOES.
  • I WOULD DESCRIBE IT AS A TRAIL RIG WITH SHOW TOUCHES. NOTE ALL THE CUSTOM PAINT ACCENTS UNDERNEATH AND ON THE ENGINE.
  • IT HAS DEEP RUBBER.
  • NEWER 5.0 V8 W ELDEBROCK CARB, INTAKE AND HEADS (SO I WAS TOLD), AUTOMATIC.
  • NEW INTERIOR...SEATS, CARPET, HEADLINER, NEW RADIATOR, BELT, FRESH OIL AND COOLANT.
  • THIS IS A SOUTHERN AZ / CALIFORNIA VEHICLE WITH NO RUST THAT I HAVE FOUND!!
  • FULL ROLL BAR AND REMOVEABLE BACK OF TOP.
I HAD IT SHIPPED HERE LAST FALL TO USE AS A TRAIL TOY HERE IN TN THIS SUMMER. MY WORK IS NOT GOING TO ALLOW ME TIME TO USE IT AS I HAS PLANNED SO I AM SELLING. I DID SOME PREP WORK LIKE THE NEW RADIATOR, REAR WINDOW MOTOR ETC, BUT JUST DONT HAVE TIME TO HIT THE TRAIL. MY LOSS, YOUR GAIN. I HAVE OVER $7K IN IT WITH SHIPPING AND FIXES.
  • NEEDS ELECTRICAL FINISHED...IE SOME GAUGES. THE PASSENGER WINDOW JUST STOPPED OPERATING.
  • THE TRUE MILES ARE UNKNOWN AND THE SPEEDO CABLE DOES NOT LOOK HOOKED UP.
  • THIS WAS A SHOWY TRAIL PROJECT THAT STILL NEEDS SOME FINAL TOUCHES...BUT IS ROAD WORTHY AND THE VISUAL IMPACT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. SOME OF THE WRAP IS COMING UP IN SPOTS.
  • IT DOES NOT HAVE A HEATER OR AC. DOESNT LOOK LIKE IT EVER DID. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A BAJA CHASE VEHICLE IN A PREVIOUS LIFE. GOOD LUCK BIDDING. CONSIDER IT A TRAIL RIG THAT YOU CAN CRUISE AROUND TOWN.

How that awesome Mustang R/C car chase vid was made

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

We've reported on a few R/C car chase videos in the past. One in particular that stands out as a favorite is Zach King's "The Cliché RC Action Chase." It featured a pair of Ford Mustang coupes racing through a cardboard city, plowing into outdoor patios and busting through construction zones. It was wonderfully creative and fun to watch, yet we know there was more to its creation than a bunch of guys fooling around with a camera one afternoon.
Turns out we were right, as evidenced by this video produced by Ford that takes us behind the scenes of Zach's creation. The young filmmaker explains why he chose the Mustang to star in his video, as well as how the cardboard sets were created, what equipment they used for shooting and what it was like when his video went viral. Ford found the young filmmaker and produced the followup as part of its Mustang Countdown video series, which will see a new video about the Mustang culture released every week until the original muscle car's anniversary on April 17, 2014.
Want to make an RC chase video of your own? Yeah, we do too. Watch the behind-the-scenes video below (you can refresh yourself on the mini feature film, too) before you get started.

California Man Reunited 33 Years Later With Thunderbird

Wed, Sep 3 2014

A California man was at a loss for words when he was reunited with his prized 1964 Ford Thunderbird on Tuesday, 33 years after it was stolen from a bar parking lot. Gary Chartrand could hardly believe how well his old Thunderbird held up in the last three decades. The odometer had only added about 1,000 miles from when he last saw the car back in the 1980s. "A few bumps and bruises but boy, not much changed," Chartrand told KOVR. Chartrand bought the car as a present to himself after finalizing his divorce from his wife of 10 years in 1981. It disappeared one night from the parking lot of a Sacramento bar where he was working. Police found Chartrand's car 750 miles north in Washington State. They have no leads on who might have stolen the classic car. Related Gallery Buying An Older Car: Five Things To Watch Out For

Ford to add Android Auto and CarPlay to 2016 SYNC 3 cars via update

Fri, May 19 2017

Ford is updating a large number of 2016 model year cars equipped with SYNC 3 infotainment software, adding Android Auto and CarPlay to the vehicles with a free, over-the-air update via Wi-Fi, or using either USB or going through their dealer. The upgrade will be available for around 800,000 vehicles in total, giving a huge number of Ford car owners the chance to get big infotainment improvements without having to buy a newer model car. The OTA update option is also a big step for Ford – it's the company's first for software ever, and it's one of the major reasons that Ford recently hired around 400 new mobile smartphone engineers, the company tells me. For CarPlay, users will still also need to upgrade their vehicle's USB hub to make this work (which will also incur a dealer visit and a cost), but for those on Android, all that's required is a simple software installation. The USB install method is also faster, but the Wi-Fi update option is the start of the company's efforts to really increase its OTA update program, which will be used for security improvements as well as infotainment bumps. Even with a dealer visit and hardware upgrade for CarPlay, this sounds like a worthwhile thing for 2016 vehicle owners to do. CarPlay and Android Auto are huge upgrades vs. most in-car software, offering navigation and entertainment options that follow you from your phone to your car. Retroactively offering this kind of thing to car owners is a definite change in tone for carmakers, since they typically use these kinds of things as incentives to get people interested in vehicle model updates. But as data becomes increasingly important to automakers as a business, it makes sense to encourage greater in-car use of devices.Written by Darrell Etherington for TechCrunchRelated Video: Auto News Ford Lincoln Technology Infotainment android
